Scheana Shay Explains Why She Kept Her Husband Brock Davies' Affair a Secret
In an excerpt from her upcoming memoir My Good Side, the reality star revealed how she learned of Davies' "brief affair" while she was pregnant with the couple's daughter, Summer Moon
"There are some things that I haven't been as forthcoming about, or maybe that I never corrected the narrative on," she said ahead of the affair revelationScheana Shay is revealing why she held back from revealing her husband Brock Davies' affair.
Nearly a week before an excerpt from the Vanderpump Rules alum's upcoming memoir My Good Side was published, detaling how Davies confessed to being unfaithful to his wife, the reality star explained why she hadn't been forthcoming about some aspects of her life until writing the book.
When asked what the 'the biggest shock' from the new book will be during the July 4 episode of her Scheananigans podcast, Shay, 40, teased 'a couple moments that will really surprise people.'
'There's a lot about my past, my family, my earlier life experiences that I think the readers will be shocked by,' she added. 'I think people think they know everything about me, but after reading this book, you will, because you 100% do not right now. I can promise you that.'
She noted that fans know 'a side of me from reality TV, you know a side of me from my podcast, my YouTube, you put it all together, you've maybe got, I don't know, let's say 80% of me, but the book will give you the rest.'
'Never shared my side of the story because I've been afraid, or thought, if I tell people what I'm actually going through, then they're gonna think that I'm trying to take the attention off what someone else is going through, and make it about me,' she shared.
The television personality said 'that perception of me' caused her to hold back 'at times from opening up on the show or on the podcast, because everyone always says, 'Oh, you make everything about you.''
However, My Good Side offered Shay the opportunity to give her side of the story unfiltered. She said, 'In my book, I get to make it about me, and you'll hear the sides of my story that I have never shared until now in the book, in my own words, with my control of the narrative for once.'
'I remained in a state of paralyzed shock as he confessed that he'd cheated on me two years prior, when we were living in San Diego during the pandemic, while I was pregnant with Summer,' Shay shared in a excerpt published by Glamour on July 10, adding that she was left feeling 'completely sick to my stomach.'
She recalled Davies 'admitted that — at the time — he was scared about being a father again, specifically about whether he even deserved to be, and he chose to deal with it by sleeping with someone else.'
'I use the word 'chose' because it was very much a conscious decision. No one twisted his arm or dragged him into bed," she shared.
According to Shay, Davies had run into the woman, whom 'he had known since before we met,' while outside his gym, F45 Training East Hillcrest in San Diego, Calif. She added, 'After reconnecting, he said they began a brief affair.'
PEOPLE has reached out to a representative for Davies for comment.
Davies and Shay welcomed their daughter Summer Moon in April 2021 and married in Cancun in August 2022.
After the headline-making cheating scandal between Sandoval and Leviss, Shay revealed that she "obviously" asked Davies if he had crossed the line with the former pageant queen.
"I absolutely did question him because after all the Tom and Raquel stuff, which I didn't think was true, I obviously had to ask," she said on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in April 2023.
"He said, 'Absolutely not,' but, as a follow-up question [I asked], 'Did she ever try?' As much as I trust my husband, I don't trust [Leviss],' she added. 'He said no. He said he never put that energy off, and we know Sandoval did."

Popular streamer Duke Dennis arrested as fellow AMP member Kai Cenat looks on
Popular streamer Duke Dennis was arrested in San Antonio over the weekend after authorities accused him of trespassing in a local shopping mall. Dennis, 31, was arrested Saturday, Aug. 2, county jail records show, and charged with criminal trespassing and evading arrest. The popular content creator was released from custody late in the evening on Aug. 3 after meeting a cash bond of $1,000 per charge. USA TODAY has reached out to the San Antonio police department for additional information. Dennis, who has racked up millions of followers on YouTube and Twitch, is a member of the content group AMP, which also includes popular streamer Kai Cenat. AMP, short for Any Means Possible, is a collective of streamers, each with their own loyal fan base, who pool their audiences to create joint content, whether through online gaming streams or viral challenges. The other four members of the group are ImDavisss, Chrisnxtdoor, Fanum and Agent 00. Cenat, who catapulted to fame after joining the group, was present during the arrest, according to videos posted to social media. They show Dennis sitting on the floor of the mall handcuffed as Cenat, a floor above, captures video of the incident on his phone. Neither Cenat nor Dennis has shared an official statement regarding the arrest though the latter did post an Instagram story the evening of Sunday, Aug. 3, the same day as his release, with a black screen accompanied by the text: "Officially on vacation, need suggestions on where to go... See y'all later." His arrest comes on the heels of a major month of AMP. The group camped out in a Texas mega-mansion for the entirety of July, streaming for 12 hours each day for 31 days straight.

These Are the Summer 2025 Blush Trends Everyone's Wearing Right Now
Every item on this page was chosen by an ELLE editor. We may earn commission on some of the items you choose to buy. It seems that every few years, a particular aspect of a makeup routine takes center stage. In the '90s, it was lip liners and glosses. During the late 2010s, thick, precise eyebrows were the moment, all thanks to Tumblr and Kylie Jenner herself—an era we're all either grieving or actively trying to forget. Now, blush has made its way to the forefront of the makeup conversation. Perhaps one of the most versatile products in your makeup routine, blush comes in various colors and requires strategic placement to achieve a distinct finish. 'Blush placement can change your final makeup look completely,' says makeup artist and lead brand educator of Make Up For Ever Eddie Duyos. For instance, a rosy-pink blush is the signature look of pop princess Sabrina Carpenter. '[Blush] can create a sweet, flushed effect, or a powerful sculpted look. Simply adjusting where you apply your blush can be totally transformative.' In a 2020 YouTube video showcasing her five-minute makeup routine, model Naomi Campbell emphasized a high blush placement to accentuate her striking bone structure, resulting in a lifted finish. On the other hand, the trend known on TikTok as #dollmakeup requires placing blush directly on the apple of the cheeks to create a more youthful appearance. Not to mention the 'I'm Cold' blush, where a reddish blush is placed on the nose and high points of the cheek, mimicking the flush of red in our faces after facing the winter chill. Plus, who can forget last summer's sunset blush, complete with an orange and pink ombre palette and a golden highlight that created a sunny gradient along our cheeks. This summer, according to the latest runways, TikTok trends, and makeup artists, blush remains the must-have product in a routine. Of course, finding the right blush for you doesn't have to feel like a chore. Luckily, with all of the various colors and formulas available, the process can be a lot of fun. 'For a natural-looking blush, try matching the shade to the color of your inner lip. Remember, this is just a starting point—allow yourself to be expressive and playful,' says Duyos. 'Color is a form of expression, so your preferences in shades and textures should always come first.' Below, we poll experts on all the insider details about the latest blush trends and how to achieve the look. There are a lot of things we can thank the leading ladies of Pop music for: Ariana Grande's gripping lyrics, Victoria Monet's masterful production, and, of course, Sabrina Carpenter's spicy innuendos. Yet one thing that they all have in common is a recognizable makeup look, referred to as 'doll makeup.' 'It's super popular right now because people are experimenting with bolder shades,' Duyos explains. 'After years of bronzing and contouring, a bold blush offers a quick and fun pick-me-up that no other product does.' The star of the trend is a bubblegum blush shade that creates a sweet, fresh-faced look. 'You can achieve this doll-like effect by placing a pink blush like MAKE UP FOR EVER's Artist Blush in Daring Candy right on the apples of the cheeks.' Shopping for a new blush can sometimes feel like walking through an aisle of Valentine's Day decorations, wading through an endless stream of pink and red. However, believe it or not, opting for other shades, such as orange or even purple, can be a worthy change to your usual routine. 'I have always been a huge fan of bold, colored blushes in general because they bring so much joy & playfulness to makeup,' says Duyos. For deeper skin tones, an orange shade gives a sunkissed glow, while purple shades offer a berry tint that melds seamlessly with a warm bronzer. On fairer skin tones, using an orange shade at the center of the face and even on the tip of the nose can give you that effortless 'just came from the beach' look. The '80s are back, baby, and this blush trend proves it. A technique that Duyos describes as 'draping,' this particular look brings an editorial flair to any look. Start by placing your blush on the high points of your cheeks, and then blend upwards toward your temples and into your eyelids, similar to applying eyeshadow. Although the result appears as if you took hours to perfect, it is actually a quick way to elevate your makeup. The key to this trend is opting for a pigmented blush that is flexible and easy to blend to form a subtle, fanned-out look that instantly leaves you feeling and looking runway-ready.
