Man dies after falling at Oasis concert in Wembley Stadium
Officers at the stadium responded to an incident at 10:19pm alongside medics at the venue and the London Ambulance Service after reports that someone had been injured.
"A man - aged in his 40s - was found with injuries consistent with a fall. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene,' the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
The Met have called on people who witnessed the incident, or who knowingly or unknowingly took mobile phone footage of it to come forward.
The brothers were performing at Wembley Stadium as part of Oasis's ongoing reunion tour, which has seen hundreds of thousands in the UK witness Noel and Liam Gallagher's much-anticipated return.
Police said in their statement: 'At around 22:19hrs on Saturday, 2 August, officers on duty at Wembley Stadium for the Oasis concert responded alongside venue medics and the London Ambulance Service to reports that a person had been injured.
'A man - aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
'The stadium was busy, and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage.
'If you have any information that could help us to confirm what happened, please call 101, quoting 7985/02AUG.'

Landscape gardener Lee Claydon, 45, of Bournemouth, Dorset, died following the incident at the London event on Saturday, according to his family. Speaking at his Bournemouth home, Clive Claydon, 75, told the PA news agency: 'He was a lovely bloke, loved to be with his family – a hard-working family man, he loved his kid, looked after them really well.' He added: 'He had everything going for him. I am so devastated, I have been to the doctor for tablets and everything to get over it.' He said that Lee, who is a father of one and was set to go on holiday with his family soon to Turkey, had gone to the concert with his brother and his brother's children, might have had a 'couple of beers' but had not taken any drugs. Mr Claydon said: 'He doesn't take drugs, he may have had a couple of beers but who hadn't there, people have said horrible things but it was just an accident.' Mr Claydon said that he was concerned about the safety measures at Wembley but added his son's brother and family had not seen the accident happen. 'It must have been horrific,' he said. 'All I know is there was beer everywhere, it's slippery, he slipped apparently, we do not know the rest of it, there's questions about the barriers.' He added: 'Of all the thousands of people there, it had to be my son.' A spokesperson for Wembley Stadium said: 'Wembley Stadium operates to a very high health and safety standard, fully meeting legal requirements for the safety of spectators and staff, and is certified to and compliant with the ISO 45001 standard. 'We work very closely and collaboratively with all relevant event delivery stakeholders – including event owners, local authorities, the Sports Grounds Safety Authority and the police – to deliver events to high standards of safety, security and service for everyone attending or working in the venue.' The Health and Safety Executive has been informed. The Metropolitan Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident, or have mobile phone footage, to come forward. A fundraising page, which has been set up to help raise money for Mr Claydon's partner and son, has already reached over £2,000. 'Our family has been turned upside down and are struggling to deal with this devastation and unexpected loss,' Aaron Claydon wrote on the page. 'Lee was a loving family man who was a role model to his son. 'Lee would have done anything for any of us and he was taken from us far too soon, and we will miss him so very much. 'Lee loved all outdoor activities, one of his favourite hobbies was fishing. He also loved music and his guitar. He also really enjoyed going to watch and support the boys and his nephew at their football games.' The fall happened during a run of stadium shows for the band's sell-out Live '25 reunion tour – their first since splitting in 2009. Oasis said in a statement: 'We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show. 'Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.'

The musician, 52, was caught on camera by a sneaky fan as he headed inside, but catching the lens the star made it known he had been seen as he mimed a drug reference. Pointing inside the cubicle he then alluded to taking cocaine before he headed inside. However the star has left his wild antics behind and now priorities his well being with his 'health trip' seeing him cutting back on booze and stop drug taking. After years of drinking heavily on tour in the nineties, Liam prefers a glass of the soft drink. Liam has previously spoke about his love for apple cider vinegar and honey and how it helps his voice. He said: 'I drink a lot of funky drinks. I have this apple cider vinegar, the one that everyone bangs on about. 'So I have vinegar, some honey and then I have some turmeric, some cayenne pepper, a squirt of lemon, hot water, stir it round and drink it. 'It's really good for when you get a hoarse voice. I've got a thyroid problem – Hashimoto's disease – so I can get a really hoarse voice.' In 2023 Liam revealed that he needed the joints replacing in his hip due to arthritis as a result of a longstanding thyroid problem. He then underwent a major hip operation. Before that in 2017 he was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease, an autoimmune condition of the thyroid gland. In addition he also suffers with the skin condition psoriasis. Speaking about his hip issues in 2023 he said: 'My hips are f***ed, I've got arthritis, bad. 'I went to get it checked out and my bones are mashed up. The lady was going, 'Oh, you might need a hip operation, a replacement.'' He said at the time he didn't want the operation because of the 'stigma'. 'I think I'd rather just be in pain. Which is ridiculous, obviously. I know that. Just get them fixed. But it's the stigma, saying you've had your hips replaced. What's next?' Taking to social media he penned: 'Morning Rastas so I had my Hip operation last wk all went well and RESPEK to all the doctors n nurses who looked after me Big shout out to the A team for getting us home safe n sound' He told MoJo magazine: 'When the weather's cold, my hips are like snap, crackle and pop. I need warmth. 'I can't sleep at night for the pain. Tossing and turning. So I'm on herbal sleeping tablets and they've saved my life. One of them, seven hours out, no pain, nothing. 'My new thing is Deep Heat. Caked myself in it on the knees and hips, the calves, then into the steam room for as long as I can handle it.' Liam, a keen jogger, was told by doctors to run less to help manage the condition. In the interview he also spoke about his psoriasis, saying he once met a fan who thought he had cocaine in his hair - but it was actually bits of skin from his itchy scalp. He said: 'I've got psoriasis, so I had obviously been scratching it during the day and there were little white bits and s**t. They were taking it out of my hair and putting it on their gums and putting it up their f***ing nose!' Dad of 'lifelong fan' who fell to death at Oasis gig pays heartbreaking tribute
Lee Claydon, 45, died after falling from a balcony at one of Oasis's performances at Wembley Stadium - in an emotional tribute, his father described him as a 'lovely, lovely bloke' The father of an Oasis fan who plunged to death at their Wembley Stadium gig has paid a heartbreaking tribute to his "lovely, lovely" son. Lee Claydon, from Bournemouth in Dorset, was pronounced dead on Saturday after sustaining "injuries consistent with a fall". The 45-year-old is thought to have fallen from the upper tier balcony of the stadium during the concert. Lee leaves behind his son, dad, partner, brothers, sisters, nephews and niece. His father Clive Claydon, 75, has now revealed that his son was a "lifelong" fan of the band, and had been excited to see them live along with his brother Aaron, and his niece and nephew. It comes after a mum left a 16-month-old baby home alone to die when she went on holiday. Clive told The Sun: 'He was a lifelong Oasis fan and he was so looking forward to going. Out of all the thousands of people there why's it got to be my son?" He said Lee lived with his partner and son Harry in Bournemouth, and was "lovely, lovely bloke" who "no one could say a bad thing about ever." At the weekend, shocked gig-goers described witnessing the horror moment the dad fell from the balcony during the lively concert. Writing on social media, one parent said her teenage son "saw him falling" but couldn't see the landing, while another woman said she saw the man fall into their block, calling the incident "awful". Claire Collier posted: "It happened about [five] mins before the end of the gig, it was awful... thinking of his family and friends and everyone that witnessed it." Vincent Muylle, who was also at the gig, described the mood inside the venue as "euphoric" until the "very shocking" fall occurred. "He fell, right in front of us," he recounted. Petrina Whiley also spoke of the collective disbelief among those who were in the block the following day, saying: "I think we are all in a state of shock at what happened last night." A GoFundMe page has been set up in the hope that any donations, big or small, will go a long way towards helping his family throughout this awful period. A message on the page reads: "Lee was a loving family man who was a role model to his son Harry and was loved so much by all his family. Lee would have done anything for any of us and he was taken from us far too soon and we will miss him so very much "Lee loved all outdoor activities, one of his favourite hobbies was fishing.
