Jeremy Renner addresses his ex-wife's allegation that he threatened to kill her

Bullseye.
In a new interview with The Guardian, Jeremy Renner spoke about how his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco claimed during their 2019 divorce proceedings that he allegedly threatened to kill her and himself.
'Whatever stress I've had in life I've tried to find a way of laughing through it,' the 'Hawkeye' star said. 'And that's where sometimes cynicism comes out — you think, 'I'm just going to have a laugh at this stuff.''

When asked to elaborate on the 'stuff' he was referring to, Renner responded: 'Being accused of things you've not done, right? That doesn't feel good to anybody. It certainly doesn't feel good when you're a celebrity and it's known to everybody.'
Renner then confirmed that he was speaking about Pacheco's allegations and insisted her claims weren't true.
'No, and they happen all the time,' he stated. 'It's all the salaciousness that happens out there. It's clickbait, and it hurts my feelings and it dehumanizes people.'

The Oscar nominee also explained that he ignored the public's reaction when the allegations first emerged.
'It doesn't matter to me what people say,' the 'Avengers' star shared. 'They're saying it for their own reasons and not for the right reasons or the truth. And I'm used to that, because I'm a public figure. I don't read people's reviews, I don't read people's comments. I don't care. That's not part of my life.'
Renner and Pacheco, 37, were married for ten months before the model filed for divorce in Dec. 2014.

During their subsequent custody battle over daughter Ava, now 12, Pacheco claimed Renner threatened to kill her and once stuck a gun in his mouth and shot into the ceiling while Ava was in her room, according to TMZ.
The model also reportedly accused Renner of drug use and leaving cocaine on a bathroom counter where Ava could reach.
The 'Avengers' star denied all of Pacheco's allegations at the time.

Pacheco fought for sole custody of Ava, but she and Renner currently have joint custody.
When asked by The Guardian if he feared losing custody of his daughter, Renner said: 'That's just lawyers talking. That's lawyers arguing. The custody was easy.'
'Her mom and I get along very well, and we're in each other's lives,' he further revealed. 'It's lovely.'

Renner also stated that his relationship with his ex-wife is 'no one's business.'
'It's great,' he said. 'She's got a new baby and she sends me beautiful pictures.'

Renner, for his part, told The Guardian that he isn't dating someone 'at the moment.'

Justin Timberlake screams at crew mid-show onstage in wild outburst

Cry me a river. Justin Timberlake, 44, was caught screaming at his stage crew earlier this month during a show at the Lytham Festival in Lytham St Annes, England. The wild outburst unfolded after the 'SexyBack' singer's set was temporarily cut short due to a sound issue at the Lytham Green venue on July 5, according to a TikTok video shared by a fan in attendance. Advertisement In the surprising clip, Timberlake is approached by two crew members who appear to tell the pop star that it will take some time to fix the issue. Timberlake seems to raise his voice at the two men before making angry gestures and shaking his head. Advertisement The incident occurred early in Timberlake's set and came as he performed his 2002 hit 'Cry Me a River,' which has long been rumored to be about his nasty split from ex-girlfriend Britney Spears. 9 Justin Timberlake appears to yell at two members of his stage crew after a sound issue. 9 Justin Timberlake appears to raise his voice before making angry head gestures and shaking his head. But despite the sound cutting out and Timberlake's shocking outburst, another video showed the audience cheering and singing along to finish the song for the frustrated *NSYNC alum. However, the 'Rock Your Body' singer still faced backlash after the shouting video went viral. 9 Justin Timberlake after the sound cut out during his show at the Lytham Festival in Lytham St Annes, England, on July 5. 9 Justin Timberlake at the Lollapalooza Festival in Berlin, Germany on July 12. I went into soundcheck battling the flu and now it's gotten the best of me.' George and Amal Clooney's terrifying near miss at £8 million family chateau

GeorgeandAmal Clooney managed to avoid disaster last week when their villa in Provence came close to being affected by a fire that broke out in the local area. According to reports from Var Matin, a fire broke out close to their vast estate in the rural countryside close to Brignoles in the early afternoon of Friday, July 11. Authorities were quickly called to the scene. Twenty firefighters, along with two water bombing helicopters, five trucks and two command vehicles all tackled the blaze and successfully "contained the fire within the solar park" as reported in Paris Match. Thankfully, the fire did not spread beyond the photovoltaic park, which is operated by the energy renewables company, Voltalia. The cause of the fire has not been made public. Meanwhile, the Hollywood A-list couple, who married in 2014, haven't commented on the news. The pair bought their stunning property, named Domaine La Canadel in 2021 and have since spent a lot of their time here with their two children, Alexander and Ella, aged eight. Not only is the villa beautiful, but it also affords the ultra-famous couple plenty of privacy. The property sits on 425 acres of land and comes with a vineyard. On site, they're fortunate enough to have afull-sized swimming pool, tennis courts, a guest house, and huge gardens for their two kids to play. The building itself is stunning. The villa is a 18th-century farmhouse-style villa that comes with multiple bedrooms, bathrooms and reception rooms. There is also a huge kitchen and dining area, perfect for hosting, and gorgeous high-ceilinged rooms that lead out onto a stunning terraced patio. After parting with a cool £8 million to secure the property in 2021, the Clooneys reportedly spent a large sum of money renovating the interiors to their own taste. Although they made sure to keep the Mediterranean theme. In fact, according to Vincent Sauvestre, who works for Terres & Domaines estate agents, the pair used their villa in Lake Como, Italy, as inspiration for the redesign. "[George] has done everything in an Italian style, no doubt just like at his Lake Como home," he told Paris Match, who also reported that the Clooneys had hired high-end decorators and designers from Paris to get to work on the renovations. The famous couple might own multiple properties around the globe, including in the States, the United Kingdom and Italy, but their French chateau offers them a quiet, countryside lifestyle that they don't get anywhere else. The Oscar-winning actor told The New York Times that their 'hands-on' lifestyle in the country is reminiscent of his own childhood growing up in Kentucky. "Growing up in Kentucky, all I wanted was to get away from a farm, get away from that life. Now, I find myself back in that life. I drive a tractor and all those things. It's the best chance of a normal life."

Will Reeve reveals first impression of Superman David Corenswet

Up, up, and away! Will Reeve, who is the son of the late Christopher Reeve, recently sat down with The Post for an exclusive interview ahead of the new 'Superman' movie, now in theaters. While Will, 33, discussed everything from his cameo in the new superhero flick to how the cast and crew of the film paid tribute to his legendary father, he also revealed which of the many iconic Superman costumes is his favorite. 21 Will Reeve at the Los Angeles premiere of 'Superman' on July 7. Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP 'I think the classic, with the cape and the trunks on the outside and the big red boots and the vibrant colors,' he said. 'That works for me.' Even though Will's famous father donned one of the most iconic Superman outfits in 'Superman: The Movie' and its three sequels, the outfit has a lengthy history. Before Christopher Reeve wore the blue, red and yellow ensemble for the first time in 1978, the costume was worn by Kirk Alyn in 1948 and 1950 before George Reeves in 1951. Both Alyn and Reeves' costumes were made of knit wool with muted colors to film in black and white. Reeve's suit was the first to depart from knit wool, and it was made of custom-woven and stretchy nylon material, plastic, and small metal elements for the snaps and zippers. 21 Kirk Alyn climbs through an open window as the Man of Steel in an episode of the Columbia serial 'Superman' in 1948. THA/Shutterstock After Will's father donned the red cape one last time for 'Superman IV: The Quest for Peace' in 1987, it was put on ice until actor Brandon Routh picked up the Man of Steel mantle for 'Superman Returns' in 2006. Routh's costume marked the first time a live-action Superman suit was given texture. During an interview with CBS News in 2006, costume designer Louise Mingenbach described the outfit as 'high-tech and ultra-thin' and made of a spandex blend she called Milliskin. More recently, the Krypton crest was worn by Henry Cavill until, finally, David Corenswet was cast as the latest Man of Tomorrow for James Gunn's new blockbuster. Where Cavill's thick suit was woven with multiple layers of thin mesh, chainmail, and foam latex, per costume designer Michael Wilkinson, Corenswet's was created with custom 3D-printed fabric. Judianna Makovsky, who designed the newest Superman suit, described Corenswet's costume as 'a little more clothing, less spandex' in a recent interview about her creation. 21 Brandon Routh as Superman in the 2006 movie 'Superman Returns.' Pictures Although Will doesn't own any of his father's ensembles, he noted that one of the original costumes is where it belongs: on display at the Smithsonian Museum. 'I don't personally have anything from 'Superman,' but I think something that's a great honor for our family is that the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC, has one of the original costumes that my dad wore,' he shared. 'I think that any Superman memorabilia, or items from the set, are better served in public display for the millions of people who love the character, and who loved my father more than it might have on my mantle,' he added. 'And it was a treat,' Will continued. 'I felt so welcomed and included. And I did say to David in that moment where we met, I wanted him to know that I, my brother, and sister, and our whole family are just excited for them.' Before having Will with wife Dava Reeve in 1992, Christopher welcomed son Matthew, now 45, and daughter Alexandra, now 41, with his former partner, Gae Exton. 21 Christopher Reeve in New York City in 1970. Getty Images One thing the younger Reeve made clear when he met Corenswet for the first time was that he and his siblings are 'not the gatekeepers of Superman' despite their father's seemingly inseparable connection to the character. 'I keep saying we're not the gatekeepers of Superman, just because our dad is so inextricably linked with that role,' Will told The Post. 'So I didn't want anyone involved in this new project to think that we were anything but supportive and excited as fans and friends.' REUTERS As for the new movie, Will said it is 'everything that a great superhero blockbuster movie can and should be.' 'It's just so fun,' he shared. 'I think that Superman, the character, is a bit quirky and slightly corny, earnest. Pure of heart, so on and so forth. And that shines through.' 'I think that's what made my dad's version so resonant with audiences back when it came out and through to the present day, because he played the character as it was ideally conceived, and really, he embodied it,' Will added. 21 Will Reeve at Disney Upfront 2025 on May 13 in New York City. See Your Deals 'I don't know what it's like to play Superman, but from what I can tell, there's a trick you have to pull off, and I commend David for doing that, and for picking up the torch,' Will acknowledged. 'I think that that was my dad's greatest work in Superman was convincing audiences to believe not only that a man could fly, but also that the same being was also Clark Kent, who was a bit bumbling and awkward.' The James Gunn-directed action sci-fi also stars Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Nathan Fillion (Green Lantern) and Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen). 21 Peter Safran, Nicholas Hoult, Rachel Brosnahan and David Corenswet at the Los Angeles premiere of 'Superman' on July 07, 2025, in Hollywood, California. REUTERS Will previously reunited with Corenswet for a 'Good Morning America' interview that aired Thursday. 'That was a special thing for me,' he said regarding interviewing the new 'Superman' star. 'And I was honored to get to speak with David.' 'As he ventures off on this great journey, he doesn't need my or my family's permission to be Superman or to be great as Superman,' Will concluded. 'But we're certainly cheering him and the whole Superman team on.'
