Cruz Beckham Mocks Brooklyn Beckham's Career Amid Feud

Buzz Feed23-06-2025
After literal years of speculation, it seems like the rumored tension between Brooklyn Beckham, his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham, and the rest of the Beckham family has reached a boiling point.
For context, David and Victoria Beckham share three sons: Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, along with a 13-year-old daughter named Harper Seven. In 2022, when Brooklyn married Nicola, there were rumors of a big fallout between Nicola and Victoria. And while Nicola denied this was the case, there have since been several signs suggesting that the Peltz Beckhams are still at odds with Brooklyn's side of the family.
For starters, Brooklyn and Nicola didn't attend a single one of David's 50th birthday celebrations earlier this year, nor did they acknowledge David being awarded a long-awaited knighthood by King Charles III. On top of that, Brooklyn also snubbed his dad on Father's Day, which, if you know how active the Beckhams are on social media, is pretty shocking.
Despite reports from People that there 'are tensions between Brooklyn and Nicola and the family,' we don't have confirmation as to what might actually be going on between the two parties. Some sources claim that the rift stems from a dispute over Nicola and Brooklyn's wedding, while other insiders have speculated that it may have had something to do with Romeo dating one of Brooklyn's rumored exes.
The rumored ex in question, Kim Turnbull — whom Romeo is no longer dating — recently denied that she was ever romantically involved with Brooklyn, so who knows.
But, regardless of what the cause may be, Romeo and Cruz have been hinting that they may not be Brooklyn and Nicola's biggest fans. In May, the younger Beckham boys appeared to publicly mock Nicola on Instagram, and a few weeks later, Cruz posted a pointed IG tribute to his family, which many interpreted as a dig at Brooklyn's previous comments about how he will 'always choose' his wife.
And now, Cruz seems to have made yet another dig towards his oldest bro — and this time it feels personal.
On Sunday, Cruz, who's following in his mom's musical footsteps, uploaded a TikTok video of himself playing guitar and performing an unreleased song, titled 'For ya love.' In the comments section, one critic wrote, 'Are you going to stick with this job or going to become a race car driver next or something?,' to which Cruz bluntly replied, 'Wrong brother mate.'
Now, in case you've forgotten, the person's comment was presumably in reference to the online mockery that Brooklyn has faced over the years for his varied and sometimes short-lived career pursuits.
If you need a reminder, Brooklyn has dabbled in several different career fields, first starting as a hopeful soccer player before stepping back to try his hand at modeling. He then ventured over into the world of photography, memorably releasing a book of photos, called What I See. In 2017, Brooklyn seemed set on photography and began a four-year course at Parsons School of Design. However, he reportedly dropped out after one year, and the next thing we knew, he'd found his true calling as a chef.
Despite previously saying he'd never taken a cooking class, Brooklyn has remained pretty dedicated to the culinary world. His ongoing chef era has led to an appearance on the Today Show, a web series called Cookin' with Brooklyn, a bottled Sake brand, a pop-up restaurant, and a hot sauce line called Cloud23. That said, his cooking pursuits have come with a fair amount of mockery, centered mainly around his relatively basic recipes.
And with such a stacked resume already, Brooklyn recently threw a curveball by unveiling his latest venture in the world of Formula E motor racing, which is presumably what the commenter on Cruz's post was referring to.
As it stands, Brooklyn has not acknowledged Cruz's comment, but we'll be sure to let you know if he does. In the meantime, I think David and Victoria should consider confiscating Cruz's phone...

FC Barcelona honors Kobe Bryant with ‘Mamba Mentality'-inspired road uniforms

Kobe Bryant will always be remembered as a Lakers legend and one of basketball's all-time greats. But in February 2009 — in the middle of his 13th NBA season — Bryant appeared on the cover of ESPN the Magazine wearing another team's uniform and playing an entirely different sport. The cover shot showed Bryant in full FC Barcelona gear and performing some pretty fancy footwork with a soccer ball. In a video for ESPN the Magazine, Bryant explained that he was a longtime soccer fan who had become 'captivated' by superstar Ronaldinho, who played for Barca from 2003-2008. 'That's how I started following the team,' Bryant said, 'and from that point forward I just stuck with them.' Now, more than 16 years later, Barcelona players will be wearing Bryant-inspired uniforms. Revealed Tuesday by Nike and Barca, the team's 2025-26 away kits will feature a number of nods toward the late NBA legend and his famous Mamba Mentality. The colors are variations of the Lakers' purple and gold. A snakeskin pattern is featured on the shorts and portions of the jersey. Bryant's 'Kobe Sheath' logo appears prominently, including on the upper right section of the jersey where the Nike Swoosh would normally be placed. 'Born from a shared obsession with relentless self-improvement, the partnership brings the Kobe Sheath to professional football for the first time through a collection that captures the dedication and values central to Kobe's legacy and Barça's DNA,' Nike said in a press release. 'The collaboration celebrates Kobe's lifelong love for football and admiration for FC Barcelona's joyful style of play and philosophy. In return, Barça recognizes Kobe as a driving force in global sport who lived by the discipline and drive for greatness that defines the club.' Barcelona wasn't shy in promoting the new look on Instagram. 'Two icons, one shared story,' the team wrote in one post. 'A collaboration born from mutual admiration and the values that unite us: talent, commitment, and passion.' Barca added in another post: 'The Mamba Mentality is in us.'

Coffee buckets are the latest kooky caffeine trend for jittery java junkies: ‘I'd be on the toilet for days'

That's a whole latte java. The latest kooky caffeine trend to take hold among fiends is bigger than ever — literally. Venti, Trenta? No longer big enough. This summer, everyone's turning to coffee buckets — clear, colossally-sized plastic takeout carriers filled with jitter-making iced joe and complete with handle for carrying ease. Advertisement 3 One six-second video from TikTokker @ showing off her iced coffee bucket blew up, garnering 4.3 million views. TikTok/ TikTokkers, predictably, can't get enough — #coffeebucket-tagged vids are vrooming up the charts on the popular social media app, reeling in millions of views. One six-second clip showing off one of the super-sized sippers pulled in 4.3 million alone. And while the 32-to-50 oz. drink drums are supposedly shareable, they're often showed online being enjoyed solo. Advertisement 'If you're trying to lure me, it's working,' someone quipped in the comments of another viral video, posted by Wicked Southern, a coffee shop in Salem, Conn. 'I fear i would get in the windowless white van for this,' another admitted. 'Just a little bucket of extra anxiety,' one laughed. 'I'd be on the toilet for days,' a user confessed. Advertisement 'When we started seeing the bucket trend pop up more and more, we decided to give it a shot and launched ours at the beginning of June,' owner Kaylee Shilosky explained to Better Home & Gardens. 'People went crazy for it, and we sold out again that very same day,' she said. TJ's Burritos, another Nutmeg State business that sells Mexican food and coffee, started selling the titanic tumblers in late May — and sold out the first weekend. Advertisement 3 Coffee buckets are a giant, clear, plastic takeout-style tub filled with cold brew or iced coffee, complete with a handle. Wicked Southern Coffee The owner, Tricia Martin, told CT Insider she now sells at least 1,000 per week — sometimes 200 per day. 'It seems like it's a thing right now,' Alaina Roberto, owner of Last Drop Coffee Shop in Monroe, Conn., chimed in. 'It's a bucket summer.' While nobody seems to know exactly where the idea originated, coffee shops across the East and Midwest have been seen offering the bonus-sized beverages. 'Any of our lattes can be made in a bucket, as long as it's iced and it [consists of] four shots of espresso, ice, eight to 10 ounces of milk, and then whatever syrups go with the flavor that they selected — and then we also offer a cold foam topping,' Brittany Stier, co-owner of Missouri's Noctua Coffee told BHG. 3 Most of these jumbo-sized coffee drinks range from 32 to 50 ounces. Wicked Southern Coffee Not only do people like the aesthetic of the coffee bucket, but it also shows the shift in coffee culture toward extravagant and bold creations, with many resembling — or at least sounding like — desserts. Noctua Coffee's most popular bucket at the moment, Stier said, is the Blueberry Muffin, which consists of blueberry syrup, brown sugar, cold foam and cinnamon. Advertisement Wicked Southern also reported seen great success with the Caramel Banana Latte — and their top-seller, the Tiramisu Latte. 'We've seen people posting our buckets at the beach, the local lake in town, and even grabbing a few to start a bachelorette trip,' Wicked Southern's Shilosky shared. 'A lot of people make it a little ritual.'

New Dunkin' ad brings up ‘genetics' right after Sydney Sweeney's controversial commercial

A new commercial has people talking about eugenics again — more than the actual product it's selling. How did we get here? On July 29, Dunkin' launched a pair of new Refreshers to its menu. To introduce one of them — the Golden Hour Refresher — the brand partnered (again) with 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' star Gavin Casalegno for a new video posted on social media. 'Look, I didn't ask to be the king of summer, it just kinda happened,' Casalegno says at the start of the 35-second spot. 'This tan? Genetics.' Casalegno then talks about his color analysis 'literally' coming back 'golden summer' as he lounges by a pool with a Refresher in hand. 'Can't help it — every time I drink a Golden Hour Refresher, it's like the sun just finds me,' he says. 'So if sipping these refreshers makes me the king of summer? Guilty as charged.' Instead of being flooded with fans excited to try the new drinks, the ad's comments section is full of people wondering why a certain word was used in the script. 'why are ads so obsessed with genetics all of a sudden,' asked one TikTok user — referencing Sydney Sweeney's controversial American Eagle campaign — and they were far from the only one with that question. 'What in the Sydney Sweeney did I just watch,' asked one more. Representatives for Casalegno and Dunkin' did not immediately respond to request for comment. The 'Euphoria' actor's campaign, which aims to sell the clothing company's new denim line, is centered around the tagline 'Sydney Sweeney has great jeans,' a double entendre critics say promotes the idea that Sweeney — blonde, blue eyed and white — is genetically superior. A representative for Sweeney declined to comment to NBC News. American Eagle also did not respond to a request for comment. Some Dunkin' customers are feeling so icky about the situation, they say they're forgoing their usual coffee run. 'K so skipping my Dunkin for today,' commented one user. 'i'll go to starbucks today ig,' wrote another. 'So no American Eagle or Dunkin' got it,' said one more. And others are clearly just not 'Team Jeremiah' since Casalegno plays Jeremiah Fisher in 'The Summer I Turned Pretty.' The series' main conflict is driven by its main character, Belly (Lola Tung), choosing between Jeremiah and his older brother Conrad (Christopher Briney).
