Oasis ‘shocked and saddened' after fan falls to his death at Wembley show
Witnesses described the 'horrendous' scenes after the man reportedly fell from a balcony during the band's long-anticipated reunion tour.
Oasis said in a statement: 'We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night.
'Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.'
The Metropolitan Police have said that the man was aged in his 40s.
Despite the tragic events on Saturday, organisers said the band's performance on Sunday would still go ahead.
In a statement the Metropolitan Police said: 'A man – aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall.
'He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
'The stadium was busy and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage.
'If you have any information that could help us to confirm what happened, please call 101.'
A witness told the Daily Mail: 'It was horrendous.
'The guy fell from a balcony. Paramedics came rushing over. There was a lot of screaming and shouting.

'It was a big fall. God knows how it happened. It was so tragic. I don't know how on Earth it happened.
'It was heartbreaking. He was only young.'
The fall happened during the latest in a run of stadium shows for the band's sell-out Live '25 reunion tour – their first since splitting in 2009.
A spokesperson for Wembley Stadium said: 'Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concert-goer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall.
'Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers.
'The police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
'Tonight's Oasis concert will go ahead as planned.'

Disney's Family Feud viewers disgusted after all transgender team who did quiz show to raise money for PROSTITUTES make foul jokes
Disney's Family Feud is facing backlash after its first-ever all-trans team made a number of sexually charged jokes as they raised money for black trans prostitutes. The team was led by actress Laverne Cox, who joked about having her testicles removed as she cracked innuendos throughout the family show airing this week. She appeared alongside Mila Jam, Joslyn De Freece, TS Madison, and entertainer Peppermint, as the team raised money for Madison's charity TS Madison Starter House. The charity is a re-entry home for recently imprisoned black trans women, and describes itself on its website as 'an innovative housing initiative designed to support and empower black trans women engaged in sex work.' The all-trans team won $25,000 for Madison's charity, who added on the show that her charity for recently incarcerated prostitutes is a 're-entry house for system-impacted trans women.' Host Steve Harvey appeared stunned by some of the sex jokes that the team made during the show, with one coming after he asked Madison if he could call her 'TS.' 'Of course,' she responded. 'Listen, I take it short or long.' Harvey looked lost for words as he tried to get the show back on track, before Madison made another double entendre just seconds later. As Harvey turned to the camera with his mouth open in shock, Madison chimed in again: 'Steve Harvey, it's okay to free ball, we're free balling today.' 'We're free balling all day,' she added. Cox then added her own innuendo about having her own testicles removed. She cut in: 'Some of us are without the 'B' word, so some of us are free, and some of us have set them free.' As Harvey said 'oh my God', Madison added: 'Mine is called Chucky.' The lewd jokes sparked backlash from some on social media who slammed the remarks on the family show. Some X users called for a boycott of Family Feud, feeling the moment crossed the line. 'The freeballing jokes/ innuendos from the trans family was CRINGE ASF!!!' one X user said. 'Bring back shame.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Family Feud (@familyfeud) Another said: 'Celebrity Family Feud features all trans team that is raising money for black prostitutes. Survey says... Show cancellation coming soon.' One also directed their response directly to host Steve Harvey, saying the show 'was the most disappointing family feud ever.' 'Not interested in the show any longer with these types of candidates.' Disney did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the response to the show when contacted by the Daily Mail. The team's leader Laverne Cox, best known as the star of Orange is the New Black, made her appearance weeks after facing scrutiny from her own fans for admitting she dated a Trump-supporter. The star, 53, who is known for her extremely progressive politics, enraged her woke fanbase after dropping the bombshell about her love life in a video to promote her upcoming one-woman show. She also admitted that her lover, a police officer, was 22 years younger than her. 'He was 26, I was 48,' she explained. 'He is a blonde hair, blue-eyed MAGA Republican voter who is a New York City police officer.' While they're no longer dating, Cox admitted that they were 'madly in love' during their time together, and also gushed about how 'hot' he was, but insisted that she never adopted any of his conservative political views. The post was met with extreme backlash from fans of the Orange Is the New Black star, with many expressing complete shock and disbelief that she could date a Republican while publicly preaching her progressive politics.

Property Brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott give glimpse of 'bittersweet' personal summer amid HGTV turmoil
Property Brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott have given fans a glimpse into their 'bittersweet' personal summer amid the ongoing turmoil at HGTV. The duo recently shared that during the show's hiatus they took their 91-year-old father, Jim, to Scotland - where he was born. They also took their own children, including Drew's young kids - Parker and Piper, along to visit Jim's hometown as he reconnected with his roots. Jonathan was accompanied by fiancée Zooey Deschanel but it is unclear if her kids Elsie and Charlie - to whom he is a stepfather - joined in on the getaway. 'We took our dad back to his hometown, and then we stayed in a castle, and then we went to Munich and Italy and Zurich. So it was fun to travel and get the kids used at a young age to traveling abroad,' Drew shared to People. 'Our dad's 91, so if we go, it's nice to take him too, because he can go back and see his brother and family. 'So, we did a big family reunion there. We had 60 people together and it was a lot of fun.' In July, without warning, HGTV pulled the plug on Bargain Block, Married to Real Estate, and Izzy Does It - with sources telling the Daily Mail more changes are coming. It also delayed the twins' new show titled Chasing the West. It was supposed to come out on July 20 but it was postponed to July 30 amid the ongoing shakeup. Another program of theirs - Don't Hate Your House With the Property Brothers - was meant to begin airing its second season on July 30. But an updated press release stated that season two of the home renovation show will start 'later this year,' with no specific date announced. The Scotts' show Celebrity IOU, however, has managed to stay on its original schedule, premiering on July 9 with guest star Rachel Brosnahan. Chasing the West will see the Property Brothers help families escape the city and acclimate to country life across an eight-episode first season. The brothers grew up on a 160-acre ranch at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada. 'It was sort of bittersweet because we could share what we loved about growing up on a ranch with all of these families,' Jonathan told People. 'On the flip side, I miss it. It was so fun to be in the mountains.' Drew added: 'It was like a blast to the past for us. It was nostalgic. We were riding horses every other day, and I haven't ridden in years, so I was sore.' Shortly after the initial raft of HGTV cancellations last month, network sources spoke exclusively to the Daily Mail about the thinking behind the move. 'We had to stop the bleeding,' said the senior source, who claimed that revenues were underperforming and the network needed to act. 'We were hemorrhaging money. So in order to stop the bleeding, we had to have a bloodbath. It was calculated cuts to make things make sense, financially.'

Father who fell to death at Oasis Wembley show was a ‘lifelong fan'
Landscape gardener Lee Claydon, 45, of Bournemouth, Dorset, died following the incident at the London event on Saturday, according to his family. Speaking at his Bournemouth home, Clive Claydon, 75, told the PA news agency: 'He was a lovely bloke, loved to be with his family – a hard-working family man, he loved his kid, looked after them really well.' He added: 'He had everything going for him. I am so devastated, I have been to the doctor for tablets and everything to get over it.' He said that Lee, who is a father of one and was set to go on holiday with his family soon to Turkey, had gone to the concert with his brother and his brother's children, might have had a 'couple of beers' but had not taken any drugs. Mr Claydon said: 'He doesn't take drugs, he may have had a couple of beers but who hadn't there, people have said horrible things but it was just an accident.' Mr Claydon said that he was concerned about the safety measures at Wembley but added his son's brother and family had not seen the accident happen. 'It must have been horrific,' he said. 'All I know is there was beer everywhere, it's slippery, he slipped apparently, we do not know the rest of it, there's questions about the barriers.' He added: 'Of all the thousands of people there, it had to be my son.' A spokesperson for Wembley Stadium said: 'Wembley Stadium operates to a very high health and safety standard, fully meeting legal requirements for the safety of spectators and staff, and is certified to and compliant with the ISO 45001 standard. 'We work very closely and collaboratively with all relevant event delivery stakeholders – including event owners, local authorities, the Sports Grounds Safety Authority and the police – to deliver events to high standards of safety, security and service for everyone attending or working in the venue.' The Health and Safety Executive has been informed. The Metropolitan Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident, or have mobile phone footage, to come forward. A fundraising page, which has been set up to help raise money for Mr Claydon's partner and son, has already reached over £2,000. 'Our family has been turned upside down and are struggling to deal with this devastation and unexpected loss,' Aaron Claydon wrote on the page. 'Lee was a loving family man who was a role model to his son. 'Lee would have done anything for any of us and he was taken from us far too soon, and we will miss him so very much. 'Lee loved all outdoor activities, one of his favourite hobbies was fishing. He also loved music and his guitar. He also really enjoyed going to watch and support the boys and his nephew at their football games.' The fall happened during a run of stadium shows for the band's sell-out Live '25 reunion tour – their first since splitting in 2009. Oasis said in a statement: 'We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show. 'Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.'
