BRITAIN'S Got Talent gave us some of the most outrageous wannabes in the show's history last series – by taking the auditions out of London and up the road to Blackpool.
Now, I can reveal the raucous crowds who made the early episodes so much fun have convinced Simon Cowell and producers to host try-outs in yet another major UK city.

In fact, as well as heading back to Blackpool this autumn seeking contestants for BGT 2026, I can reveal that auditions will also be held in Birmingham as show bosses turn their backs on the capital completely.
A TV insider said: 'The audiences up north were absolutely wild, with some shouting at Simon and flicking him V-signs if he didn't make a decision they approved of. Then, hilariously, some of the people who had abused him would sidle up afterwards and ask for a selfie — and, of course, he duly obliged.
'Simon loved it, so when they were looking at what to do for the new series, they decided to try out another city further north that might provide some of the same dynamism.'
Birmingham was the birthplace of huge ITV shows, including cult kids' favourite Tiswas and classic soap Crossroads.
Britain's second city was the home of talent contest New Faces which helped launch the careers of stars including Joe Pasquale and Lenny Henry.
The BGT live semi-finals and final will likely remain in London.
Moving the auditions from the big smoke on a near permanent basis won't surprise other judges either.
Talking of their sensational trip north for the 2024 auditions,
Amanda Holden said this year: 'The audiences were super-warm and brilliantly up for it. The show felt really appreciated and wanted up there.
'I honestly think we won't go back to London for the auditions. I think we'll be going back to Blackpool all the time.'

NICK MOHAMMED has revealed his Celebrity Traitors co-star Stephen Fry promises to be as witty as ever in the upcoming show.
The Ted Lasso actor said Stephen used a Harry Potter term for non-magical people to refer to the non-celeb version of the hit show.
He said: 'Stephen referred to it as the Muggle version which really made me laugh.'
Nick added: 'I was allowed one phone conversation a day with the kids but you are isolated from the outside world – at one point we weren't even allowed to know the time.
'You'd be, 'What's the time?' They'd say, 'It's traitors' time'.'
Filming has wrapped on the series – which will air this autumn – but Nick has kept in touch with his co-stars.
He added: 'There's a WhatsApp group and we're all on it – it's phenomenal and every day there's about 50 notifications.'
Leo lined up
LEO WOODALL has cemented his place as TV's favourite leading man with another sexy role.
He will play the titular character in Vladimir, a Netflix eight-parter said to be 'full of sexy secrets and dark humour'.

STRICTLY Come Dancing siren Nadiya Bychkova has revealed she has her entire body insured – and does foot-strengthening exercises to help her cope with wearing her favourite high heels.
Nadiya told me: 'I do have things insured – everything I need for dancing.
'Dancing puts food on the table, so I need to make sure I am OK. I think it comes from when I was competing at the highest level. I do a lot of workouts for my feet. It's about building the muscles. You don't want to walk in heels and twist something or break something.
'As we get older, we need to look after ourselves even more. If you twist your ankle, then you're done.'

THE THIRD and final series of Squid Game landed on Friday but now its creator has hinted there could be more to come.
The dystopian hit saw gambling addict Gi-hun join in a deadly game against other vulnerable people, enticed by recruiters.
Writer Hwang Dong-Hyuk said: 'I had this faint ideation . . . not a sequel, but maybe a spin-off about the three-year gap between season 1 and season 2 when Gi-hun looks around for the recruiters.
'Maybe a portrayal of what the recruiters or Captain Park or officers or masked men were doing in that period, not inside the gaming arena, but their life outside of that.'
Sonia on the double
CONGRATULATIONS to Coronation Street actress Sonia Ibrahim, who has given birth to her second child.
Announcing the news online, Sonia, who plays Mel Maguire, wrote: 'My beautiful boy Carter Benjamin Machin, 7lbs of pure perfection. You are loved more than you will ever know.'
C4 to air axed doc
A CONTROVERSIAL documentary about medics allegedly coming under fire in Gaza will air on Channel 4 after the BBC axed it.
Gaza: Doctors Under Attack looks at allegations that Israeli forces targeted hospitals and health workers in the Middle East conflict.
The Beeb commissioned the film last year but shelved it, concerned it 'risked creating a perception of partiality'.
Louisa Compton, Channel 4's head of news, said: 'We are showing this programme because we believe that, following thorough fact-checking, we are presenting a duly impartial view.'
The one-off film will air on Wednesday at 10pm.

I suppose today one doesn't have to bother. AI and predictive texting will do it all for you. 'You still have to speak with correct pronunciation and clarity. Have given up on mumbled speech and heavy accents and hope I'll get the gist eventually. '"Ss" for the presenters and newsreaders who cannot pronounce fifth and sixth - even some of my favourites. Schofield left ITV's This Morning in May 2023 after admitting to having a relationship with a much younger male colleague. 'There was not a hint of apology or "Maybe I was a little bit out of order", Christ Almighty,' he said. Schofield revealed he believes he thinks the former Dancing On Ice host 'lost the plot' after finding fame. 'He was the most over-exposed man ever, maybe apart from [Terry] Wogan at his peak - but Terry was on all the time because he was very good, and funny and likeable, and bright as a button,' he said. 'Schofield, they always said, "Oh, but he's a safe pair of hands." Did anyone ever say, "Ooh, it's five to eight, got to get home quick because the safe pair of hands is on?"' Schofield publicly fell out with her former co-presenter Holly Willoughby last year and was later accused of 'blaming women' for his downfall. He then blamed her for not doing so, saying it then prompted him to stand down after 21 years on the ITV show. Phillip had asked her for a public show of support such as a statement or picture together in the hope it would halt claims they had fallen out. Following rumours that they had fallen out in May 2023, Phillip left Holly devastated when he made a public statement to discuss their friendship. He said: 'The last few weeks haven't been easy for either of us. As I have said before, Holly is my rock. 'We're the best of friends – as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone. 'Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I've been there for her.' Friends of Holly said at the time said she was 'blindsided' by his outburst. Phillip stood down from This Morning days later on May 20. He said in a statement: 'I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can't go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love. 'So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future.' While he stepped down from This Morning, he was due to present the Soap Awards a week later for ITV and bosses at the network had given him a new prime time show.

ITV announces huge change to how fans can watch Emmerdale and Coronation Street
From the beginning of next week, soap fans will be able to watch Emmerdale and Coronation Street via a whole new service - leaving many fans rejoicing at the news Soap fans were both excited and confused when ITV announced a major change to their weekly output. For decades, fans have tuned in to watch new episodes of Emmerdale and Coronation Street on the channel when they air on week day evenings. But as of Monday 30 June, fans will be able to watch new episodes from the beginning of the day as they will be available to view online hours before they transmit via traditional transmission avenues. Taking to social media on Sunday, social media channels connected to the soaps shared exciting news with fan. The update revealed that new episodes will be available to watch via YouTube for the first time. The official Coronation Street Instagram page announced: "Soap fans, rejoice! "Starting tomorrow, full episodes will be available on YouTube from 7am — the same day they air on TV!" The update included an image showing Emmerdale and Corrie characters posing beneath logos of their respective soaps. The update thus caused some confusion - as some fans thought that the cast of the soaps were being merged. One follower remarked: "I literally thought Debbie was joining Emmerdale for a moment there!" And others were excited to learn that they would be able to watch their favourite soaps via a new format - as many complained the ITV app is nigh on unusable. One hopeful soap fan commented: "Nice I hate itvx with their [user interface] and 27 ads a ep." And another commented: "This is awesome news! Yayyy!" In recent months, ITV has announced a number of changes regarding the way Corrie and Emmerdale will be broadcast. In February it was revealed the schedule would be changed from the beginning of next year. A statement from the broadcaster explained: "From January 2026, Coronation Street and Emmerdale will move to a new scheduling pattern on ITV1, introducing a soaps power hour from Monday-Friday, with 30 minute Emmerdale episodes at 8pm, and 30 minute Coronation Street episodes at 8.30pm. Episodes will continue to drop at 7am on ITVX, before transmission that evening." ITV's Managing Director of Media and Entertainment Kevin Lygo said at the time:'The new commissioning pattern is viewer-led. We already give more choice than ever to viewers on how they watch us through ITVX and we want to present their favourite soap to them, in the most digestible way. 'In a world where there is so much competition for viewers' time and attention, and viewing habits continue to change, we believe this is the right amount of episodes that fans can fit into their viewing schedule, to keep up to date with the shows. 'Research insights also show us that soap viewers are increasingly looking to the soaps for their pacey storytelling. Streaming-friendly, 30 minute episodes better provide the opportunity to meet viewer expectations for storyline pace, pay-off and resolution. 'Whilst viewing is growing on ITVX, we know a significant proportion of our soaps' audience still watch us via the schedule. This new pattern is in the DNA of the soap genre - nobody else does 30 minute drama this successfully. It creates a soap power hour that's consistent, and easy to find in the linear schedule, for the UK's biggest soaps. 'This new commissioning pattern will mean five hours of soaps a week, rather than the current six. We are conscious this will have an impact for the people who work on the soaps team. We will support our colleagues in ITV Studios as they work through these changes, and will do what we can to mitigate the impact on our people. 'These changes are motivated by doing what we believe is best for the continuing success of these important programmes in the long term. They also create headroom in the overall programme budget for investment in programming that can help ITV grow reach in a very very competitive market.'
