Though Aamir was not born in Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Perfectionist has his roots in the state. In an interview, Aamir revealed that his ancestral home is in this district of Uttar Pradesh. Also, his ancestors were farmers, and this is the real identity of his roots, which he still cherishes. Aamir Khan's Relationship with Uttar Pradesh
There is a small village called Akhtiyarpur near Shahabad in Hardoi, which Aamir Khan said is his ancestral village. The actor also revealed that his grandfather and great-grandfather used to live there and that they had mango orchards.
His childhood stories and family history are associated with this village, which is very close to his heart.

Box Office: Maa hits Rs 26.25 crore in 7 days, Kajol starrer IMPACTED by Jurassic World and Metro In Dino in Week 2

Maa, starring Kajol in the lead role, along with Ronit Roy, Kerin Sharma, Indranil Sengupta, and others, is performing decently at the box office. The movie, directed by Vishal Furia, wrapped its opening week on a reasonable note. However, it will have to show better trends on the second weekend. Maa collects Rs 26.25 crore in the opening week, needs better hold in the second weekend Released on June 27, alongside Brad Pitt's F1 (Formula One) and holdover release Sitaare Zameen Par, the supernatural drama took an encouraging start. After taking an opening of Rs 4.75 crore, it smashed Rs 6 crore on its second day and Rs 6.75 crore on its first Sunday, wrapping the first weekend at Rs 17.50 crore net in India. It further witnessed a significant drop and could add Rs 2.50 crore on its first Monday, followed by Rs 3 crore on Tuesday, that too, because of subsidized ticket prices. It saw another drop on Wednesday and Thursday, when the ticket fares went back to normalcy and added Rs 1.75 crore and Rs 1.50 crore to the tally, respectively. Maa ended its first week at an average figure of Rs 26.25 crore net at the box office. Though it is a reasonable figure for a Kajol starer, a better outcome was expected because of its genre and connection to the Shaitaan universe. Maa to face Dino and Jurassic World Rebirth in week 2 The Kajol starrer should aim for a better hold in its second weekend. However, it will have to face new releases, Dino and Jurassic World Rebirth this weekend, which are expected to severely dent its business. Bankrolled by Devgn Films, the supernatural drama is expected to close its entire theatrical run with a net collection of around Rs 37 crore at the Indian box office. The Day Wise India Net Collections Of Maa Are As Under Disclaimer: The box office figures are compiled from various sources and our research. The figures can be approximate, and Pinkvilla does not make any claims about the authenticity of the data. CL meets YG's Yang Hyun Suk! Is it a 2NE1 comeback? Fans are losing it!

The Secret Meeting That's Got Every K-pop Fan Talking So, here's the tea: CL, the legendary leader of 2NE1, just met up with Yang Hyun Suk, the big boss at YG Entertainment. That's like Virat Kohli having a hush-hush chat with his old IPL coach-everyone's gonna speculate, right? The K-pop world is buzzing with rumors about a possible 2NE1 comeback or some major team shake-up. But YG? They're playing it cool, saying, "It was just a personal meeting, nothing to confirm." Yeah, sure. We've heard that before! 2NE1: Together, Apart, and Back Again? For those who don't know, 2NE1 has been doing this "together but separate" thing for a while. They perform as a full group only for special gigs under YG, but since all the members have different agencies now, it's like trying to get all your college friends together for a Goa trip-scheduling is a nightmare! Last month, at a festival in Los Angeles, only three members showed up. Park Bom was missing, and fans were heartbroken. But wait, there's hope! On September 6th and 7th, the girls are set to perform as a full squad at the Waterbomb Bali 2025 festival. That's right, all four queens-CL, Park Bom, Dara, and Minzy-are reuniting for the first time in ages. Imagine the hype! And if you're wondering, flights from Delhi to Bali aren't even that expensive-just saying. Why This Hits Different for Us Let's be real: 2NE1 is to K-pop what Shah Rukh Khan is to Bollywood-absolute legends. Their songs have been the soundtrack to so many of our late-night study sessions and heartbreaks. Seeing them possibly come back together? It's like when your favorite childhood band randomly announces a reunion tour. Also, the way they're juggling solo careers and group activities? Total #SquadGoals. It's like every Indian friend group where everyone's got their own thing going on but still finds time for that one epic reunion. What's Next? Only Time (and YG) Will Tell So, what's really cooking between CL and Yang Hyun Suk? Is a full-blown 2NE1 comeback on the cards, or is this just another "friendly catch-up"? YG's being all mysterious, but fans are already planning their Bali trip and dusting off their old 2NE1 posters. Either way, this reunion is giving us all the feels. Because whether you're in Seoul or Surat, nothing beats the thrill of seeing your faves back together on stage. Honestly, watching 2NE1 navigate their careers and friendships feels super relatable. Just like us, they're balancing work, dreams, and those rare but precious squad meetups. Here's hoping this Bali reunion is just the start of something bigger. Fingers crossed, fam!

I tried reaching flood-affected areas in Seraj and other areas in Mandi, but advised by respected leader of opposition Shri @jairamthakurbjp ji to wait untill the connectivity and reach to the affected areas are restored. Red alert is issued by Mandi DC today as well. Awaiting authorities' approval on the same, will be there soonest possible. Thanks," the post read. Earlier on Friday, several houses were damaged and vehicles were washed away due to the cloudbursts and heavy rainfall in the state over the last 24 hours. A local whose house has been damaged following a cloudburst said, "Everything got washed away after a cloudburst. We are staying at our relatives' house." At least 37 people have died and Rs 400 crore worth of property was damaged as torrential rains disrupted life across Himachal Pradesh, according to the state Disaster Management Authority. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert for the state until July 7. According to the Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority and the Revenue Department, the state has suffered damages amounting to more than Rs 400 crore due to incessant monsoon rains. Search, rescue, and relief operations are underway, particularly in the worst-hit Mandi district, where several roads remain blocked and essential services are disrupted. "We have recorded over Rs 400 crore in losses so far, as entered in our system. But the actual damage is likely to be much higher," said DC Rana, Special Secretary of the State Disaster Management Authority and the Revenue Department, while speaking to the media on Wednesday. "Our primary focus at the moment is on search, rescue, and restoration. Detailed damage assessment will take time," he added. The worst-affected area remains Thunag subdivision of Mandi, where major restoration efforts are in progress.
