Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt join Dancing With the Stars season 34

Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt, stars of Hulu's hit reality series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, are set to compete on Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars this fall. The announcement was made during the show's reunion special on Monday night.
Affleck and Leavitt have been part of Mormon Wives since its September 2024 premiere. The series quickly became Hulu's most-watched unscripted program. When Season 2 launched on May 15, it surpassed the debut season's success, garnering five million views in just five days.
Leavitt, who was cast as the group's 'villain' in Season 1 for distancing herself from the #MomTok influencer circle, worked to reconcile with fellow cast members in Season 2 — with mostly positive results, aside from holdout Mikayla Matthews.
Affleck experienced a more turbulent second season. She and husband Zac Affleck faced marital challenges early on, but reconciled after learning they were expecting their third child. Affleck later exited filming due to prenatal depression. As of a June 27 Instagram post, she revealed she was in labor during a nail appointment, but has not confirmed the birth publicly.
Taylor Frankie Paul, another central figure on the show, recently told Variety that the group is ready to welcome Affleck back. 'She stepped away for her mental health and is taking it step by step,' Paul said. 'We're very welcoming to her.'
Affleck and Leavitt are the third and fourth celebrity contestants confirmed for the upcoming season, joining Robert Irwin and Alix Earle. Dancing With the Stars will return this fall on ABC and Disney+, with next-day streaming on Hulu. Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough will co-host, while judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough return to the panel.

Kelly Ripa jokes about taking ‘indecent photos' in front of David Muir's ABC portrait

During the July 1 episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, co-host Kelly Ripa made a humorous and slightly NSFW confession while celebrating fellow ABC anchor David Muir's recent Emmy win. Muir, who earned his third consecutive Emmy for World News Tonight, appeared on the show to discuss his career and the network's move to its new headquarters at 7 Hudson Square in New York City. Ripa and her husband and co-host, Mark Consuelos, shared laughs with Muir over his reputation as "Commander Handsome" and the larger-than-life images of anchors now decorating the ABC studio walls. Ripa revealed that she and Consuelos have 'unfettered access' to the building and joked that they often admire Muir's portraits. The conversation took a playful turn when Ripa confessed, 'I have some very indecent photos of me standing in front of your picture that I can't show on the air because they told me it was not suitable for broadcast.' Consuelos added to the moment by joking that 'HR was right next to her' when the photos were taken. Muir responded in kind, recalling other playful moments and teasing Ripa about prior photo offers. Despite the laughs, the hosts also praised Muir's accomplishments. Muir said he was proud to let his team accept the Emmy in his absence, acknowledging their hard work over the past 11 years amid increasingly serious news cycles.

The Bear renewed for season 5 at Hulu, premiere set for 2026

The Bear has officially been renewed for a fifth season at Hulu, with a premiere date slated for 2026. The announcement was confirmed by FX and Hulu, following the success of Season 4, which debuted in June 2025. The Emmy-winning series, created by Christopher Storer and produced by FX, has become a major hit for Hulu since its debut in 2022. FX chairman John Landgraf praised the team behind the show in a statement: 'The Bear continues to be a fan favorite worldwide. Their response to this season — as seen through incredibly high viewership — has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons.' The Bear stars Jeremy Allen White as Carmen 'Carmy' Berzatto, a fine-dining chef who returns to Chicago to run his late brother's sandwich shop, transforming it into a high-end restaurant. Ayo Edebiri co-stars as Sydney, with Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richie, Liza Colón-Zayas as Tina, and Lionel Bryce as Marcus. The ensemble cast also includes Abby Elliott, Matty Matheson, and guest stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis, Molly Gordon, Oliver Platt, and Jon Bernthal. The series has received widespread critical acclaim, earning a total of 21 Emmys across its first two seasons. Season 1 took home 10 Emmys, including Best Comedy Series and acting wins for White, Edebiri, and Moss-Bachrach. Season 2 followed with a record-breaking 11 Emmy wins, including a win for Colón-Zayas. Season 4's 10-episode drop continued to draw in strong viewership. With Season 5 now confirmed, fans can look forward to another chapter in the intense, character-driven culinary drama.

Katy Perry caught in scary mid-air mishap during Adelaide concert

Katy Perry's Australian fans got more than just a hit-filled concert on Sunday night, they witnessed a near accident. While performing at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre as part of her ongoing 'Lifetimes' Tour, the pop star faced a frightening moment when a massive stage prop began to malfunction mid-air. In fan-captured footage circulating on social media, Perry is seen inside a suspended metallic sphere meant to lift her high above the audience. As it ascended, the sphere suddenly tilted sideways, causing Perry to lose her footing. With quick reflexes, she grabbed the structure to steady herself, visibly startled but managing to stay calm. The incident drew comparisons to Beyoncé's recent onstage scare, when her flying vehicle prop malfunctioned in Houston just a day earlier. While both singers avoided injury, fans online expressed concern about the safety of elaborate tour set pieces. Perry, currently promoting her seventh studio album 143, launched the 'Lifetimes' Tour in Mexico City back in April. The tour has seen her perform across Latin America and Australia, with upcoming stops in the U.S. including headline shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles and Madison Square Garden in New York. The tour will wrap in Abu Dhabi on December 7. Speaking to Variety earlier this year, Perry described her vision for the tour as 'boundary-pushing' and deeply personal. 'I want to create something unforgettable,' she said. 'This tour is about reconnecting with my fans and giving them every ounce of love I have.' Despite the glitch, Perry continued the concert without interruption, proving once again why she's a seasoned live performer.
