King welcomes Volodymyr Zelensky to lunch at Windsor Castle
Mr Zelensky has travelled to the UK to meet Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and discuss his country's defences and new ways to increase pressure on Russia ahead of a Nato summit that starts on Tuesday.
The Ukrainian president was dressed in a black blazer and black trousers, rather than his usual combat fatigues, for his trip to the castle.
Charles and Mr Zelensky were pictured chatting as they made their way through the historic residence, and smiling as they shook hands in the Grand Corridor.
The King and the Ukrainian leader have met numerous times before including in March when Charles invited him an audience at Sandringham in Norfolk, and last July at the European Political Community summit at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.
Mr Zelensky's arrival in the UK follows reports that Russia fired 352 drones and 16 missiles at Ukraine overnight, killing at least 10 civilians including seven in Kyiv.
Mr Zelensky said preliminary reports indicated Russia had used North Korean missiles to attack Kyiv and described those two countries, and Iran, as a 'coalition of murderers'.
His visit to London comes the day before Nato leaders are set to meet in The Hague for a two-day summit, with increased defence spending top of the agenda.
Mr Zelensky has been invited to the summit but will not take part in its main discussions, and it is still unclear whether he will attend at all.

Volodymyr Zelensky demands Vladimir Putin meet with him after latest onslaught
Russia unleashes fresh drones and missiles onslaught on Ukraine's civilians in defiance of US demands for an end to the war, even as there is talk of a fresh summit to try and end the conflict President Volodymyr Zelensky has renewed his call to meet deadly foe Russian President Vladimir Putin hours after his cities were again bombed overnight. Hopes for an end to the war are low as both bitter sides prepared for a third round of peace talks and Russia again pounded Ukraine overnight with drones and missiles. A child died in the onslaught which also caused multiple injuries and the Ukrainian President demanded a meeting with Putin which so far has been spurned by the Kremlin. At least 24 people were hurt in the blasts across Ukraine despite US President Donald Trump 's demands for a move towards peace as Putin presses on with his invasion. The previous two rounds of talks were held in Istanbul, and Russian media reports said the Turkish city likely would also host the meeting this time. Previous talks in May and June led to a series of exchanges of prisoners of war and the bodies of fallen soldiers but produced no other agreements. Russia is driving hard to break through at eastern and northeastern points on the 620-mile front line, unleashing upwards of 700 drones a night at Ukrainian cities. Mr Zelensky said: 'Ukraine never wanted this war and it is Russia that must end the war that itself started. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that 'a lot of work needs to be done before having a detailed discussion on a possibility of high-level meetings.' The Russian official's statement dampened hopes of a summit happening imminently. From dusk on Monday evening, Russia struck the Ukrainian regions of Sumy in the northeast, Odesa in the south and eastern Kramatorsk. In Kramatorsk, a glide bomb hit an apartment building, starting a fire, according to the head of the city's military administration, Oleksandr Honcharenko. A boy born in 2015 was killed, local officials said, without giving his exact age. Five other people were reported wounded. The Sumy region came under multiple waves of attacks, the regional military administration reported. A drone hit a gas station in the town of Putyvl, wounding four people, including a 5-year-old boy, it said. A second drone strike hit the same location less than two hours later, wounding seven more. After dark, two powerful Russian glide bombs were dropped on Sumy city, wounding 13 people, including a 6-year-old boy. According to regional authorities, five apartment buildings, two private homes and a shopping mall were damaged in the attack. Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar said the blasts shattered windows and destroyed balconies in residential buildings. And on Tuesday, Russia's Defence Ministry said air defences downed 35 Ukrainian long-range drones over several regions overnight, including three over the Moscow region. President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed a Ukrainian delegation to lead negotiations with Russia, even though Moscow confirmed a date has not been settled upon, and signalled upcoming prisoner exchanges based on previous talks. It will be led by National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov and include representatives from Ukraine's military intelligence, the Foreign Ministry, and the Presidential Office. "I held a meeting on the outcomes Ukraine needs from the negotiation efforts," Zelensky said. "Our position is fully transparent. Ukraine never wanted this war, and it is Russia that must end the war that it started." Umerov reported on the implementation of agreements from the second round of talks held with Russia in Istanbul and confirmed that preparations are underway for a third meeting. Zelensky emphasised Ukraine's readiness to work "as productively as possible" in pursuit of concrete outcomes.

'Porta Potty party' model heard 4 chilling words before being 'thrown off roof'
Maria Kovalchuk, 20, claimed the skin on her scalp was practically torn off during the attack by several men, who she said had "hinted" they wanted to have sex with her A Ukrainian model left for dead following a "Porta Potty party" in Dubai has revealed her attackers said "you belong to us" during the near-death ordeal. Maria Kovalchuk, 20, flew to Dubai earlier this year in a bid to advance her modelling career before she claimed to have met with the rich kids of Russian and Ukrainian businessmen in March. Just hours later, she would be found by the roadside with horrific injuries, including a broken spine and limbs after she was found to have "fallen from a height." After reports of the horrific injuries Maria sustained, there were fears she was kidnapped into "sexual slavery" and that she was taken to a notorious Porta Potty party. The parties are rumoured to involve wealthy men who reportedly pay large sums of money to abuse and degrade attractive young women, including those with social media profiles. Speaking in Norway, where her mother lives, the model claimed she met a 19-year-old man who lives with his dad in Dubai at a karaoke event a the Five Jumeirah Village hoel. She told Russian outlet Ostorozhno, Novosti: "[He] offered for her to stay in his room and claimed that his father could fly her to Thailand on a private jet." Maria admitted she would go with the man and his friends, hoping it could lead to a free flight to Thailand. "They started teasing me, why I wasn't drinking," she told prominent Russian journalist Ksenia Sobchak at Shockingly, the group then uttered the four words stating Maria belonged to them: "Then some aggressive pushes like pushing in the shoulders began. After that, they started making fun of me like 'you belong to us, we will do whatever we want.' "I tried to take it as a joke, because it was really weird. They started behaving inappropriately, smashing bottles on the floor. That is, the entire floor was strewn with broken glass, that is, it was impossible to walk there. "Then they started intimidating me, smashing glass. After that, they took my personal belongings, which included my passport. And one of the girls….put on my things and just left in them, although before that I asked her not to do this, [and] to leave my things. That is, no one heard me, and she just left the hotel in my dress." The men then "hinted" they wanted sex with her, with Maria adding: "I did not reciprocate, and this aggression was also heating them up." Maria tried to flee but she was "dragged back into the room." The report added: "When they stepped out onto the balcony, she escaped and hid at a nearby construction site." Then the men, who were "out of their minds" by this point, allegedly found her at the construction site and "beat her." "They practically tore the skin off her scalp, then threw her off a ledge onto the road," said the account. "I ran away. Then, already on the street, when I was, I didn't see them anymore, but I knew they were coming," said Maria. "I ran to the nearest building, just scared, and ran in, hid there. It was just an unfinished building, open." Maria's mother, Anna, said her daughter's medical treatment was paid for by the Dubai authorities. She continued: "I don't know how much they paid - the sum was colossal, millions." There now appears no charges will be brought against the men. The next day the case was closed, they were released. And the case was closed," said Maria's mother. "The [Dubai] police investigation indicated that Maria said that she was running away from sexual violence and then went to protect her honour, her dignity, decided to commit suicide," she said. The mother claimed the statement was "falsified", adding that Maria wasn't trying to take her own life and saying she was not intoxicated. Medical tests also showed she had no alcohol in her blood, said her mother.

Zelensky renews offer to meet Putin for face-to-face talks to end war
Russian forces, meanwhile, pounded four Ukrainian cities in night-time attacks that officials said killed a child. Mr Putin has spurned Mr Zelensky's previous offers of a face-to-face meeting to end Europe's biggest conflict since the Second World War. But the Ukrainian leader insists that lower-level delegations like the ones expected for talks in Istanbul on Wednesday do not have the political heft to stop the fighting. Each side's demands for ending Russia's full-scale invasion of its neighbour, launched on February 24 2022, remain far apart. 'Ukraine never wanted this war, and it is Russia that must end the war that it itself started,' Mr Zelensky said in a Telegram post. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday that 'a lot of work needs to be done before having a detailed discussion on a possibility of high-level meetings,' effectively scotching hopes of a summit any time soon. He didn't provide a date for the Istanbul talks. Ukrainian and Western officials have accused the Kremlin of stalling in talks in order for its bigger army to capture more Ukrainian land. Russia currently holds about 20% of Ukraine. Russia, meanwhile, is driving hard to break through at eastern and north-eastern points on the 620-mile front line. It is also firing upwards of 700 drones a night at Ukrainian cities. Russian forces struck four Ukrainian cities in three regions in overnight attacks, killing a child and wounding at least 41 other people, officials said.
