When asked, 'What is the best piece of advice for single moms?' While multitasking, doing laundry and reflecting, Randi didn't hesitate to respond with honesty and warmth.
'Hey guys, I know a lot of you are single parents, and as a single mom, I had to juggle a lot. But my suggestion is being present is the biggest, number one, cost-free, it's zero to be present for your children.'
'And just being present, you don't have to be the loud, crazy mom that I used to be sometimes, screaming from the stands. You don't have to be some of the other moms might be decked out or something.' Her response was a powerful reminder that true support doesn't always require grand gestures or financial means.

'Just being there, being there, letting your kids know that you love them and you support them. And I just think that's a huge lesson that doesn't cost anything. 'As a sports parent, you want to be involved in everything. You want to cheer the loudest, give the best advice. And make sure your child has every opportunity.' But even with the best intentions, Randi admits that parenting can come with its humbling moments. 'There was a time when Patrick came to me and said something that made me completely rethink how I was supporting him.
