Haarsh Limbachiyaa reveals with pay cuts they have been living off loans; Reem Shaikh adds, 'Actors are being hired on a monthly salary basis'
Haarsh Limbachiyaa also discussed how the market has deteriorated to the point where large-budget productions are no longer possible.
On the podcast, Reem stated, "Having a set in Filmcity is a privilege now." There are no outdoor schedules anymore, and no one is willing to set up before Naigaon, which takes four hours to get to and from. Haarsh went on to say, "There are very few huge shows like Laughter Chef being produced nowadays.
Budgets have been decreased. I'm watching such a large display after 3-4 years. Now it appears that TV is struggling. It is on a downward trend.
"
Haarsh also revealed that he and Bharti have been living off debt. "We have a similar problem. People assume that if I host a show on one channel and Bharti does a show on another, I will charge Rs 20 lakhs per day and Bharti will charge Rs 50 lakhs. That is not true. We are surviving on loans, and if we do not accept the work that comes our way, someone else will."
Bharti made a joke: "We are so much on loans that even when the milkman comes, we think an agent has come to take the loan back.
"
Haarsh went on to say, "Only the perception is big now. I've come across videos of the fees performers receive for these reality shows. It stated that Krushna receives Rs 35 lakhs. I contacted Krushna and asked him to give me some money since he earned so much. This has become a major issue, and resources have been drastically cut.
Production houses and cameramen are all struggling. Everyone, including directors, technicians, and producers, says the market is poor.
In situations like this, even artists reduce their fees. This is why we decided to create videos on YouTube. Previously, when we were looking for a lead for a show, their daily budget was Rs 5000."
Listening to this, Reem Shaikh explained that actors now receive monthly payments. She stated that budgets are only affected in the industry; everything else is becoming more expensive. Reem shared, "Now, a new trend on television is to be paid monthly rather than daily. Actors are recruited for Rs 50000 per month. Then they can have you work for 22 or 30 days, and you will be paid monthly. Actors who don't make a side income from social media suffer.

Apoorva Mukhija, aka Rebel Kid, says she never struggled in Mumbai, YouTube paid for 2 BHK apartment: ‘I earned my annual salary in a month from Instagram'
Another day, another round of playful banter! Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan is back with another episode of fun, this time featuring YouTuber and influencer Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as The Rebel Kid. Known for her fearless opinions and recent appearance on Amazon Prime Video's reality show The Traitors, Apoorva has been in the spotlight ever since her name came up during a controversy involving comedian Samay Raina and YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia. In her latest vlog, Farah welcomed Apoorva into her home. Farah's long-time house help and fan-favourite, Dilip, greeted Apoorva with a cheeky house tour. In typical Dilip style, he jokingly referred to Farah's place as a 'gareeb ka ghar,' which left Farah wide-eyed and laughing. The vlog started with an excited Dilip rebelling against his employer to create the hype for their newest guest. As the conversation flowed, Apoorva opened up about her journey from growing up in Kurukshetra, moving to Noida, and finally settling in Mumbai at 21. When Farah asked if she had struggled in Mumbai, Apoorva replied honestly, 'Not really. I always lived in a 2 BHK here.' Curious, Farah asked, 'So your dad helped you with rent?' Apoorva quickly responded, 'No, I did it all by myself.' Impressed, Farah gave her a high-five. Apoorva added, 'Aapko toh pata hi hai, YouTube se kitne paise aate hai (You already know how much YouTube pays.)' ALSO READ | India's highest paid child actor, who worked with Aishwarya Rai and Vikram, is the find in Ranveer Singh's latest film; started working before she was 2 She shared that even when she had a regular job, she made her yearly salary in just a month through Instagram. That success gave her the courage to quit and focus full-time on content creation. She also mentioned that both the Netflix film Nadaaniyan and reality web show The Traitors were shot before the controversy broke out. 'After that, no one's offered me work. You're the first one to invite me home,' she told Farah. Some time later, when they headed to the kitchen to cook Afghani eggs, a conversation made Apoorva confess, 'Mere paas driver nahi hai, gaadi nahi hai, ghar nahi hai. (I don't have a car, driver or even a house)' Apoorva was made to vacate the house after the Samay Raina controversy. Currently, she is living on rent in a different location. That's when Farah turned to Dilip, who earlier called her abode 'gareeb ka ghar' and said, 'See how rich we are! This is the first time we're saying that. Usually, we keep saying hum log kitne gareeb hai (We are so poor)!' Recently reports of Apoorva earning in crores surfaced online. One such post caught The Rebel Kid's attention who took to her Instagram Stories to clear the air. The post read: 'According to Business Today, Apoorva Mukhija makes Rs 2.5 lakh every single day, and with her savage online alter ego 'Kaleshi Aurat', she's built a Rs 41 crore empire, charging up to Rs 6 lakh for a reel and Rs 2 lakh for a 20-second story.' Reacting to the claims, Apoorva wrote: 'Galat hai bhai? (This is wrong?)' Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Apoorva spoke about the buzz around her income. She said, 'I am everywhere, but my net worth is not even close to ₹41 crore. I'm not even making one-tenth of that. These clothes are rented. I have to return them after this. My heels are dirty, nails are fake, and my watch — which is ₹20,000 –is the most expensive thing I'm wearing.' She added, 'If I ever make ₹10 crore, I'll retire. Someone take me there. Give me money!'

This female star beat Robert Downey Jr, Tom Hanks to become Hollywood's highest grossing lead actor, boasts of lifetime box office gross of $14.8 billion
Out of the five highest grossing lead actors in Hollywood history, four have been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. These include Samuel L Jackson, Robert Downey Jr, and Chris Pratt, who played Nick Fury, Iron Man aka Tony Stark, and Star Lord aka Peter Quill in the MCU. Now, the fourth actor has surpassed all of them to become the highest grossing lead actor of Hollywood with a lifetime box office gross of $14.8 billion (₹126,895 crores) so far. The actor in question is Scarlett Johansson, who plays Black Widow aka Natasha Romanoff in the MCU. As per the trade portal The Numbers, the lion's share of the $14.8 billion figure belongs to Scarlett's MCU movies — The Avengers (2012), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019) — which add up to $8.7 billion (Rs 746 crore). Other films that add to her lifetime gross include MCU's Iron Man 2 (2010), and the two-part Sing animated franchise (2016, 2021) by Universal Pictures, to which she lent her voice. But it's her latest release that's helped push her total past the previous record holder, Samuel L Jackson. Gareth Edwards' sci-fi action adventure film Jurassic World Rebirth has amassed $318 billion over its extended opening weekend globally. Jackson previously held the record at $14.6 billion, with his voice role in Pixar's two Incredibles films (2004, 2018) also included. Third in line is Robert Downey Jr at $14.2 billion, out of which yet again, the lion's share at $11.8 billion (Rs 1,180 crore) belonging to the nine MCU films he's appeared in, from Iron Man (2008) to Avengers: Endgame. Downey returns to the MCU as Doctor Doom in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday (2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (2027), which would help him challenge the newly established #1 lifetime box office gross of his MCU co-star Scarlett. She's assumed to be dead in the MCU, and has confirmed she won't return post her final appearance in the 2021 spin-off Black Widow. Scarlett has replaced MCU co-star Chris Pratt in the new Jurassic World instalment. The Universal Pictures release, directed by Gareth Edwards, opened on Wednesday and earned $147.3 million in its first five days in 4,308 North American theaters. An estimated $91.5 million of that comes from the traditional 'three day' weekend, which includes the Friday holiday, Saturday and projected Sunday ticket sales. According to the studio, $41.5 million of that came from China alone, where it played on 65,000 screens, 760 of which were IMAX. It's the country's biggest MPA (Motion Picture Association) opening of the year. Rebirth, also starring Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey, is the fourth movie in the Jurassic World series and the seventh since Steven Spielberg's original Michael Crichton adaptation stormed theatres in the summer of 1993.
