The Young and the Restless star Mishael Morgan has teased an exciting passion project on social media, and she is asking fans for their help to turn her dream into a reality.
Morgan announced that she has joined the creative team on a upcoming short film Chopsticks, which hopes to evolve into an anthology series. According to the projects Kickstarter, under the 'Why it matters' section, 'Chopsticks is unique in its exploration of cultural alienation. The film touches on racism, cultural adaptation, and intergenerational communication while encouraging viewers to reflect on their own discomforts and challenges when encountering different environments, people, and cultures. It underscores the idea that everyone, no matter their background, can feel like a stranger at some point in their lives. While the story is set against the backdrop of a dinner outing at a Vietnamese restaurant, the conflict is universal.'
The film is set to be directed by Erskine Forde known for most recently directing Suits LA, Boat Rocker Studio & AMC's Beacon 23. Written by Noah Spitzer, Executive Produced by Lisa Kimberley, Morgan will serve as a Producer on the project, along with Sahil Arya with Helene Valinsky serving as Line Producer. Onno Weeda will serve as Cinematographer, and Production Designed by Liz Bischof.

The all or nothing Kickstarter is looking to raise $14,577 by July 11, 2025 and as of this writing has raised $3,065.
