Director Lars von Trier admitted to care facility for Parkinson's disease
'Lars is currently associated with a care centre that can provide him with the treatment and care his condition requires,' Louise Vesth, a producer at von Trier's production company Zentropa, wrote on Instagram, according to a translation. 'Lars is doing well under the circumstances.'
Vesth clarified that she was sharing the news because of speculation in the Danish media, and declined to offer any additional comments.

During an interview with Variety at the time, he opened up on how his condition had affected his work.
'It's a disease you can't take away; you can work with the symptoms, though,' he said. 'I just have to get used to that I shake and not be shameful in front of people. And then continue because what else should I do?'

"Male staff and family members were handcuffed, stripped, interrogated on the spot, and screened at gunpoint." Two WHO staff and two family members were detained, it said in a post on X, adding that three of them were later released. "WHO demands the immediate release of the detained staff and protection of all its staff," WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said. Deir al-Balah is packed with Palestinians displaced during more than 21 months of war in Gaza, hundreds of whom fled west or south after Israel issued an evacuation order, saying it sought to destroy infrastructure and capabilities of the militant group Hamas. WHO said its main warehouse, located within an evacuation zone, was damaged on Sunday due to an attack that triggered explosions and a fire inside. WHO stated it will remain in Deir al-Balah and expand its operations despite the attacks. Britain and more than 20 other countries called on Monday for an immediate end to the war in Gaza and criticised the Israeli government's aid delivery model after hundreds of Palestinians were killed near sites distributing food. In its daily update, Gaza's Health Ministry said at least 130 Palestinians had been killed and more than 1,000 wounded by Israeli gunfire and military strikes across the territory in the past 24 hours, one of the highest such totals in recent weeks. Israeli sources have said the reason the army had stayed out of the Deir al-Balah districts was because they suspected Hamas might be holding hostages there.
