Freddie Flintoff shares major update on hit series Field of Dreams
The cricket champ-turned-presenter, 47, first launched the heartwarming show back in 2022, building a team of young hopefuls from his hometown of Preston in a bid to change lives through sport.

Fast forward two years - and two years on from his terrifying Top Gear crash - Freddie returned with Field of Dreams: On Tour, taking the same lads on an unforgettable cricket trip to India.
The series struck a chord once again, even landing Freddie an RTS Award nomination, and left viewers desperate for more.
Now, after months of whispers and speculation, it's looking like season three is a go - despite the BBC staying tight-lipped when reports first surfaced in April 2024.
Freddie revealed he's wrapped filming on the new series, which will feature not one, but three brand-new teams: two boys' squads from Bootle and Newton Heath, and a girls' team based in Blackpool.
Speaking to The Telegraph, the dad-of-four said the experience has been 'life-changing."
He shared: 'All the boys are doing well. But what I didn't envisage is what I got from it. Going to India with these boys helped me so much… it's getting bigger and bigger.'
He added: 'If you give kids a chance, they're all right, aren't they? Kids are good!'
Producers say the new season reflects the show's mission to promote equality and expand its reach, aiming to air later in 2025 on BBC One.
Fans can also expect a possible fourth season - with speculation mounting about an overseas tour for these new teams.
It's shaping up to be Freddie's busiest year yet.

Alongside Field of Dreams, he's fronting ITV's Bullseye reboot and preparing for a Disney+ docuseries on his recovery post- Top Gear crash.
And in a shock twist, Freddie also revealed he once turned down 'obscene' money to become a WWE wrestler and even got 'beaten up left, right and centre' during a trial run with a top American company.
If he'd signed on the dotted line, Freddie could've joined fellow Preston lad Stu Bennett, aka WWE's Wade Barrett, in the wrestling ring.
Instead, he's stuck to cricket bats over body slams - and fans are thankful for it.

The Indian Football Association has revealed it was duped by fake emails claiming to be from football royalty Pep Guardiola and Xavi, who were said to have applied to become the country's next national team coach. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) confirmed in a statement that the applications, which had reportedly come via email, were not genuine. 'The AIFF received an email furnishing the applications from Spanish coaches Pep Guardiola and Xavi Hernandez,' a statement said. 'The authenticity of their applications could not be confirmed, and it has since emerged that the email applications were not genuine.' Earlier this week, the AIFF's national team director had told the Times of India that Xavi's name had appeared among the applicants – with a technical committee member claiming he was considered too expensive to pursue. It has now emerged that Guardiola's name was also fraudulently included. Xavi is currently unemployed after leaving his role as Barcelona boss in May, while Guardiola remains under contract with Manchester City until 2027. Neither has ever managed a national team, although Guardiola has previously expressed interest. 'A national team. I would like to train a national team for a World Cup or a European Championship. I would like that,' Guardiola said last year. 'I don't know who would want me! To work for a national team they have to want you, just like a club.' India are searching for a replacement for Manolo Márquez, who was sacked this month after a brief stint and has returned to his former club FC Goa. The national side are currently ranked 133rd in the world and were knocked out in the second round of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. The AIFF confirmed it had received 170 applications for the vacant role, narrowing them to a shortlist of 10 before selecting three final candidates. 'Given the immediate needs of the national team, it is advisable to recommend three coaches from the shortlisted pool for final consideration,' the AIFF said. 'Other prominent applicants, many of whom are highly qualified international coaches, will be taken into account for long-term strategic roles in the future.' According to the Times of India, the three candidates being considered are former India manager Stephen Constantine, ex-Slovakia boss Stefan Tarkovic, and Indian football stalwart Khalid Jamil. India have never competed at a men's FIFA World Cup, although they did qualify for the 1950 tournament in Brazil before later withdrawing.

Shubman Gill and KL Rahul hold up England's push for fourth-Test victory
India captain Shubman Gill and opener KL Rahul slowed England's push to seal a Rothesay series win after Ben Stokes ended a two-year wait for a Test century. The England skipper had been without a three-figure score since the 2023 Ashes but he turned his overnight 77 into 141 on the fourth morning as his side were all out for 669 at Emirates Old Trafford. When Chris Woakes removed Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sai Sudharsan from successive deliveries with India yet to eat into a 311-run deficit, England might have had hopes of quickly wrapping up a 3-1 series lead. But following a tough start to the afternoon session, Gill made 52 not out, having been dropped on 46 by Liam Dawson, and Rahul an unbeaten 30 as India went to tea on 86 for two, still trailing by 225. England's total was their highest at home in the Bazball era, with only the 823 they amassed in Multan last October eclipsing it, with Stokes to the fore on Saturday as he recorded a 14th Test hundred. He also joined Lord Botham, Tony Greig and Gus Atkinson as the only Englishmen to make a ton and take a five-wicket haul in the same match although he curiously did not bowl himself on Saturday afternoon. Having struggled with cramp the previous evening, Stokes was put through his paces first thing, scampering through for a single, getting home despite Anshul Kamboj's direct hit from mid-on. Stokes smeared Mohammed Siraj twice through the covers but lost Dawson for company after he was bowled by one that kept low from Jasprit Bumrah, having fended one off a length the ball before. Stokes went to 7,000 Test runs in style by thrashing off-spinner Washington Sundar back over his head for six then reverse-sweeping him for four after England's total had gone past 600. Ravindra Jadeja was also carted for a couple of sixes before Stokes holed out while Brydon Carse did likewise in the slow left-arm spinner's next over, leaving India a tricky 15-minute period to bat before lunch. England's fast bowler pleaded for a review after locating Gill's front pad but the third umpire was unable to detect whether bat was involved first so the on-field official's not out decision remained. Gill's bottom hand, already bandaged, was struck two deliveries later while he survived another lbw in an eventful first over back but he rode out the storm and found some fluency as the ball got older. With Rahul appearing totally unflustered, England went up for a desperate lbw when Gill was on 45 before he was put down on 46 as a diving Liam Dawson shelled a difficult chance at backward point. Despite his first-innings five-for, Stokes did not bring himself on, even turning to Root to turn his arm over just before tea, with Gill bringing up a fifty to end the session.

Gill and Rahul survived to return for the afternoon session and steadied the ship, despite England continuing to create chances. Stokes, who took five wickets in the first innings, did not bowl having retired hurt with cramp on Friday when batting. Gill looked in especially good touch in difficult circumstances, moving to his eighth test fifty just before tea. He will return for the evening session unbeaten on 52 alongside Rahul on 30. England lead 2-1 in the series and victory at Old Trafford would seal it.
