US, 'Israel' move to stop UN shutdown of Gaza Humanitarian Foundation: Hebrew media

The United States and 'Israel' are reportedly taking steps to prevent a United Nations-led initiative from shutting down the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), according to a report by 'Israeli' outlet Ynet on Sunday. Ynet reported that the push to dissolve the foundation emerged following a closed-door session of the UN Security Council on Friday, after which the UN allegedly instructed its agencies and partners to suspend all cooperation with GHF. According to the report, the move was triggered by allegations made by Russia's representative at the UN, who accused the foundation of being involved in smuggling drugs into Gaza. The controversy comes just days after Gaza's Government Media Office accused aid centers, allegedly backed by the US and 'Israel', of distributing flour bags laced with the opioid drug Oxycodone. In a statement issued Wednesday, the office said that narcotic pills had been discovered inside aid packages, with four separate testimonies from citizens confirming the findings. Officials in Gaza warned that some of the drugs may have been crushed or dissolved directly into the flour, describing the situation as a grave public health threat. 'This raises the scope of the crime and transforms it into a serious attack directly targeting public health,' the statement said. No official response has been issued by US or 'Israeli' authorities regarding the drug-related allegations.

'Israeli' drone strike kills four in Gaza, including child and two women

A medical official at Nasser Medical Complex announced Sunday evening that four people, including a child and two women, were killed after an 'Israeli' military drone targeted a tent sheltering displaced civilians west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. Medical sources reported that the strike also injured several others, some critically. The wounded were transported to Nasser Medical Complex for treatment. This attack is part of an ongoing series of 'Israeli' airstrikes across various areas of the Gaza Strip, which have resulted in a high number of casualties, despite repeated international warnings against targeting locations sheltering displaced civilians.
