Forget Apple and Garmin — this hard-wearing, good-looking Casio G-Shock Move has crashed to $214 for Prime Day
Right now, Casio's G-Shock Move DW-H5600 is on sale for $214 at Amazon — saving you a handy 28% off this smart(ish), rugged watch.
The G-Shock Move looks like a classic 1980s Casio watch with a touch of modern flair. Sure, it tells the time, but it also monitors your heart rate and blood oxygen saturation levels; tracks basic workouts and physical activities; keeps tabs on sleep quality; and charges via the big ball of fire in the sky. Plus, 200 meters of water resistance is best-in-class.
Here's the thing about Casio G-Shock watches: they'll take whatever you can throw at them. No need to worry about dings and scratches and, even if you do knock them around a bit — it all adds to the charm.
I've worn a G-Shock GW7900B-1 for years at this point (the GW8900A-1 is a close cousin and is currently reduced by 7% at Amazon) and it's been a reliable accessory on a number of adventures.
But since it's 2025, we need brains as well as brawn. Which is why the G-Shock Move DW-H5600 is worth a look for anyone that's interested in tracking their fitness but doesn't want another device to charge every night.
The watch tracks your activity through a pulse oximeter and heart sensor and uses algorithms developed by fitness watch brand Polar. The resulting data is fed through to Casio's companion app on either iOS or Android. It's not a perfect system; there's no swimming option even though this watch is rated waterproof to 200M. Go figure.
You also won't find a touchscreen here — instead, you've got to operate the watch like the good old days: with buttons. Try showing that to anyone born after 2010 and see what happens.

Apple iPhone 17 Release Date: New Clue Revealed In Latest Leak
Last month, I assessed exactly when the next iPhone series, would go on sale. Now, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg has had his say. Happily, it's along the same lines, so perhaps we can begin to be confident when the iPhone will land. Apple iPhone 16: when will the iPhone 17 go on sale, exactly? In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Gurman seeks to answer the question: 'When will Apple hold its iPhone 17 launch event?' Although he went into much less detail than my report (and I admit it, brevity is the soul of wit), he lighted on similar dates. 'The company usually unveils its new iPhones the week after Labor Day. If that holds — and there's no reason to believe it won't — you can pencil in the keynote for the week of Sept. 8,' he began. This continues to make sense to me: the week before would be when the large-scale electronics trade show IFA takes place in Berlin and it's already thought that there will be some big announcements there. Apple won't want to share the spotlight with the myriad other brands popping up in Berlin. 'In the past, Apple has typically favored Tuesdays, but there have been some exceptions in recent years,' Gurman goes on. He's referring to the fact that last year's event, against most people's expectations, including his, was held on a Monday. I'm quietly delighted that I did report the right date in advance. Forgive me a moment of glee, please. 'So it could be that Monday (the 8th), though I suspect the 9th or 10th is probably more likely. Apple never holds events on Fridays, so you can rule out the 12th, and it has avoided launching new products on Sept. 11,' Gurman concludes. This is the new information here. I had only briefly considered the Monday, but Gurman is giving it more credence. However, we both think that Tuesday 9 or Wednesday 10 are more likely. As I said before, my money is on the keynote happening on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. Pacific in the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino. Gurman only talks about the keynote, but when will the onsale date be? I still think the iPhone 17 series will go on sale on Friday, Sept.19.

How to master all of iPadOS 26's upgraded multitasking features

Now that multitasking is more powerful than ever, there are plenty of features and capabilities that iPad users will need to be aware of once iPadOS 26 officially launches later this year. In this article, we'll do our best to teach you about all of the different multitasking features and gestures in iPadOS 26 and how to make the most of them. Here are the 3 new modes you'll find in the update: Full Screen Apps: Always use apps in full screen and swipe Home to switch between them. Windowed Apps: Resize and arrange multiple windows in a single space to multitask with ease. Stage Manager: Arrange windows across multiple groups for a focused multitasking experience. Of course, Full Screen Apps will look familiar. The Stage Manager capability is already available on M1 or newer iPads, and the new Windowed Apps experience comes to all supported iPadOS 26 devices, which is a major change for base-model and iPad mini users. You can find these options in the Settings app under Multitasking & Gestures. If you like to focus on one task at a time, the full-screen apps might be the perfect solution for you. However, if you're always multitasking and like to switch between apps at will, the Windowed Apps system is the way you should be using your iPad. After all, with this feature on, even if you have an app exporting a video or doing another task, iPadOS 26 will still handle it in the background while you're doing something else, such as messaging on WhatsApp, for example. It's also very handy to use with Apple's Magic Keyboard, as you can easily adjust the apps in whatever way works best for you. For Stage Manager, the experience is great if you're performing tasks that require multiple apps to be open at the same time. For example, if you typically have your Mail app open alongside Slack, or if you have Safari running at the same time as ChatGPT, Stage Manager will improve the experience. For the first time, I'd recommend you to give Windowed Apps a try, especially because this is what Apple has been carefully working on in the past year. In Settings > Multitasking & Gestures, select Windowed Apps. Here's everything you can do with them, as well as how I use the new multitasking feature: Close All Windows After Swiping Home: I left this toggle off, because otherwise you'll lose the ability to add a new app when swiping Home. To start a new session of windowed apps, go home and slide three fingers up on the trackpad. Automatically Show and Hide Dock: While I'd prefer the ability to keep the Dock active at all times, I keep this feature on, rather than having the Dock off. Four & Five Finger Gestures: Apple lets you switch apps by swiping left and right with four or five fingers, go home by pinching with four or five fingers, and open the App Switcher by pinching and pausing. I like these gestures, so I leave them on. Shake to Undo: Just shake your iPad to undo your previous action. Sure, why not? Swipe Finger from Corner: This feature isn't available in for windowed apps. Start PiP Automatically: When you swipe up to go Home or use other apps, videos and FaceTime calls continue in Picture-in-Picture mode. I find this very useful, and I left it on. Mac-like menus: Every time you open an app, you can see a Mac-like menu at the top of the display, which makes it easier to access common settings and actions such as 'Files,' 'Edit,' 'View,' 'Window,' and 'Help.' If you choose Full Screen Apps or Stage Manager, these options might slightly change. While you can take advantage of all these iPadOS 26 multitasking features without a keyboard, I'd highly recommend using Apple's Magic Keyboard or Smart Folio Keyboard, especially since there's no good way to use the iPad's keyboard without an external option. JPMorgan Lifts PT on Amazon.com (AMZN) Stock, Keeps Overweight

AWS is growing at mid-teens rates with nearly 40% segment margins and now contributes more than half of the group's operating income.
