Be a Hero, Buy This Off-Road Mini

Motor 110-05-2025

It's pretty obvious that
Mini Coopers
are not made for off-roading. The pint-sized five-door is designed for puttering around town or zipping through the cones of your local autocross course, and not much else. Anything larger than a pebble would disrupt the suspension. But don't tell that to the person who built this.
Someone turned their 2003 Mini Cooper S into a legit off-roader—and it rules. It features a Journeys Off Road lift kit and 29-inch Maxtrek Mud Trac tires wrapped around 15-inch Circuit Performance wheels, giving it a pretty significant ride height boost. There's even a snorkel, rock sliders, auxiliary lighting, and as all good off-roaders do, a roof rack.

Based on a factory Cooper S, under the hood is a supercharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine making 168 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque, paired to a six-speed manual transmission. The engine has a healthy 140,000 miles to its name, and the seller notes that both the engine and transaxle have been rebuilt, the ignition system was fully overhauled, and it comes with a new stainless steel exhaust.
The best news? You can buy it. This off-road Mini is currently listed for sale on the auction site
Bring a Trailer
. It has no reserve, and the current asking price at the time of writing is a mere $3,750. With just two days left on the auction, it could be a cheap, fun option for flinging around the trail.

LOS ANGELES, June 30, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (NASDAQ: FFAI) ("Faraday Future", "FF" or the "Company"), a California-based global shared intelligent electric mobility ecosystem company, today announced that it held its first private preview and co-creation event for the much-anticipated first product and technologies from its Faraday X (FX) brand, and unveiled the much anticipated FX Super One, the world's first FF Super EAI F.A.C.E. (Front AI Communication Ecosystem) System, and the FF EAI Embodied Intelligence AI Agent 6x4 Architecture during the FX Super One Product Launch. The event, which was held in the Los Angeles area, was attended by over 100 guests, including FF's stockholders and investors; B2B sales partners and prospects; global supply chain partners; media; key opinion leaders (KOLs) and influencers; and Co-Creation officers. Numerous executives attended and spoke at the event including FX CEO, Xiao (Max) Ma, FF founder and Global Co-CEO YT Jia, Global Co-CEO Matthias Aydt and Global President of FF, Jerry Wang. The Super One launch event marked the official commencement of FX's product execution and launch season that will lead up to the first Super One vehicle coming off the line at FX's manufacturing facility in Hanford, California, with a target date of the end of 2025. This intimate preview offered attendees a first-hand look at the FX Super One's innovation, design philosophy, and market vision, while fostering meaningful Co-Creation among the minds shaping the product's next phase. Following this event, the Company will host another large-scale public-facing launch event on July 17 in Los Angeles, the Super One First Online Global Product Launch, open to audiences worldwide. FX will also kick off the B2C Paid Pre-Order Campaign at that time, inviting users to become early adopters and co-creators of this next-generation mobility experience. Highlights and Updates from Today's Event Included: The FX Super One unveiling. The Super One isn't just about upgrading ones experience with cars — it's going to redefine it entirely. It will come equipped with the groundbreaking FF Super EAI F.A.C.E. (Front AI Communication Ecosystem) System, and the FF EAI Embodied Intelligence AI Agent 6x4 Architecture. These technologies mark the start of a major tech leap and product revolution in the AIEV era. FX Super One will be available with two powertrains: battery electric and AIHER (AI Hybrid Extended Range). The Super EAI F.A.C.E. system, as a key tangible component of the FF EAI system, will replace the fixed "impersonal mask"— the static, lifeless look of traditional front grills. It not only brings each vehicle a unique expression — "a thousand faces for a thousand cars" — but more importantly, it brings the car AI agent the ability to perceive through five senses and express emotions, as well as the gateway to connect and communicate with the world. The FF EAI Embodied AI Agent 6x4 architecture is built on pure vision, end-to-end VLA and world model. This enables AIEVs to evolve — with soul, personality, intelligence, and emotions — ushering into a new era where EAI EVs become truly intelligent. From introducing the concept of the Companies Bridge Strategy in May 2024 to unveiling the FX Super One today — when FF was preparing for the final Bridge Closure — it only took 14 months. There are two main reasons for the Companies "FX Speed" being so fast. First, the unique Light 4, Swift 4, Focused 5, and Empowering 5 model of FF's Global Automotive Industry Bridge Strategy. Take technology empowerment as an example, FF could empower the mass-market FX vehicles with much of the core technology, software, and AI capabilities of the $300,000 FF 91. The FF AI 2.0 system, which was launched through OTA on the FF 91, will also be deployed in the potential FX lineup in the future. Second, the incredible support from the Companies' S Tier 1 Bridge Strategy suppliers that helped us get here. The total B2B deposits for the FX Super One have now reached 4,000 units, covering four key sectors: FF Par (partners), rental car companies, live commerce MCN agencies, and real estate brokerages. Stay tuned for our July 17 event where many more details, specifications and images of Super One will be officially released. The FX Super One, an affordable mass market EAI-MPV, is targeted to have the first vehicles off the line by the end of 2025. Offering a spacious, meticulously crafted interior with high-end materials and advanced technology, the FX Super One prioritizes passenger comfort with a host of features including spacious seating, ambient lighting, and premium entertainment systems, to name a few. 2026 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Lineup Gains New "Sport Trims" Mirroring Light Duty Offerings

If you're looking for more interesting pickup trucks, 2025 has been the year for you. Ford recently expanded the sporty Lobo package to the F-150 from the smaller Maverick, GMC's adding an AT4 off-road version of its all-electric Sierra, and now Ram—after bringing the Hemi V-8 back to its 1500 lineup—is expanding both the Warlock and Black Express trims to the 2500 Heavy Duty truck line. Ram refers to these trims as their 'Sport Truck' options, but maybe don't think too hard about how any Heavy Duty truck can be 'sporty.' The 2026 Ram 2500 lineup introduces the Black Express and Warlock sport trims, based on the affordable Tradesman model. Both feature powerful engines and distinct styling, with prices starting at $53,735 and $57,165, respectively. Available for order, deliveries begin in Q3 2025. This summary was generated by AI using content from this MotorTrend article Read Next What will be great news to these potential owners is that both of these 2026 Ram 2500 sport trims are based on the affordable Tradesman model and slot below the Rebel HD in the HD hierarchy. Both trims can come with either the 6.4-liter gas-fed Hemi V-8 with 405 hp and 429 lt-ft of torque or the Cummins 6.7-liter turbodiesel with 430 hp and 1,075 lb-ft of torque. Either engine will also come with the Torqueflite HD eight-speed automatic transmission. Both get Crew Cab bodies that will come in Diamond Black, Bright White, Granite Crystal, Silver Zynith, Forged Blue, Flame Red, Ceramic Grey, and Molten Red. They will both also come with power adjustable Convex tow mirrors, 20-inch wheels, cloth bench seats, and cloth carpet as standard. From here, the Black Express and Warlock deviate. The 2026 2500 Black Express is offered in rear- or four-wheel drive with a long or short bed, making it a bit more tailored to a working environment while still being a 'Sport Truck.' The body features a sport performance hood and body-color bumpers and grille surround. Along the rocker panels will be a set of black cab-length side steps while the 20-inch wheels will be finished in black. Inside drivers and passengers will see carpeted floor mats while the driver will have added assurance while parking with the standard front and rear parking sensors. In all, the Black Express will add a very reasonable $2,495 to the cost of the 2026 2500 Tradesman for a starting price of $53,735. The 2026 2500 Warlock is only available with four-wheel drive and the short bed, which wears 'Warlock' decals on its bedsides. The grille surround, flares, and bumpers are all finished in black, while the 20-inch diamond cut wheels are wrapped in 34-inch Goodyear Duratrac A/T tires and the transfer case gets a skid plate. Oddly, the Warlock doesn't get any sort of step bar or rock slider option for its rocker panels, though it is possible such pieces would be available through Mopar later on. It's also mechanically distinguished from both the standard Tradesman and the Black Express thanks to a standard limited slip rear differential, Bilstein dampers tuned for both pavement and off-roading, and hill descent control. Inside, the major difference comes in the form of all-weather floor mats for front and rear bench seat occupants. This also means that the price of the Warlock is higher than the Black Express, boosting the price of a Tradesman by $2,995 to a starting ask of $57,165. If either of these trims tickle your fancy, you can order these 2026 Ram 2500 Tradesman-based Black Express or Warlock right now and it should arrive at your dealer by the third quarter of this year, after being assembled at the Saltillo, Mexico plant.
