Eurovision stars Remember Monday secretly hit studio with ‘freaking awesome' chart-topping British band
But girl group Remember Monday also impressed fellow musicians with their hit What The Hell Just Happened?
3
In fact, the lads from McFly were so taken with their performance, the two bands have been in the studio together.
The Remember Monday girls — Holly-Anne Hull, Lauren Byrne and Charlotte Steele — are back today with their sunny new single, Happier, and have also been writing with McFly following an introduction at last month's Capital Summertime Ball.
In an exclusive interview, Holly-Anne told us: 'We met McFly and we have always been fans.
"Obviously, they can really write a good song. We've been in the studio with them. They're freaking awesome.
'It's been really productive. We've finished one song. We were actually just discussing going to work on some more.
'But hopefully these songs will be out sooner than we think because I think we do want a body of work.'
The girls decided to kick things into gear in the studio after being inspired by their idol Sabrina Carpenter, whose new record is out next month — 12 months after her last one.
'Stars of the show'
Lauren said: 'As soon as Sabrina announced she had a new album coming out, we were like, 'What?!'. We were spurred into action.'
The group, who will perform at Latitude Festival in Suffolk today ahead of a nationwide tour in the autumn, have also recently been working with two stroppy divas — a pair of Shetland ponies.
The cute animals make cameos in the Happier music video, which will come out on YouTube on Sunday — but they were a nightmare on set.
Remember Monday star shares big update on 'stolen' wedding ring after Eurovision
Charlotte said: 'The music video came really easily to us and we've always wanted to do, like, a really girly kind of Desperate Housewives meets Barbie world story, and we think it's really, really living up to that.
'We had Mr Pickles and Miss Money Penny, who are two miniature Shetland ponies. They are so cute. Extremely clever stars of the show. But they ran away during the video. They were having a diva moment.'
Following their Eurovision performance, the girls told me they are planning a holiday in Italy — where the jury gave the UK a maximum 12 points — and are hoping either a music newbie or Little Mix star Jade might represent us next year.
Charlotte said: 'I think it would be really cool to have an unknown because it's such an amazing platform.
'We were unknown and look what it's done for us. We can't say a bad word about it.'
Lauren added: 'But Jade would be cool, too. That's what we keep saying to everyone.'

'A WOMAN has revealed what it's like having a husband who also has another wife. Tami Winder met her husband Colton 13 years ago, and the pair have been married for 12 years. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Colton is married to both Tami and Sophie Credit: Youtube 2 The pair admitted that plural marriage can be hard Credit: Youtube The couple are both Mormon and revealed that despite the Mormon church outlawing plural marriage, they still have always believed in "plural marriage". They remained a duo for a number of years before meeting Sophie, who became Colton's second wife. Both 'sister wives' have a physical relationship with Colton, but are not intimate with each other. For the first two years of their plural marriage, Sophie and Tami lived separately, so that they could ease into polygamy. When they finally all moved in together, Sophie and Tami realised that they didn't know each other at all, and struggled to adapt to their clashing personalities. This led to a number of misunderstandings, with Colton revealing that he sometimes felt like he was "standing in the middle of a tornado." Cowboy Colton now spends alternate nights with his two wives, which they both agree is one of the "hardest" parts of the marriage. Tami revealed that at times she feels like she is "falling short" as a wife, which is why Colton has a second wife. However, he insisted that his first wife is "perfect" the way she is. Tami said that she often feels jealous in the relationship, especially when Colton goes on a date with Sophie. First Dates hosts its very first throuple in new series However, she added that if she communicates these feelings to Colton and Sophie, they do their best to "alleviate" her issues. Date night happens once a month, with Colton either going on a separate date with each of his wives, or the three of them going out together. Only Tami is Colton's legal wife, as plural marriage is illegal in the state of Utah, where the trio lives. "Sophie is more of a spiritual marriage", Colton explained. What is polyamory? Polyamory is the practice of having romantic relationships with more than one person at the same time, with the knowledge and consent of all parties. It can refer to relationships where one person has multiple partners or spouses, or where all parties are in a relationship with each other, for example in a throuple. According to You Gov, 6.8% of people in the UK have been in a polyamorous relationship. He added that their way of life is frowned upon and that they live "outside the law." The trio have three children between them, which they all co-parent, and are aiming to continue to grow their family. Tami birthed one of the children, whilst Sophie birthed the other two. Determined to make her brood bigger, Tami is now using IVF, and revealed that she struggles with the fact that Sophie popped out two children in quick succession, whereas she has found it more difficult. "If you're sleeping with the same man, you think it's got to be something to do with you", she said. The trio agree that it can be really hard to live together, but added that it's all worth it because their children make their plural family feel "complete."

Danny Jones' emotional chat with wife Georgia as he opens up on 'hurt and trauma'
McFly star and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2024 winner Danny Jones married his wife Georgia in 2014, and together they have son Cooper McFly star Danny Jones returns to screens tonight in a re-run of Michael McIntyre 's The Wheel, just days after his wife Georgia posted their first photo together in four months. This snap was shared after he had an alleged kiss with his former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! co-star Maura Higgins at The Brit Awards earlier this year. In the picture, Danny and Georgia are seen beaming, as they posed alongside 15 of her relatives for a family photo. The picture appears to quash any doubts about their 11-year marriage, as they continue to remain together. Just weeks prior to the controversy, the 39-year-old musician gave his most candid interview to date, on the High Performance podcast. In the lengthy discussion, he opened up about his battles with anxiety and his decision to seek professional help, after his father Alan left during his teenage years. The King of the Jungle met his first therapist at the age of 18, around the time McFly were first making waves in the music industry. Having realised the positive impact therapy had on his mental health, he has pursued his path to healing ever since. Quizzed about his wife's reaction to his personal struggles, he admitted she had her reservations at first, but these changed once he explained his need for it. "It's just little steps over the years that you do and I think it's the same with healing and the same with dealing. I was obviously hurt by something and traumatised and needed rebalancing, or reprogramming should I say," he shared. "You know, it's great talking to friends, it's great talking to your loved ones, because my wife didn't understand why I had to go at first. "She's like, 'Why don't you talk to me? Why can't I help you?' But I needed that one professional, actually many professionals over my time, just to reprogram me and podcasts helped me massively." Danny said he found particular solace in listening to Mel Robbins, famed for her TEDx talk How to Stop Screwing Yourself Over, and business owners who shared his sentiments. "I just related to these people over the years of listening to podcasts and I found it so helpful," he revealed. "That's when I went to my wife and I was like, 'I think I need to go back to therapy', because I had that Ashley guy (one of his therapists) when I was 18, but then I feel like I needed it again. "And I felt like how many times can my wife hear me talk about this? And I didn't want it to get too much for her." While he is now in an improved mental and emotional state thanks to therapy, Danny said he still occasionally grapples with understanding his feelings. Reflecting on his stint in last year's I'm A Me Out Of Here!, he added: "There's definitely things that I've learned in the jungle, that I need to just talk about, [such as] understanding myself, and understanding my emotions. I still don't do that, because I think understanding my emotions will help me to communicate better. I just need to work on that." Michael McIntyre's The Wheel airs tonight at 7.05pm on BBC One.

Britain's Got Talent judge Bruno Tonioli quits after 2 years
Bruno Tonioli, who was formerly a judge on Strictly Come Dancing, has stepped away from the role on BGT due to other filming commitments. Rapper KSI, who featured as a guest judge on this year's series, is in talks to become Bruno's permanent replacement, according to The Sun. A show insider told The Sun: 'Bruno has officially quit Britain's Got Talent and they are hoping that KSI will replace him. "He absolutely loved being on the panel with Simon, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden but Bruno just can't juggle his schedule with filming. There is no bad blood and Bruno is leaving with a smile on his face.' Bruno's ongoing commitments include US dance competition Dancing With The Stars. Earlier this week, rumours had circulated about Bruno quitting the show as a source said: "The filming schedule in 2024 meant that Bruno could get away with not being present for filming one week of auditions." "But it would be virtually impossible for him to miss two weeks, because in the final edit, that equates to half the episodes in the new three-month run of BGT, which will air from February of 2026." The 69-year-old joined the judging panel in 2023 alongside Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, following David Walliams' departure. Newcomer KSI, born Olajide 'JJ' Olatunji, is an internet personality, musician and boxer. Recommended Reading: Who is Britain's Got Talent judge KSI?
