Aamir Khan's character will appear in the final 15 minutes of Coolie, featuring high-octane, mass-appeal action scenes alongside Rajinikanth.
Aamir Khan is riding high on the audience's positive response to his latest comedy-drama, Sitaare Zameen Par. Directed by R.S. Prasanna, the film has earned ₹82.40 crore in India within six days of its release, according to Sacnilk.com. Its global box office collection stands at ₹123 crore so far. Up next, Aamir will make a cameo appearance in Megastar Rajinikanth's highly anticipated film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and slated for release on August 14. Reports about Aamir's role in the film have begun surfacing online.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, Aamir Khan's character will appear in the final 15 minutes of Coolie, featuring high-octane, mass-appeal action scenes alongside Rajinikanth.
Sources close to the production told Pinkvilla, 'Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan will star in Coolie, which will include an intense action and confrontation sequence. Known for his perfectionism, the Bollywood actor had a 10-day shoot schedule for Coolie for a scene that went beyond a mere cameo. The two icons will be sharing the screen space in a high-energy face-off packed with dramatic conversation and gripping action."
Recently, during a conversation with Zoom, Aamir opened up about how he came on board for Coolie and said, 'I absolutely enjoyed doing it. I am a huge fan of Rajini sir. I adore and respect him. So, I didn't even hear the script. When Lokesh informed me that it was Rajini sir's film and that he wanted me to play a cameo, I replied, 'Done." I'm doing it. Whatever it is, I'm doing it."
Notably, the climax of Coolie has been shot in Rajasthan.
Lokesh Kanagaraj earlier confirmed that Coolie is a stand-alone project and will not be part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).
Coolie marks Rajinikanth's first collaboration with director Lokesh Kanagraj, known for making hits like Master and Vikram. The film will be released on August 14 and will face a big clash with Ayan Mukerji's highly anticipated War 2 featuring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani.
Coming back to Aamir, he will also be collaborating with director Rajkumar Hirani once again for an upcoming biopic film based on the life of Dadasaheb Phalke, the Father of Indian Cinema.

Kajol-starrer 'MAA' rakes in this much amount on Day 1

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 28 (ANI): Kajol's latest film 'Maa', a mythological horror, was opened to mixed reviews. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, 'MAA' collected Rs 4.93 crore on the first day 1 of its release. ' #Maa [#MaaTheFilm] fares better than expected... Pre-release expectations and trade projections had pegged its Day 1 total at a modest Rs 3.50 cr, but the actual figures have surpassed estimates. Despite a limited release across 1500 screens in #India, #Maa held its own against strong competition - the holdover title #SitaareZameenPar, as well as new releases #Kannappa and the #Hollywood biggie #F1TheMovie... Yet, #Maa managed to draw a respectable number of footfalls. The 'Buy 2 - Get 1' free ticket offer [valid only on Friday] also boosted turnout... That said, the real test begins now - all eyes are on the Saturday and Sunday business. #Maa [Week 1] Fri Rs 4.93 cr. #India biz | Official Nett BOC | #Boxoffice,' he shared. Directed by Vishal Furia, 'Maa' marks Kajol's return to the big screen after a three-year hiatus. Her last theatrical release was 'Salaam Venky'. I had never thought I would do a horror film, but here we are. I am extremely proud of this film. The script is quite good. I am a big mythological buff. I love our Indian mythology. We have so many stories. So, I think it was one of my favourite stories.' 'I am very grateful that I have done this film. I think we have made a very good film. F1 India Box Office: Brad Pitt starrer amazes with a 40 percent growth on Saturday; Nets Rs 12.50 crore in 2 days and set to emerge a HIT

Joseph Krasinski's F1 starring Brad Pitt, Kerry Condon and others, showed a stiff 40 percent growth on its second day at the box office after a superb first day of Rs 5.25 crore. With Rs 7.25 crore net on day 2, the total of F1 stands at Rs 12.50 crore and by the end of the weekend, it should be Rs 20 crore net. The Day Wise Net India Collections Of F1 Are As Under F1 Stands At Rs 12.50 Crore Net After 2 Days In India F1 got a start and the strong word around the film should help it trend well in India, despite competition. The fact that it retains IMAX screens in week 2 as well shall ensure remarkable numbers even when Jurassic World Rebirth hits theatres next week. Final collections in the range of the superhit Final Destination: Bloodlines can't be ruled out strictly by the kind of acceptance that it enjoys. That would also make F1 among the highest grossing original (not part of any IP) movies in the country. F1 Crushes Pre-Release Predictions Rather Comfortably The global numbers of F1 through Friday have come and they are around USD 64.50 million. A global weekend pushing to USD 150 million is what is expected now. The opening weekend projections prior to the release were around USD 100 million and they shall be crushed rather comfortably, now. The movie's high budget won't be easy to recover theatrically. But if F1 manages to cross USD 500 million globally by the end of its run, it will be seen as a good result if not great; especially given the pessimism in the trade because its release is right before giants like Jurassic World Rebirth and Superman. F1's Numbers Show That Brad Pitt Still Has The Ability To Pull Audiences To Theatres With F1, Brad Pitt has shown that he still has it in him as far as getting people to theatres is considered. The next movie the actor works on is a Netflix original. His next theatrical venture is waited for with bated breath. F1 plays in theatres now. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates on F1 and Brad Pitt.

Maa Day 2 Box Office: Kajol starrer shows healthy 30 percent growth to net Rs 6.25 crore on Saturday; Will it emerge a success?

Maa directed by Vishal Furia and starring Kajol, Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta and a bunch of other actors, grew by around 30 percent on day 2, to net Rs 6 - 6.50 crore net. The growth is healthy and while there was scope for better growth, this is pretty acceptable since the movie, in the first place, was not a non-starter. Also, the movie was slightly aided by discount offers on the first day, so the 30 percent growth on Saturday starts looking a lot better. Maa Nets Rs 6.25 Crore On Day 2; 2 Day Total Stands At Rs 11 Crore Clubbed with Rs 4.75 crore net on day 1, the two day total of Maa stands at Rs 11 crore. The Sunday number should be in the Rs 6.75 - 7 crore vicinity, for a Rs 17.75 - 18 crore net India weekend. These collections should be seen very positively since there are coming amidst stiff competition from F1 and Sitaare Zameen Par. Despite being the lowest grosser of the three this weekend, it is the best performer in mass circuits. The presence of Kajol, along with the lucrativeness of the supernatural genre and the connection to Shaitaan, seems to have served the film well. The Day Wise Net India Collections Of Maa In India Are As Under Maa Faces Stiff Competition At The Box Office Next Week After the weekend, it will be very crucial for Maa to hold strong. This is because the film based on Kali Maa faces two new rivals next week in the form of Metro... In Dino and Jurassic World Rebirth. The new rivals, along with the strong holdovers are surely going to try and squeeze it, and the only way to avoid it is to keep getting audiences. The support from the mass belts will be more crucial because the Kajol movie is more preferred than its competing releases this week, making it have the upper hand when it comes to showcasing next week.
