Twice Ties BTS With A Big New Album

Twice's This Is For debuts at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, helping the girl group tie BTS, Ateez, and ... More Seventeen for the most top 10 albums among K-pop acts. Twice has ranked as one of South Korea's preeminent girl groups for years now, and the band's popularity around the world — especially in the United States — isn't dwindling, but rather, growing.
The group recently released a new album titled This Is For, which comes at the perfect moment. The many-membered singing troupe seems poised to reach the Hot 100 in a day or so with "Takedown" featured on the KPop Demon Hunter soundtrack.
This Is For doesn't quite match the same heights as some of Twice's past projects, but its arrival helps the girl group tie some of the biggest names in K-pop history for a very special record.
Twice Follows Justin Bieber and Travis Scott
This Is For launches at No. 6 on the Billboard 200. The project opens with 80,000 equivalent units, which would normally be enough for the group to approach the No. 1 spot, but this frame is particularly busy with new arrivals from stars like Justin Bieber, Travis Scott, and Clipse launching in loftier positions.
Twice scores a seventh career appearance inside the Billboard 200's top 10, and this latest collection is an important one for the group.
Twice Ties BTS, Ateez and Seventeen
With seven top 10 projects on the Billboard 200, Twice ties three other acts from the K-pop space for the most appearances inside the highest tier of all time. The girl group is now on the same level as Ateez, BTS, and Seventeen, all of which have also managed seven wins — although this ranking is sure to change soon.
BTS Will Soon Push Past Twice
When Billboard republishes its charts on Tuesday (July 29), BTS will pull ahead of Ateez, Seventeen, and Twice. The group, which recently reformed after all seven members completed their mandatory military service, recently released Permission to Dance on Stage (Live). That full-length is about to open at No. 10 on the Billboard 200, giving the troupe its eighth top 10 performer.
Twice Reaches the Top 10 on Multiple Charts
Twice's This Is For hits a trio of Billboard charts this week, and it's a top 10 win on all of them. The project opens at No. 3 on the Top Album Sales ranking and No. 4 on the Vinyl Albums list, bringing the girl group back to the highest region on both tallies and adding to an already historic cumulative total.

13 Female Celebs Who Got Real About Cosmetic Procedures

For decades, celebrities have been secretive about their cosmetic procedures — even when many people were speculating. But by 2025, conversations around plastic surgery have become much more open, and a growing number of female celebs have chosen to speak candidly on their experiences. Here are some celebrities who have spoken about the cosmetic work they've done, and their personal reasons behind it. Over the years, Chrissy Teigen has been candid about the cosmetic surgeries she's had. In a 2017 interview with Allure, she revealed how she underwent an armpit fat removal procedure. "Maybe nine years ago," (I had) "my armpit sucked out which was one of the best things I've done. It's a big secret, but I don't care. And it added two inches to my arms. It made me feel better in strapless dresses, and I felt more confident." Kylie Jenner recently opened up about her breast augmentation. In May 2025, she shared her exact implant size and the doctor she chose. "445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! Silicone!!!" "Hope this helps lol." In a 2015 interview with Seventeen, Iggy Azalea shared her experience getting a nose job, bluntly stating that "denying it is lame." "It's no easy feat to live with your flaws and accept yourself—and it's no easy feat to change yourself. Either way you look at it, it's a tough journey. There are things that I didn't like about myself that I changed through surgery. There are other things I dislike but I've learned to accept." Dolly Parton has never been one to stray from the truth — especially when it comes to plastic surgery. In 2023, the country legend discussed getting Botox, fillers, and more. 'If something is bagging, sagging, or dragging, I'll tuck it, suck it, or pluck it...I try to do just little bits at a time — I don't do like really big stuff. Only when I have to do something a little more, and even then, I try to be careful.' Victoria Beckham addressed rumours in a 2024 interview with Hello! Magazine. She revealed she hadn't touched her nose — but did acknowledge having breast implants in the past. She later had them removed in 2014. "I should probably say, don't mess with your those years I denied it – stupid. A sign of insecurity. Just celebrate what you've got." Cardi B has always kept it real — especially when it comes to cosmetic surgery. In a 2022 Instagram live, she opened up about getting butt injections in the past, and how she's undergone many procedures to remove them. "I got some more butt injections removed (in January) because you know it takes rounds to get your butt injections removed, and I also went to fix certain things with my I'm going to say is that if you're young, if you're 19, 20, 21, and sometimes you're too skinny, and you be like 'OMG I don't have enough fat to put in my ass,' so you result to ass shots, bitch don't fu**ing do it!" Ariana Madix rose in popularity as the host on Love Island USA. In 2024, Ariana cleared the air herself, responding directly to a social media post and openly listing her cosmetic work. "Tox in 11's, outer brow, and my neck. Ellevate for my neck in 2019 by @theneckdoctor. Minimal lip filler bc my face is too small to handle very much, and filler in my chin. Absolutely no filler anywhere else and def no bleph yet. Hope this helps! I'll keep y'all posted if I do anything else.' After years of dominating the modeling world and reality TV with America's Next Top Model, Tyra Banks decided to discuss the cosmetic work she'd gotten done. In her 2018 book Perfect is Boring, she candidly spoke about her nose job. "I had bones in my nose that were growing and itching...I could breathe fine, but I added cosmetic surgery. I admit it! Fake hair, and I did my nose. I feel I have a responsibility to tell the truth." Speaking of models, supermodel Cindy Crawford has also been refreshingly honest about her cosmetic surgeries. In a 2024 interview with Hello! Magazine, she shared that while she's had Botox done in the past, she relies on a healthy lifestyle to help maintain her glow. "I'll do those kinds of things, but in the end I truly haven't seen anything that's made such a huge difference that I like on anyone." In 2022, Amy Schumer opened up on Instagram about her shifted views on cosmetic surgery. She shared how she never thought she'd go under the knife — but after undergoing surgery to remove her uterus and appendix to fix her endometriosis, her perspective changed. "I feel good. Finally. It's been a journey, thanks for helping me get my strength back @seckinmd (endo) @jordanternermd (lipo). Never thought I would do anything, but talk to me after your uterus doesn't contract for 2.5 years and you turn 40." For someone who's been in the spotlight for almost six decades, Cher has been super open about her cosmetic procedures — especially her facelift. In 1984, she told British broadcaster Terry Wogan about her mother's decision to get a facelift. Fast-forward to 2018, she was just as unapologetic when telling the Daily Mail about her own experience. "Yes, I've had a facelift, but who hasn't?" Megan Fox clarified longstanding rumours in a 2024 interview on Call Her Daddy. She confirmed she had a breast augmentation and a nose job, and took the opportunity to shut down a few more surgery rumours. "I had my boobs done when I was 21 or 22 and I had them redone after I was finished breastfeeding my kids...I've literally been accused of having six, seven, eight rhinoplasty surgeries, I haven't had a rhinoplasty since, I'm going to say 23. It's been well over a decade. I've not touched my nose since then." Ariana Grande has faced speculation about plastic surgery for many years. But in a Vanity Fair lie detector interview with Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo, she addressed the rumours head-on, discussing her past experiences with filler and Botox. 'I've had fillers in various places, and I stopped like four years ago. And that is the extent. Whatever makes women, men, non-gender conforming people feel beautiful should be allowed." Cosmetic surgery is a deeply personal decision. Everyone's journey with beauty is different, and hearing these celebrities share their stories helps to reduce the stigma. Vameon Unleashes dEmpire of Vampire: A Cutting-Edge PvP Mobile Web3 Game Poised to Redefine GameFi

SINGAPORE, SG / ACCESS Newswire / July 29, 2025 / Vameon, a leading blockchain game development studio, today announced the full launch of dEmpire of Vampire, an innovative 3D mobile RPG set in a dark fantasy world with a strong emphasis on PvP gameplay. This launch marks a pivotal moment in the GameFi sector, offering a sustainable and player-centric model that directly addresses the widespread challenges and failures that have plagued the industry. The GameFi sector has faced significant challenges in recent years. Initially propelled by the hype surrounding NFTs and Play-to-Earn (P2E) mechanics, the industry has since experienced a downturn, with approximately 93% of GameFi projects having failed and an average project lifespan of only four months. These failures have been attributed to short-term thinking, unsustainable economic models, and rushed product releases that did not prioritize gameplay quality or user experience. 'We've observed how GameFi struggled because it attempted to forcibly combine two incompatible value systems: the pleasure of gaming and financial gain,' said Alex, cofounder of Vameon. 'Many P2E projects failed because they prioritized earning over gameplay. With dEmpire of Vampire, we aim to shift this paradigm by creating a game that people want to play for enjoyment first, and then offering sustainable and optional Web3 opportunities.' dEmpire of Vampire: A New Era of Sustainable GameFi Vameon enters this market not as a new entrant, but as a developer keenly aware of these pitfalls. dEmpire of Vampire, originally launched in 2023, adopted a phased development approach that included the introduction of its $VON token in December 2024. The game is now fully available on both the App Store and Google Play. This release is designed to set a new precedent in GameFi, focusing on longevity and utility, alongside accessible and engaging gameplay across both Web2 and Web3 platforms. The development and launch of dEmpire of Vampire have been proudly supported by BNB Chain, further solidifying its position within the Web3 ecosystem. A core component of dEmpire of Vampire is its approach to Web3 integration. Unlike earlier GameFi projects that required users to interact directly with blockchain technology, Vameon has made these features optional. This includes the use of a free NFT character associated with each account, allowing players to experience digital ownership without upfront costs or the need for specialized knowledge. This strategy aligns with broader trends such as 'invisible wallets' that simplify Web3 user experiences. The game's economic model also diverges from its predecessors. Players earn the native $VON token through in-game achievements, with anti-inflationary measures in place to preserve token value. These include a dual-budget reserve and a structured buyback mechanism designed to provide stability during periods of high reward redemptions. Additionally, revenue from traditional in-app purchases, such as premium character packs, supports the Play-to-Earn economy, establishing a hybrid monetization model that aims to balance sustainability with engagement. This approach seeks to mitigate the issues that led to the failure of many earlier GameFi projects, where token economies often collapsed due to speculative overreach and insufficient economic safeguards. According to recent industry reports, while overall investment in GameFi dropped by 71% in Q1 2025 compared to Q4 2024, the number of deals increased by 35%, and daily unique active wallets surpassed 7 million in January 2025-a 386% year-over-year rise. These figures suggest that while the market is contracting in terms of project volume, user engagement remains robust for high-quality offerings. dEmpire of Vampire features a dark fantasy setting, optimized performance for a broad range of mobile devices, and gameplay that allows players to progress through gothic-themed challenges. The design targets both Web3 users and the broader Web2 gaming audience by reducing the complexity often associated with blockchain-based games. The game also incorporates exciting PvP mechanics, offering players a competitive and engaging experience. Vameon has indicated that the game is part of a larger strategic roadmap. Future updates planned through Q2 2025 include an in-game marketplace, expanded utility for the $VON token, and additional game content. This roadmap is intended to support long-term player retention and further integrate economic mechanisms that reinforce stability and value. The development of dEmpire of Vampire reflects a shift in the GameFi sector toward more measured and sustainable project design. As the market evolves, projects that can demonstrate tangible value, user-centric design, and robust economic structures are expected to play a central role in the sector's maturation. About Vameon Vameon is a blockchain game development studio headquartered in Dubai, UAE, with an international team of over 30 professionals. The company focuses on merging traditional gaming quality with Web3 features in a way that prioritizes accessibility and long-term sustainability. Vameon aims to redefine the GameFi landscape by emphasizing player ownership, robust token utility, and gameplay that appeals to both crypto-native users and traditional gamers.
