Primark shopper 'cried' over £18 bedding that looks just like £120 designer version
Ffion highlighted her find in her video with the words: "Your sign to run to Primark for the Djerf Avenue dupe bedding," and mentioned that the Primark set is a bargain at only £18, offering shoppers a substantial saving of £102 in comparison to the designer version.
Included in the £18 deal are both a duvet cover and a fitted sheet, eliminating the need for additional spending on a separate undersheet. The design features a fruit print, and it looked absolutely striking once Ffion had styled it on her bed.
She then accessorised with added cushions and her Jellycat croissant plush, culminating in a bedroom display worthy of royalty, reports Bristol Live.
While some commenters expressed discontent over the bedding's material blend – made up of polyester and a "minimum of 50 percent" cotton – polycotton does offer certain advantages, particularly for bedding.
This fabric is a durable, economical and practical combination of polyester and cotton; polycotton resists wrinkles, shrinkage, and fading better than pure cotton does, providing ease of maintenance and longevity.
This can often be preferable features for bedding materials.
The blend's polyester fibres contribute strength and durability to the bedding, ensuring it remains robust and keeps its form even after repeated washes.
Additionally, polycotton outpaces pure cotton in drying times, a particular advantage for laundering in damp climates or when quick reuse is necessary.
Not only is polycotton generally more wallet-friendly than 100 percent cotton options, but it also offers a more lightweight feel, attracting those who prioritise both comfort and thriftiness.
Although pure cotton gets plaudits for its natural softness and breathability, polycotton strikes an ideal balance between cosiness, convenience, and cost-efficiency, meeting diverse daily requirements.
The packaging reads: "Product made using a minimum of 50 percent cotton from the Primark sustainable cotton programme."
Intrigue regarding the bedding's tactile quality was apparent, with a TikTok comment querying, "But is it soft?"
A response on the thread reassured potential buyers: "They don't feel soft in the packets (I was always put off by this) but I promise you they are when you put them on and when they're freshly washed!"
The hue of the fitted sheet sparked another query: "What colour is the fitted sheet, hun?"
A helpful response in the TikTok conversation revealed "blue stripes," whilst reminding viewers that other colours for fitted sheets are available at Primark for those looking for a different shade.

Molly-Mae Hague shares latest holiday snap after complaining over summer plans
Love Island's Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury are enjoying a sumemr holiday to Turkey with their daughter Bambi and fans have been kept updated in posts this weekend Former Love Island finalists Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury are enjoying a trip abroad with their daughter Bambi. They have shared updates from their latest holiday after Molly-Mae expressed concern over her summer plans. Molly-Mae, 26, and Tommy, also 26, flew out to Turkey with toddler Bambi, two, recently. The couple have since posted about staying at the coastal resort Regnum The Crown on the vacation, with them giving their fans an insight into the trip in content shared on social media this weekend. They have been seen enjoying each other's company at the location and taking Bambi to a waterpark on the holiday. It comes after Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones split as he joins a notorious dating app on a lads' holiday. READ MORE: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry set for new 'goldmine' offer - but could face issue This afternoon, Molly-Mae shared a photo of Bambi sat with Tommy, who had his eyes closed, on a plane. She teased in the caption that was included on the post on her Instagram Story earlier today: "Sleep about to abruptly end." Tommy also shared a photo from the flight that showed Bambi on Molly-Mae's lap. He wrote: "Quality time incoming." Then over a photo of him and Bambi at an airport, he said: "Excited to be somewhere I haven't visited before." He's since shared updates from their hotel resort, including teasing that he was "staying on plan" when it came to meals. Tommy also uploaded a photo of himself in a gym, with the boxer seen smiling whilst posing for a selfie in a mirror. Following their arrival at the destination, Molly-Mae shared a photo of Tommy and Bambi cuddled up in bed together. She later shared a photo of them lying together on a sun lounger at a water park and told fans: "My favourite view." Molly-Mae also shared a photo of herself and Bambi at Aqualantis, with them seen on a slide together. Tommy later uploaded footage of the pair on a different slide, with them seen splashing into the water together in his video. The updates from the family's holiday comes after Molly-Mae was seen in tears in a recent vlog following a backlash. She addressed the suggestion that she's "out of touch" after complaining about struggling with parenting lately, including saying she was found a recent motorhome holiday challenging. She told fans in the video: "I feel like I need to keep my camera running all day so you guys like actually just see ... it's like every single thing is a huge problem. Like [Bambi is] screams and can't even get like socks and shoes on." Addressing potential critics of her vlogs, Molly-Mae added: "I don't care who tells me I'm out of touch with reality or like all this stuff that's going on on TikTok at the minute." She said: "I don't care like I'm not gonna not talk about it." The update came after she was met with criticism after complaining that she hadn't done anything "fun" over the summer. She said in a vlog uploaded last month: "I said to someone the other day, right, that I am gonna make it to the end of summer [having] not done one fun thing." She added: "I haven't socialised once. [...] I haven't done one social, fun thing. I haven't a life. I haven't a life. Oh, it's not good is it? Like I am literally ... summer will end and I won't have done one fun social thing." She gave an example as going out with a friend and their children for the day. Some people however pointed out that in recent weeks Molly had been to Wimbledon and on the motorhome holiday to the Isle of Man, for example.

Mum's £2.50 hack to 'save hundreds' on summer holiday outings with kids
Mum's £2.50 hack to 'save hundreds' on summer holiday outings with kids With the cost of living seemingly always on the rise, it's hard to keep the kids entertained for – but one parent has shared a genius 'hack' she claims can save you hundreds A mum-of-two has shared a 'genius hack' for the school summer holidays (stock) (Image: Caiaimage/Paul Bradbury via Getty Images) With the school summer holidays now upon us, keeping children entertained for six weeks can prove challenging at the best of times – but with living costs continuing to rise, it becomes even more daunting. However, one parent has revealed a brilliant "hack" which she claims could potentially save families hundreds of pounds during days out. "This is one of the best money saving tips for the summer holidays," declared mum-of-two Amy Samantha in a TikTok video. "As a family of four, sometimes we're looking at £40 for lunch out – so this is what we do for the majority of our days out and it only takes about five minutes to prepare in the morning." Content cannot be displayed without consent Samantha Ann's clip continued as she opened a tin of hot dogs from her kitchen cupboards whilst demonstrating her technique. The mum then prepared the sausages, which cost just £2.50, at home before placing them – along with their brine - into a flask. Not forgetting the tomato ketchup and American mustard, Samantha Ann packed them into her rucksack alongside a packet of hot dog rolls. "It's easy to carry around like this," she explained. "No giant cool box is needed and as you can see, my kids absolutely love them. "It's a summer holiday winner from Ye Olde Oake [hot dog brand]," she announced as her children could be seen enjoying their meal on a picnic blanket. One TikTok user, in response to the idea, praised it as: "Genius... I look at the insane prices charged today and just don't understand how people afford it. Growing up we always took packed lunches/picnics with us, it was a real treat to go to a cafe or restaurant. It's ironic that things have turned full circle." Another person concurred: "Good on you your saving loads. Why give money to use expensive places when you have a winner there." A third added: "This is a fantastic idea thank you for sharing. Hot food in the go." Whilst a fourth TikTok user simply stated: "Good on you, it's so expensive now for families." Earlier this month, reports indicated that families, on average, will spend an additional £611 over the holiday period, adding strain to already tight household budgets. Article continues below A survey commissioned by Utility Warehouse, involving 1,000 parents with children aged 5 to 14, revealed that costs can escalate even further for those booking clubs and camps, adding another £385 to the bill. Day trips are expected to cost an extra £199, while food and snacks alone could increase expenses by £401. Steve Long, spokesperson for Utility Warehouse, commented: "With a mix of day trips, summer camps and even an increase in cost for keeping the kids fed, these additions soon add up, but there are some great ways they can save money. Shopping around for bargains and using money saving devices like rewards and cashback cards can be a big help."
