Gabbard Posts Deranged Infographic to ‘Prove' Obama Claims
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard took to social media on Wednesday with a series of bizarre infographics as she doubles down on explosive claims about the 2016 election. President Donald Trump and his team have turned to unsubstantiated conspiracies about Barack Obama when pressed with ongoing questions about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. On Wednesday, Gabbard announced that she had declassified the House Intelligence Committee staff report on the Intelligence Community Assessment of the 2016 election at Trump's direction. She then proceeded to post a new series of highly-produced graphics highlighting what the Trump administration claimed were Obama-era lies about the election. It's the latest in a series of information dumps Gabbard has made while arguing Obama officials manufactured claims that Russia worked to influence the election. However, as Gabbard continues to release documents, she has strategically conflated two separate Russian activities in her messaging. The documents determine Russia did not attack election infrastructure or hack the election, but the intelligence community did find that Russia tried to influence the ballot. While Gabbard claimed the report she released on Wednesday 'exposes how the Obama Administration manufactured the January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment that they knew was false' and accused officials of 'promoting the LIE that Vladimir Putin and the Russian government helped President Trump win the 2016 election,' the report itself directly states Russia worked to undermine the election. What was less conclusive in that specific report was Russia's preferred candidate. 'The key judgments found to be credible include: 1) President Putin ordered conventional and cyber influence operations, notably by leaking politically sensitive emails obtained from computer intrusions; 2) Putin's principal motivations in these operations were to undermine faith in the US democratic process and to weaken what the Russians considered to be an inevitable Clinton presidency,' the declassified report reads. The report was based on an investigation conducted by former Republican House Intel Chair Devin Nunes, who now serves as the CEO of Trump Media. While the House report agreed that Russia did interfere, the GOP report disputed the 2017 intelligence assessment that Putin had a 'clear preference' for Trump and 'aspired to help his chances' in 2016. It accuses the former CIA Director John Brennan of ordering the release of reports containing previously collected but unpublished intelligence, including info of questionable origins, which became the foundation for the intelligence assessment that Putin preferred Trump. As Gabbard claimed publicly in a Fox News interview that an intelligence report said Russia did not attempt to affect the outcome of the election, she conveniently left out details of the document she has cited. The document she points to as evidence Obama officials promoted lies, a Presidential Daily Briefing, specifically addressed one type of influence and stated Russia did not impact the election results 'by conducting malicious cyber activities against election infrastructure.' Gabbard, who has long been accused by critics of being a Putin apologist for repeating Russian propaganda to the point where she has been praised on Russian state TV before being tapped as Trump's intel chief, has argued the document she has released details 'a treasonous conspiracy' by members of the Obama White House. Secretary of State Marco Rubio previously refuted Gabbard's allegations. Rubio, as then-acting chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, led the investigation, which resulted in a bipartisan Russia report that found not only did Russia engage in an effort to influence the 2016 election, but that Putin ordered the hack and leak of information damaging to Hillary Clinton and helped the Trump campaign. While the Gabbard information drop and accusations are loaded with holes, MAGA Republicans are seizing on her assessment and are accusing Obama of treason. Her accusations have also been promoted by members of the Trump White House. On Tuesday, Trump pointed directly to her allegations and attacks on Obama officials in response to questions about Epstein in the Oval Office. Obama's office made a rare move on Tuesday and responded to the accusations coming directly from the White House. 'Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response,' Obama spokesperson Patrick Rodenbush said in a statement. 'But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one. These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.'

Trump Floats Prosecuting Oprah as Latest Epstein Distraction Tactic
President Donald Trump has offered up yet another sacrifice in his ongoing attempts to divert attention from renewed interest in the Jeffrey Epstein files: Oprah Winfrey. Trump doubled down on conspiracy theories surrounding his Democratic opponents in a Truth Social post on Saturday night. 'I'm looking at the large amount of money owed by the Democrats, after the Presidential Election,' the president announced, before going on to accuse the Kamala Harris campaign of 'paying, probably illegally,' millions of dollars for celebrity endorsements. Trump accused Harris of paying Beyoncé $11 million to appear at a Houston rally, adding, 'She never sang, not one note, and left the stage to a booing and angry audience!' He also accused the Harris campaign of spending $3 million on 'expenses' for Oprah Winfrey, and $600,000 to 'very low rated TV 'anchor,' Al Sharpton (a total lightweight!)' for doing 'absolutely NOTHING!' He continued, 'YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PAY FOR AN ENDORSEMENT. IT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL TO DO SO,' before asking, 'Can you imagine what would happen if politicians started paying for people to endorse them. All hell would break out!' Trump concluded, 'Kamala, and all of those that received Endorsement money, BROKE THE LAW. They should all be prosecuted!' Beyoncé appeared at Vice President Kamala Harris' rally stop in Houston, while Oprah appeared at the Harris campaign's final rally before the election. Harris was interviewed by Rev. Al Sharpton on MSNBC during her election campaign, with the news that the Harris campaign paid $500,000 to Sharpton's National Action Network raising eyebrows at the time. Trump's Truth Social post is his administration's latest attempt to draw public attention away from Epstein—both his administration's refusal to release his files, as well as the president's decades-long friendship with the convicted sex trafficker—following earlier attempts by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard to accuse the Obama administration of attempting to undermine Trump's 2016 election win. A former CIA officer who helped investigate potential Russian interference in the election has asserted that Gabbard and the White House are lying, and that the U.S. 'definitely had the intel to show with high probability that the specific goal of the Russians was to get Trump elected.' Trump has changed his opinion on Oprah over the years—once friendly, with Trump telling Larry King in 1999 that Oprah would 'always be [his] first choice' for VP if he were to run for president. 'She really is a great woman, though, she is a terrific woman. She is somebody that's very special,' he told King. 'That would be a pretty good ticket.' In a letter Oprah sent Trump in 2000, she wrote, 'Too bad we're not running for office. What A TEAM!' Two decades on and now in office, Trump has changed his tune, and is presumably upset at Oprah's endorsement of his political opponents. Taking time out of his schedule on Election Day to speak to reporters, Trump admonished Oprah for her speech at Harris' rally, saying, 'I think Oprah's become a major divider in our country and I think frankly she should be ashamed of herself.' Trump mentioned the 2000 letter in his complaints, telling reporters that she 'wanted to run with me as the vice president, and now she goes and makes statements like that.' He added, 'She's a divider. And Barack Hussein Obama is a divider, too.'

Jon Stewart: This Is the ‘Only Way' Donald Trump Escapes Jeffrey Epstein
Jon Stewart thinks he knows President Donald Trump's plan to escape any lasting repercussions to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Trump has faced weeks of backlash from his own supporters after failing to deliver his promises on the alleged Epstein client list, and is now facing intense scrutiny that he himself is named in the Epstein files. 'The only way that this guy wiggles out of this one is if, for some reason, convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell swears under oath that Trump had nothing to do with it,' Stewart said in his Monday monologue. 'But why would she do that?' Stewart asked. Stewart showed a clip of Trump at a press conference Monday, in which a reporter asked him if he had any intentions of pardoning Maxwell. Trump gave the ominous response, 'Well, I'm allowed to give her a pardon.' Trump's answer played into the fears that he may be making a hidden pardon deal with Maxwell to avoid further Epstein scrutiny. David Aronberg, a former aide to Attorney General Pam Bondi, speculated Thursday that the Trump administration could promise Maxwell a pardon 'if she comes out and says that the president was... not involved in any criminal activity.' This is the course of events Stewart implied might happen, as part of his theory that Trump is like the roadrunner and Democrats are like Wile E. Coyote. 'The Democrats thought they had Trump with the felony convictions. They thought they had Trump with the Access Hollywood tape, but every time, he got away,' Stewart noted. Stewart pointed out the other tactic Trump seems to be using to escape any Epstein repercussions: distraction. 'Until the pardon happens, there is other stuff Trump can do,' Stewart said. 'President Trump went on Truth Social last night and said that Beyoncé, Oprah, and Vice President Kamala Harris should all be prosecuted for receiving or giving endorsement money during the last election.' Stewart joked, 'That's right: Trump is now calling for the imprisonment of all the most popular people in the country, and Kamala Harris.'
