The eldest son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit and stepson of the heir to the throne, Crown Prince Haakon, Marius Borg Høiby is facing charges of multiple counts of rape, sexual assault and bodily harm.
The charges come after a month-long investigation following Høiby's multiple arrests in 2024. Oslo Police Attorney Andreas Kruszewski confirmed that the number of victims is in the "double-digits."

"The number of victims was in the double digits during the investigation, but now reduced to seven. The rest of the allegations are dropped," Høiby's attorney, Petar Sekulic, told Fox News Digital. "Høiby is taking the accusations very seriously, but insists that the allegations are incorrect."
Several outlets also reported that the Royal House of Norway said that the case was proceeding through the legal system and it had nothing to offer, though the palace has not yet replied to Fox News Digital.Original article source: Norwegian royal charged with rape; police say victim count in double digits

Bills first-round pick Maxwell Hairston accused of sexual assault in lawsuit

Buffalo Bills first-round pick Maxwell Hairston has been accused of sexual assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress in a lawsuit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. The alleged incident occurred when Hairston was a 17-year-old freshman at the University of Kentucky. Advertisement The lawsuit alleges that on the night of March 24, 2021, and/or early morning hours of March 25, 2021, Hairston entered a woman's dorm room without invitation. The woman states she told Hairston multiple times that she was tired and not interested in having sexual intercourse, but he entered the room, removed the woman's pajama shorts and sexually assaulted her, according to the lawsuit. The woman filed a police report and went to the hospital to receive a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner exam after the incident, the suit said. The woman ultimately transferred out of the University of Kentucky, with the lawsuit saying 'the emotional and psychological harm she sustained made it impossible for her to continue her education in the same environment where the assault occurred.' In a news release, the woman's attorney, Lauren Edmunds from Meyers & Flowers and Bryant Law Center, said, 'This case is not just about one night — it's about sending a message that sexual assault will not be tolerated — on college campuses, in sports, or anywhere else.' This accusation against Hairston previously came to light in 2022, when a female student posted on social media screenshots of a complaint and police report alleging that Hairston raped her in her dorm room. The university's daily crime log showed that offenses of first-degree rape and first-degree burglary were investigated, but criminal charges weren't filed. The accuser also posted on social media that a Title IX hearing resulted in no action taken by the university. The Bills deferred to general manager Brandon Beane's comments addressing the accusation after Buffalo selected Hairston with the 30th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but declined further comment Wednesday. 'He's an impeccable kid, and we did a lot of research,' Beane said in April. 'I think all teams were aware of the Title IX thing. That was fully investigated by the school. There's everything out. He even volunteered to a polygraph and had notes… 'Just like anything in this world, you can't just take someone's account and think 'That's the truth.' We fully investigated that. If there was anything to it, he wouldn't have been invited to the (NFL Scouting) Combine.' Advertisement The lawsuit seeks a jury trial along with compensatory and punitive damages. Hairston suffered a minor hamstring injury during the Bills' minicamp in June. The team expects the rookie cornerback will be ready to return for training camp.

The mother of a four-year-old girl who was found floating in a Miami-Dade backyard pool last week is now accused of murdering her, authorities said. Neha Gupta Oklahoma County Detention Center On Wednesday, the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office announced that its Homicide Bureau detectives have arrested 36-year-old Dr. Neha Gupta, a pediatrician from Oklahoma City, in connection with her daughter's drowning on Friday. She is currently pending extradition to Miami-Dade County, where she will be facing a first-degree murder charge. MDSO is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the girl's death. Authorities have not said how the child ended up in the pool or revealed other details. A mother and daughter were staying at a short-term rental at the time of death MDSO said the preliminary investigation revealed that Gupta and her daughter had traveled from Oklahoma City and were staying at a short-term rental. According to investigators, Village of El Portal Police officers responded to reports of a drowning child in a residential pool near Northwest 90th Street and Northwest 1st Avenue early Friday morning. At the time, authorities said someone had called 911 around 3:40 a.m. to report a child in distress, and a dispatcher was heard in a radio transmission saying, "The patient is in the pool and drowning." Miami-Dade Fire Rescue also responded to the scene and took the girl to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she died. Through a police transmission, CBS News Miami found that a woman was inside the home and saw the child in the pool, but was unable to help. A dispatcher was heard saying, "The complainant is advising [that] the juvenile is in the pool and she can't swim to get to her." It is unconfirmed at this time whether this was Gupta or another person. Neighbors told CBS News Miami they were devastated by the news and questioned how the girl ended up outside so early in the morning.
