Israel's Deputy Foreign Minister slams countries for ‘rewarding' Hamas

Sky News AUa day ago
Israel Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel says Israel will not settle for a two-state solution because it is like 'selling your moral compass'.
'This is a declaration that is giving Hamas, a terrorist organisation, a reward for the worst massacre of Jews since the holocaust,' Ms Haskel told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
'That will only give them incentives to continue and terrorise people all around the world.'

Nigel Farage calls out Sadiq Khan for refusing to debate on UK crime crisis

Reform UK Leader Nigel Farage has called out London Mayor Sadiq Khan for 'complacency' on the crime crisis gripping Britain's capital. 'The mayor does not wish to debate it; the mayor says don't worry, crime is okay, London is fine – well it's not,' Mr Farage told Sky News host Paul Murray. 'It's that kind of complacency from Khan and indeed I think from the Labour Party, which is why we are seeing these astonishing rapid shifts in British politics.'

Trump threatens tariffs on India over Russian oil deal

United States President Donald Trump flags a potential tariff hike on India in response to its continued oil trade with Russia. Sky News contributor Kosha Gada says the move serves multiple purposes but risks backlash from Trump's base, wary of deeper US involvement in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. 'It's a multilayered lever for him, certainly for economics and pouring in external revenue,' Ms Gada said. 'This one is a little bit controversial, where he is paying a price with his base that does not want the us to interfere much more in the Ukraine–Russia saga.'

‘You've got a two-tier system': Nigel Farage reacts to Harbour Bridge demonstrations

Reform UK Leader Nigel Farage discusses the 'two-tier system' taking place in Australia and other Western nations regarding the rise of pro-Palestinian demonstrations. Police estimated 90,000 demonstrators took part in the 'March for Humanity' through the heart of Sydney, which shut down the Harbour Bridge from 11.30am to about 5pm, although it was originally scheduled to end at 4pm. 'What you are seeing in Australia, as we are seeing in London, is the effective surrender to the pro-Palestinian mob,' Mr Farage told Sky News host Paul Murray. 'They are scoring victories across the Western world because governments, police forces, the authorities are frankly now just too scared to stand up to them.'
