Justin de Haas in mix for Celtic £3m transfer as Nicolas Kuhn tees up double winger blockbuster

The Premiership champions are reportedly keen on the 25-year-old who plays for Portuguese top flight side Famalicão
Celtic are considering a move for towering Dutch defender Justin de Haas.
The Premiership champions are reportedly keen on the 25-year-old who plays for Portuguese top flight side Famalicão and has been scouted extensively with Celtic keen on defensive reinforcements.

Celtic have watched Maik Nawrocki exit on loan with Stephen Welsh and Gustaf Lagerbielke likely to follow with the latter already pictured in Braga's training gear.

De Haas - who plays on the left side of central defence – has been watched by a series of sides across Europe and could cost around £3million.
Liam Scales regained his starting berth next to Cameron Carter-Vickers from Auston Trusty but the American is aiming to build on a strong start to pre-season and regain his place as Carter-Vickers' partner.
Meanwhile, Celtic are getting set to splash the Nicolas Kuhn cash with the Hoops bang in the hunt to land TWO new wingers.
The Parkhead club are still in talks with Royal Antwerp over attacker Michel-Ange Balikwisha and also interested in Rapid Vienna's Isak Jansson.
Celts will pocket the lions' share of £17m when Kuhn completes his move to Serie A Como in the next 24 hours.
And more cash could be on the way with Gustaf Lagerbielke in advanced talks with Braga over a move.

Fellow centre back Nawrocki completed his loan switch to Hannover at the weekend – with an option to make the move permanent at the end of next season.
Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers has already snapped up Kieran Tierney, Benjamin Nygren and Callum Osmand as first team reinforcements, with keeper Ross Doohan arriving as back up and Hayato Inamura landing as one for the future.

But the Irishman is now looking to push for major new arrivals – with a couple of wide men, a striker and another centre back the key positions to fill.
Balikwisha has been a long-term target and Antwerp have been forced to lower their initial £5m plus asking fee as they look to get a deal done early to free up funds for a replacement.
The 24-year-old Belgian is understood to be keen on the move after battling back from the injury which scuppered his chances of a Parkhead switch last summer.
Rapid ace Jansson – who was Kuhn's replacement for the Austrian giants – is believed to be available for around £3m after an impressive campaign.
Serie A big hitters Lazio and Fiorentina are circling, along with French outfit Paris FC and some clubs in England.
Celtic have several other targets but will be cranking up their shopping spree as they prepare to head to Ireland and Portugal this week.
The Hoops are in Ireland tomorrow to take on Cork City and then will depart for Lisbon where they face Portuguese second tier outfit Estrela da Amadora behind closed doors on Saturday and Sporting Lisbon in Faro the following midweek.

I'll be back to defend my crown, vows new Northern Ireland Stages Rally king Aaron McLaughlin

The County Donegal man opted to miss a family wedding in the hope of securing the title with a round of the national series to spare — and he delivered with a top-three points-scoring finish. McLaughlin becomes only the second person from south of the border to add his name to the Association of Northern Ireland Car Clubs (ANICC) trophy; Monaghan's Stephen Wright was the first Irishman to achieve the feat back in 2019 after winning a tie-break from Derek McGarrity. McLaughlin was forced to do it the hard way, however, having to recover from a disastrous start at the Loughgall Stages that involved a costly off-road moment in his Volkswagen Polo GTI R5. Fastest times on the next five short, sharp tests through Loughgall Country Park quickly pushed him up the leaderboard, yet despite his speed he was unable to usurp the naturally aspirated Proton Satria Neo of Marty Toner, with the pair separated by less than two seconds at the finish. 'I have never had Championship and Aaron McLaughlin in the one sentence, so the feeling is pretty good — we have never won a title or anything like that before. We are absolutely over the moon,' said McLaughlin, who made a quick exit from Loughgall so he could attend the wedding after party. 'We had a bit of a disaster on the opening stage but we managed to claw our way back up the leaderboard and found ourselves in a huge battle with Marty right until the day's very last stage. 'We gave it everything to try and get back in front of him but we just couldn't make up any more than three seconds a stage each time. Losing 15 on the first one left us pretty far back and making that up here was always going to be a really big ask, but at least we can say we tried. 'It was small margins at the end but I could not have lost to a better man. Marty and the entire team are sound men, so I have no complaints about who the overall win went to,' he continued. 'It would have been nice to win the rally and the Championship on the same day but we have no complaints — we achieved what we set out to do and already the plan is to return next year and defend our title. It is a great competition and, logistically, one-day rallies just work for me.' Armagh's Jason Black was once again in mesmerising form at the controls of his 2.5-litre, rear-wheel-drive Toyota Starlet as he delighted his local supporters by coming home in third place.

Celtic star admits Scotland national team call-up is a target and says ‘I'm sure at some point it WILL happen'

But McCowan, 27, is desperate for more, and would love to make the breakthrough into Steve Clarke's squad for the World Cup qualifiers. Asked if Scotland recognition was a target, he said: "Of course. "If it comes along, I'd be really honoured to go and put that top on and represent my country. "Just now, it's not happening. "But I'm sure that if I was to play well enough in the times ahead, it will hopefully come along for me. "Scotland is not something that I'm totally focused on. "I'm focused on Celtic, but if that was to come along, I would be absolutely delighted. "That's an aim for anybody playing at a club this size, to go and play for your national team. "It's outwith my control, I just need to keep doing what I have been doing, and if I can add numbers and more game time in the league this year, hopefully I'll get a chance. Nygren 'will be Hoops' best transfer this summer' plus Kuhn, Yamada latest | Celtic transfer special "You would always like to think that you have something to offer at Celtic, so why can't I do it with Scotland? "I'm sure at some point, if I was to keep the level I have been performing at here, it will happen. "And if it does, then I'll come out with open arms and be delighted with it." McCowan is right to believe he CAN break into the Scotland set-up soon. He's proved at the champions he's got the technical ability to cope with top-level football. If he can play regularly for gaffer Brendan Rodgers this season then Clarke must consider giving him a chance in a Dark Blue jersey. McCowan added: "I'm feeling great. "It's good to get a pre-season and just work on the parts of my game that I need to improve on. "Hopefully by the time the league comes round I'll have improved, and I can use that going into the season." After making the move from Dens Park last August, McCowan played his part in Celtic's title-winning season. But he's determined to improve in the months and years ahead and get even better. McCowan said: "Every day is a learning day, and you want to take as much information as you can when you're playing with guys like Cal McGregor, Jamesy Forrest, and all the leaders in that dressing room. 5 "I just need to hopefully become as much of a leader as I can this year and have another good season. "You can't just go into a changing room full of league winners and cup winners and act like one of them. "You need to learn that from those guys. "I learned last year, and it's about learning again this year and using it as much as I can and using the experience from last year. "I'm feeling good going into pre-season. "And I believe I can improve again, 100 per cent. "If you don't think like that, there's no point in continuing. "Every day is learning, I need to stay motivated and hope that this season could be even bigger than the one last year. "It's about repeating it and probably doing better than what I did last season. "It's about adding more numbers again and more creativity, whatever it may be. "I've always looked at my stats and used them as something to work on. "I've worked on it forever now, I've always done it and I believe that will continue this year. Aberdeen brutally troll EVERY Premiership rival with video including Celtic captain crying & Rangers TV's 'corrupt' clip "But it's about using the good of last year and then trying to improve the bits that maybe weren't so good for myself, and making them better for the season ahead." McCowan took time off in Italy and Spain during the summer break — but was soon back training hard. He added: "You rest for three or four days and then your mind just goes. "You need to get a bit of sweat on and try and get back in there. "I was on the treadmills and pitches, but then you get the feet up as well, so it's nice." McCowan has admitted he's been left gutted by the exit of close pal Greg Taylor who has joined Greek outfit PAOK. They would regularly hang out at each other's homes — with the Hoops ace revealing he failed in his attempts to keep the left-back at Celts. McCowan said: "There's an empty space in the changing room — and an empty space in my living room! "We were always round each other's houses. "The two of us are the exact same, and it's sad as we both would have loved to play beside each other longer. 5 "But where Greg's career's taken him is a credit to himself, he's a really amazing person. "His family has been over with him as well, and I'm sure they will have a fantastic lifestyle there. "Greece will be a nice place to visit on holiday at some point, so I'm sure I will. "I tried to convince Greg to stay, of course I did. "But football is always moving and always changing. "He'll go on to that challenge with an open mind, and I'm sure he'll do great there." The Liverpool striker, 28, and his brother Andre, 25, died in a car crash on Thursday. United skipper Fernandes and Dalot were at the funeral in Portugal on Saturday. A source said: 'Bruno and Diogo are heartbroken and in shock after attending the funeral. 'United's players have rallied around them. They've been offered a week's extended leave and counselling or support. 'The pair played with Jota for ten years in the national side and won the Nations League together only a few weeks ago.' Following Jota's death, Fernandes wrote: 'May you and your brother find the peace you need.' Liverpool have also delayed the squad's return for pre-season in the wake of Jota's tragic death. 4 The Merseyside club delayed the first group of Arne Slot's players' proposed return to training, which was scheduled for Friday. They will instead now return on Monday. Slot's team are scheduled to play their first pre-season match on Sunday 13 July against Preston at Deepdale. Matches against AC Milan and Yokohoma FM will follow on 26 and 30 July during a tour of Japan.
