Ezra Frech talks 2028 Paralympic promise, ‘Adaptive' doc series on TODAY

For Ezra Frech, gold medals on back-to-back days at the Paris Paralympics were extraordinary, but not completely satisfying. So Frech is sticking to the promise he made years ago — to win three track and field events at the 2028 Los Angeles Games. 'To win a gold in the three most explosive events — high jump, long jump, 100m — and do it in my hometown,' he said on the TODAY Show set on Tuesday. 'That would top these (two Paris Olympic gold medals).' Frech, 20, won the T63 100m and high jump in Paris last summer. He also placed fifth in the long jump after finishing fourth in that event at the previous two world championships. He actually missed his first few weeks of freshman classes at USC to compete at the Games. After winning the 100m, a professor sent him a congratulatory email that also reminded him to complete classwork by the next day. 'I'm sitting there, greatest moment of my life, gold medal on my neck, thinking there's no way I'm doing this discussion (work) before tomorrow,' he said. Next on the track for Frech could be the Para National Championships from July 31-Aug. 2 in Eugene, Oregon, held in conjunction with the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships for the first time. Frech is qualified to contest the 100m, high jump and long jump should he choose to compete. The World Championships are Sept. 26-Oct. 5 in New Delhi, India. In the meantime, Frech stars in 'Adaptive,' which debuts July 28 on Peacock. The three-episode series follows four U.S. Paralympians' experiences at the Paris Games: Frech, Jamal Hill (Para swimming), Courtney Ryan (Wheelchair basketball) and Josie Aslakson (Wheelchair basketball). 'Adaptive is literally everything that a sports doc should be,' Frech said. 'It's raw, authentic. It's emotional. It's gritty. There's lots of lows and failure and laughter, and then in my case, ultimately, the highest of the highs.' Paralympic venue plan outlined for 2028 Los Angeles Games All 2028 Paralympic venues are expected to be within a 35-mile radius surrounding Los Angeles.

How to watch every stage of the 2025 Tour de France Femmes

All nine stages of the 2025 Tour de France Femmes air live on Peacock. The fourth edition of the Tour runs from July 26-Aug. 3, starting in Vannes in Brittany and ending in Les Porte des Soleil in the Alps. Peacock coverage starts at 9:35 a.m. ET on most days. CNBC joins for live coverage of the last two stages to determine the winner. The Tour increases from eight stages in 2024 to nine for the first time this year. The 723-mile race ends with two mountain stages, including a summit finish on the penultimate day at the Col de la Madeleine, an 11.5-mile climb with an average gradient of 8.1%. Poland's Katarzyna Niewiadoma Phinney won the 2024 Tour (by four seconds over Dutchwoman Demi Vollering) after Dutch riders Annemiek van Vleuten and Vollering won the first two editions. Niewiadoma Phinney defends her title against a field including American Kristen Faulkner, who won Paris Olympic gold in the road race and on the track with the team pursuit. Faulkner, who rides for EF Education–Oatly, was the lone American to finish last year's Tour, placing 38th. Another American, two-time world time trial champion Chloé Dygert, makes her Tour debut. She is teammates with Niewiadoma Phinney on CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto. France's Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, the 2024 Olympic mountain bike gold medalist, is slated to make her Tour debut. Also expected are the winners of the first two Grand Tours of 2025: Vollering (repeat Spanish Vuelta champion in May) and Italian Elisa Longo Borghini (repeat Giro d'Italia winner earlier in July). Olympic and world road race champion Anna van der Breggen of the Netherlands is also expected to race after ending a three-year retirement to compete this season. 2025 Tour de France Femmes Broadcast Schedule
