A feline's hilarious attempt to sabotage her owner's freshly baked cookies has gone viral, leaving internet users in hysterics.
Cat owner Megan Amanda, 28, was preparing for a family event earlier in July by whipping up some chocolate chip cookies and lemon bars for the guests. If that wasn't enough, she was also trying to watch reality show The Bachelor by going in and out of the kitchen when she could.
After taking the first batch of cookies out of the oven, Amanda, from Illinois, left them on the counter to cool. She told Newsweek that they were out for "probably three to five minutes" while she went into the other room to watch the rose ceremony on the television show.
But, when Amanda returned to the kitchen, her freshly baked delights didn't look so perfect after all. Indeed, her cat Luna appeared to have taken it upon herself to test one of the cookies by stepping on it, leaving a perfect paw print.

"When I came back in, I noticed the paw print cookie and was in absolute shock that she had somehow managed to step on only of them, and that she made such a cute perfect paw print in that cookie," Amanda said.
"She obviously didn't vacate the scene of the crime and try to implicate her two other cat siblings and managed to look insanely guilty in the video," she continued.
Although Amanda didn't see Luna sabotage the cookie, she wasn't entirely surprised by her antics. She jokes that the dog is "a notorious counter surfer," the owner is constantly having to remove her from the kitchen surfaces.
"She's definitely speedy as it had to have happened in the three to five minutes I was out of the room," Amanda continued.
The bemused cat owner couldn't resist sharing Luna's mischief on TikTok (@megs.amanda) with a video showing the paw print in one of the cookies. The clip has left internet users in stitches, going viral with over 3.8 million views and almost 600,000 likes on TikTok at the time of writing.
Alongside the clip, the caption jokes: "Any guesses on who's the culprit?"
Amanda said she thought it was a funny moment to capture, but she had no idea it would generate quite this much attention on social media. Of course, many people jumped to Luna's defense, while others suggested that Amanda should have kept the incriminating cookie in resin to cherish it.
Unfortunately, the owner tried to freeze the cookie and it crumbled, so it wound up in the trash ultimately. Amanda said that this is "one of [her] biggest regrets" because the resin idea would have been so funny.
Amanda continued: "I thought the idea was funny, but never in my wildest dreams did I expect this response. RIP my notifications. I have been posting on my TikTok for a few years now, and this is the first time something like this has happened to me. It's such a cool and surreal moment."
Internet users can't get enough of Luna's artwork, leading to more than 2,200 comments on the viral TikTok post so far.
One comment reads: "she wanted to make her mark."
Another TikTok user wrote: "Must've been the oven."
A third person posted: "let's call that quality control."
One comment read: "He knew you forgot to a dash of beans."

Great Dane Realizes Owner's Ex Isn't Coming Home—His Reaction Breaks Hearts

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A woman out walking the streets of Vancouver randomly bumped into her ex's dog, a pleasant surprise, until she began walking away. Evelyn Martin, who posts on TikTok as @evelynmmartin, used to date someone who owned a Great Dane named Roman. However, when the relationship ended, so did her bonding time with Roman, whom she told Newsweek was always the best dog. And the feeling was mutual, as her July 7 video showed. Roman immediately lit up when he saw her on the same block while being walked by the dog walker. Martin went over to say hello and give him some long-overdue pets. The quick exchange wasn't enough for Roman, though. Martin began walking away, but she hesitated after seeing how distraught Roman became at the thought of her not coming home with him. His wagging tail slowed down, sinking with sadness. He wouldn't budge as the dog walker tried to move him along. As she approached him, Roman began jumping up and down, still holding onto hope she'd return home with him. Funny enough, Martin knew this was how Roman would react. He's always been one with "big feelings," she said. He would give the same worried look to Martin when she would leave the house while dating his owner. Previous videos from her Instagram account, @evelyn_martin, show how strong the relationship between Martin and Roman had been. He would follow her home on walks, making sure she arrived safely. He never turned down cuddles. And while he received attention from strangers, he only ever perked up when Martin arrived. Viewer Reactions The TikTok clip had reached over 1.1 million views and 232,700 likes as of Tuesday, with people demanding that she prioritize the dog's needs, stop breaking his heart, and get back together with her ex. "If a dog tells you you're coming over, you're coming over," commented one viewer. "Sounds like a co-parenting situation is needed," another person said. But, because not all relationships are meant to last forever, a commenter pointed out: "At least there's one thing y'all can agree on: he seems like a really good boy." Morgan Wallen jokes about viral CEO affair controversy during recent performance

Morgan Wallen is getting in on the fun, poking fun at the viral moment from a recent Coldplay concert in which the alleged affair between a CEO and his head of human resources was revealed. During his concert on Friday night at the State Farm Arena in Glendale, Ariz., Wallen seemingly referenced the viral video when addressing the crowd ahead of his performance of his song, "I'm A Little Crazy." "Anybody in here with their side chick or whatever, I think you're safe here," he can be heard saying in a video posted to TikTok taken by a concertgoer. "I don't condone cheating, anymore." His comments come after a video of CEO of tech firm Astronomer, Andy Byron, appearing on the "Kiss Cam" at a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., with his arms allegedly wrapped around the company's HR chief, Kristin Cabot, went viral on social media. When the two appeared on the big screen during "The Jumbotron Song" where Coldplay frontman Chris Martin improvises songs about couples in the audience, the woman immediately covered her face and turned away from the camera, while the man ducked down and exited the frame, prompting Martin to joke "Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy." "Anybody in here with their side chick or whatever, I think you're safe here. I don't condone cheating, anymore." The company put out a statement after the incident Friday, writing on social media, "Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability," the company shared. "The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter, and we will have additional details to share very shortly." In another update on Friday, the company announced Byron had been placed on leave and an interim CEO had been appointed. The company later informed followers on Saturday that Byron resigned from the company. "Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted," the X post read in part. "The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO." Fox News confirmed Cabot and her ex-husband finalized their divorce in 2022, and New Hampshire property records show Kristin and Andrew Cabot purchased a home as a married couple in April 2024. No divorce records were found for Bryon, who appears to still be married. When speaking with The U.S. Sun, Grace Springer, the TikTok user who posted the video of the viral "Kiss Cam" moment, said the moment was a "hot topic" among those at the concert, but that "no one knew who they were" until she posted the video. "I had no idea who the couple was," she said. "Just thought I caught an interesting reaction to the kiss cam and decided to post it. A part of me feels bad for turning these people's lives upside down, but, play stupid games … win stupid prizes." Springer also added that she hopes "their partners can heal from this" and that "for them, my video was a blessing in disguise."

Kelly Clarkson compares dating in the spotlight to a 'dumpster fire'

Kelly Clarkson is keeping it real when it comes to dating. "Dating can be very difficult, which is why I don't," the 43-year-old musician said during a July 20 Studio Sessions show in Las Vegas. "I'm like, 'It's hard anyway.' Add a spotlight and it's like a…dumpster fire," Clarkson added, according to video posted by a fan on TikTok. Clarkson has been single since 2021, after a judge declared her legally single amid her ongoing divorce from Brandon Blackstock. Clarkson and Blackstock married in 2013, after being introduced through his father – Narvel Blackstock. Narvel owns the management company Blackstock worked for, which began representing Clarkson in 2007. "The Voice" judge filed for divorce in 2020 and the two settled in 2022. Clarkson received primary physical custody of the former couple's two children, but was ordered to pay Blackstock $45,000 a month in child support. Clarkson now resides in New York as a single mom. The talk show host previously pointed to her busy schedule as a single mom of two children; River Rose and Remington Alexander. "I will say, I'm not not looking and I'm not looking," Clarkson told the "Today" show on May 6. "I'm very busy. You get this as a mom," she explained to host Jenna Bush Hager. "I've got to focus right now. My kids' schedule, I feel like, is busier than mine. I'm running from my show to baseball practice. It's a lot." The "Miss Independent" singer has found support in her mother, who was also a single mom. "My mom will tell me, 'Look, I was a single mom. I didn't get to make everything. They're gonna be fine. You turned out fine,'" Clarkson said. "I am just trying to be there as much for them, and we're a cute little unit."
