Senior dies after car crash in Quebec City

Police say they have reason to believe he may have fainted. At 1:50 p.m., Quebec City police (SPVQ) officers were called to the intersection of 49e Street West and 2e Street to investigate the collision. The man was taken to hospital, where he later died of his injuries. The passenger in the vehicle escaped with minor injuries. Multiple passengers, including two infants, not wearing seatbelts leads to charges in Rockwood
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid several seatbelt related charges on a Rockwood driver, after multiple adults and young children were not strapped in. During a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere, or RIDE check, Wellington OPP stopped a vehicle on Main Street. Police said they found two adults and a four-year-old were not wearing seatbelts. A six-year-old was allegedly sitting on the lap of an adult, while a nine-month-old and a five-month-old were not properly fastened into their car seats. The nine-month-old's car seat was not attached to the seat and the five-month-old's seatbelt was not properly attached. The driver of the vehicle faced three charges and was given a warning, while two adult passengers were also charged.

Woman dead, pilot critically injured in central Alberta helicopter crash
Federal investigators have been deployed to Alberta following a deadly helicopter crash Sunday afternoon west of the city of Red Deer. In a statement, RCMP said the sole passenger, a 54-year-old woman, died of her injuries. The pilot of the aircraft, a 63-year-old man from Lacombe County, was taken by STARS to hospital in a life-threatening condition. Sylvan Lake RCMP said officers were dispatched to the scene of the crash near a private landing strip in Lacombe County in central Alberta around 12:30 p.m. Upon arrival, emergency responders attempted to assist the female passenger but she was declared dead after being pulled from the wreckage, RCMP said. Police said she was a resident of Benalto, Alta., a hamlet 15 kilometres west of Sylvan Lake. Officers remained on site until the scene was surrendered to investigators with the Transportation Safety Board. In a statement Sunday, officials with the TSB said the crash occurred at the Hespero/Safron Residence Heliport, about 40 kilometres from the Red Deer Regional Airport
