Lewis Hamilton opens up about 'complicated' love life

Yahoo2 days ago
Formula F1 driver, Lewis Hamilton, is opening up about his "complicated" love life. Hamilton is one of the few bachelors in F1, and over the years, he has been romantically linked to several women in music and entertainment but has not confirmed any of those romances. In an interview with French publication RTBF, the Ferrari driver has since shifted gears when it comes to romance.
'Yes, it's very complicated, especially in today's world," Hamilton explains. 'I see other drivers and I wonder how they manage it. Some have children, are married, have girlfriends.
The seven-time Formula One champion has been romantically linked to Nicole Scherzinger, Rihanna, Sofia Richie-Grainge, and more.
'I went through that when I was in my twenties. I've made a different choice: I've decided to maximise the time I have here because it's shorter than you think," he continued.'I don't want to have any regrets, or think that I could have given more.'
As of now, Hamilton wants to focus on making the most of his career, and he is doing just that. He made history in 2007 as the first and is currently the only Black driver in F1, and is working to promote diversity in the sport. He also holds the record for the most Grand Prix wins with 105. Hamilton shared with the publication that when he decides to retire, he will most likely have more time to focus on other aspects of his life.
'Over the last ten years, I've concentrated on my performance. And when I retire, I'll be able to do what I want," he said. 'I'll be able to devote myself to other things without constraints."
Hamilton continued: "As long as I'm competing, I'm concentrating on my health, my well-being, my mental health, and my driving technique."
'I want to be the best engineer I can be and the best teammate too," he concluded. "That's my main objective: I want to win.'
Who has Lewis Hamilton been romantically linked to?
Hamilton's longest public relationship was with singer and actress Nicole Scherzinger from 2007-2015. Since then, he's been romantically linked to Gigi Hadid, Rihanna, Kendall Jenner, and Rita Ora, but those relationships were never confirmed by either party. Between 2016 and 2017, Hamilton was seen on various occasions with supermodel Winnie Harlow, but they never confirmed their romance either. He's also been linked to Nicki Minaj, Sofia Richie-Grainge, and Shakira, but just like the others, a relationship was never confirmed by Hamilton or the ladies.
This year, romance rumors began to swirl between him and Grammy-nominated singer RAYE after the singer posted a photo of them embracing in an Instagram photo dump. It is solidified if they have a romance.
Lewis Hamilton wants to win the title with Ferrari
While Hamilton's love life is seemingly on pause until further notice, the race car driver is focusing on fulfilling his dream with Ferrari.
'My dream is to win a title with Ferrari. It's been a long time since that happened," Hamilton says, as the last time Ferrari won the Formula 1 World Championship was back in 2007 with Kimi Räikkönen.
'Ferrari has all the ingredients to win, you just have to put it all together," he added. "That's what I'm trying to do behind the scenes with Fred Vasseur and the team.'

Michael Jackson's dirty stage sock sells for nearly $9K at French auction

A dirty white sock once worn by the King of Pop has moonwalked its way back into the spotlight. The rhinestone-covered sock, worn by Michael Jackson during a 1997 show in the city of Nîmes, sold Wednesday for €7,688 — about $8,911 — at an auction house in southern France. The off-white stained sock, originally white and studded with crystal rhinestones, was discovered by a technician backstage after Jackson's HIStory World Tour performance. The sock was then preserved in a frame for 28 years, according to a French auctioneer. Iviore France 'It really is an exceptional object — even a cult one for Michael Jackson fans,' auctioneer Aurore Illy told AFP. The sock was worn during Jackson's tour, which hit 35 countries and included 82 shows. Footage from it shows him performing 'Billie Jean' in the sparkling footwear. Advertisement Auctioneers had estimated the item to be between €3,000 and €4,000, but it nearly doubled expectations. JP Saxe's North American tour cancelled over low ticket sales despite online appeal

TORONTO — A Toronto singer-songwriter who was set to tour North America this fall says he's cancelled his series of concerts over sluggish ticket sales and the high cost of life on the road. JP Saxe took to social media this week, saying that if he didn't sell about 20,000 tickets to his upcoming Make Yourself at Home tour within 48 hours, it would likely be cancelled. In a follow-up video, he says 2,000 more tickets were sold, but it wasn't enough to save the tour. Saxe says he's grateful for the extra sales, that tickets will be fully refunded and he's looking to make sure similar cancellations never happen again. The Grammy-nominated musician, best known for his 2019 single "If the World Was Ending" with Julia Michaels, was set to play more than 25 dates, including Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton and Vancouver. The cancellation comes as live music faces mass pressure, compounded by a shaky economy, years of inflation and concert ticket prices that — in many cases — have skyrocketed by hundreds of dollars this year. "Those 2,000 tickets were a reminder ... of how wonderful it can be to ask for help and watch a community come together, and this really was the nicest the internet has ever been to me," he said in a video posted to social media platform TikTok. "I'm grateful to each one of you who bought a ticket, and I'm really sorry." This report by The Canadian Press was first published Aug. 2, 2025. The Canadian Press Sign in to access your portfolio

Penguin Random House editor shared post mocking murdered exec Wesley LePatner

A top editor at Penguin Random House allegedly mocked the murder of Blackstone executive Wesley LePatner in a bizarre Instagram post which blamed her for the housing crisis and ending with 'rest in piss.' Thomas Gebremedhin, vice president and executive editor at Doubleday Books, shared the vile Instagram story highlighting an X post about Monday's mass shooting at 345 Park Ave., where LePatner, 46, was gunned down while trying to shield herself behind a marble pillar. 'Her sole job was making sure housing is expensive and that we all rent for the rest of our lives,' read the original post portraying LePatner — a Jewish mom of two — as the face of unaffordable housing. 4 Thomas Gebremedhin, a VP and executive editor at Penguin Random House, reposted an X post screenshot about LePatner's death, sparking backlash across social media. William – 'She made $9,000 a minute … Rest in piss.' Social media users were quick to point out that LePatner did not earn '$9,000 a minute,' and condemned the post, which was first made in response to Blackstone's official memorial tweet and flagged by Free Press reporter Maya Sulkin. 'It's not just people in the dark corners of the internet justifying LePatner's murder,' Sulkin wrote in a Friday X post. 'It's people like Thomas Gebremedhin.' 4 LePatner's 14-year-old daughter tearfully called her 'my rock' at Thursday's funeral service at Central Synagogue, held just blocks from where she was killed. Zuma/Billy Tompkins / The tone-deaf repost stunned many in the publishing world, where Gebremedhin moves in elite literary circles. His Instagram, @tgebremedhin, is private but screenshots of the story began circling online this week, triggering widespread condemnation. 'Book publishing industry is full of scum. Probably more woke than the worst universities,' one user commented under Sulkin's post. Another wrote: 'The Left be like: anyone with a lot of money deserves to be murdered, unless they're Hamas terrorist billionaires.' 4 Wesley LePatner, a mother of two and top Blackstone executive, was shot and killed Monday in the lobby of her Midtown office building during a mass shooting. Blackstone '[He] should be fired … absolutely deplorable,' a third chimed in. LePatner, who was global head of Core+ Real Estate and chief executive officer for Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust, was mourned by her firm and family as 'brilliant,' 'warm' and 'deeply respected.' She served on the board of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, mentored young women and was honored by UJA-Federation for her Jewish philanthropy. She was shot dead Monday by gunman Shane Tamura, who killed four before turning the gun on himself. LePatner had crouched behind a pillar in the lobby of 345 Park as bullets flew. 4 Shooter Shane Tamura opened fire inside 345 Park Ave., killing four — including LePatner — before fatally turning the gun on himself, police said. Obtained by NY Post Her teenage daughter called her 'my rock' during a tearful funeral Thursday at Central Synagogue in Midtown, where more than 500 mourners gathered just blocks from the site of her death. Neither Penguin Random House nor Gebremedhin immediately returned messages seeking comment.
