Paul Sauer Street's stink is getting attention – the road will be closed tomorrow
Paul Sauer Street will not be accessible tomorrow.
Keep this in mind when you travel tomorrow and plan alternative routes.
'The sewer problem in the street will be fixed tomorrow and that necessitates the closure of the road,' said the VF Plus Councillor Sharon Schlachter.
She said the sewer has posed a problem since 2023 and caused the flow of raw sewer to Doornpoortspruit.
The road will be closed between 09:00 and 14:00.

Hooked on fishing: Game fish still on the bite

Hooked on fishing: Game fish still on the bite Rock and surf angling has not been great over the past week or so, with anglers having to hunt around somewhat for good spots. There were some shad caught at Station Bay and at The Block in Port Shepstone. A few were caught off the pier at Margate. Game fishing was good, with garrick, salmon and grunter on the bite. The sardines are still around and after the recent cold front, it looks like there may be more on the way. Local angler, Steven Moodley, was hopeful that with more sardines potentially on the way, that fishing should be good from Thursday. Remember, responsible fishing is keeping the shoreline as clean as possible and abiding by the bag limits. Send news or photos to [email protected]. Weather warning: Cold and disruptive rain forecast for Saturday

Weather warning: Cold and disruptive rain forecast for Saturday Chilly wet weather conditions have been forecast for parts of KZN tomorrow (Saturday). A cold front has settled over parts of the province, with temperatures expected to drop to as low as 15 degrees Celsius in eShowe, Mtunzini, Ulundi, Jozini and Melmoth. Richards Bay and Empangeni are expected to reach 19 degrees Celsius on Saturday. The SA Weather Service (SAWS) on Friday issued a yellow level 2 warning for disruptive rains in uMlalazi, Mandeni and KwaDukuza, among other areas in the province. Disruptive rainfall could lead to localised flooding of low-lying areas and bridges. Motorists are also warned to exercise caution as the bad weather could cause poor visibility on the roads. 'Isolated showers and rain are expected, but scattered along the south coast of KZN. 'Around 30 to 50mm of rainfall is expected along the south coast of KZN, leading to localised flooding due to the persistence of rainfall over those areas,' the SAWS stated. Don't have the ZO app?
