WrestleMania 42 to take place in Las Vegas once again
Reports about the premiere event of the WWE season leaving New Orleans surfaced a few weeks back. As speculation ran rampant on social media, WWE announced during its Money in the Bank premium live event that WrestleMania will be back at Allegiant Stadium.
"Las Vegas helped to deliver the biggest WrestleMania of all time, shattering records and delivering an amazing week for fans around the world," WWE president Nick Khan said in a news release. "We look forward to once again working with the talented and effective teams at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and Allegiant Stadium to bring WrestleMania back to the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World."
Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) CEO Steve Hill, who talked to Fox News Digital earlier this year ahead of WrestleMania 41, touted the return of the event as well.
"We are honored that WWE has once again selected Las Vegas to host the biggest event on their calendar," Hill said. "Bringing WrestleMania 42 to Las Vegas underscores our city's reputation for elevating world-class events to new heights. We are excited to build on last year's success and deliver an even more incredible experience for the WWE Universe in 2026."
WrestleMania in Las Vegas was just as busy as Super Bowl week in the city. WWE hosted events up and down the Las Vegas Strip, including the Hall of Fame ceremony, the Roast of WrestleMania and WrestleMania After Dark at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas.
WWE said "Monday Night Raw," "Friday Night SmackDown" and WWE World will return. NXT Stand & Deliver will also take place in the city.
It will be the second time in WrestleMania's history that the show will be hosted in the same city in consecutive years. WrestleMania IV and WrestleMania V were held at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.

Teddi Mellencamp shared footage on Tuesday of an attempted burglary that took place at her Los Angeles home on Monday night. The 44-year-old former reality TV star took to Instagram to share video from her security cameras, which showed three men dressed in black hoodies jumping over the gate at the front of her property and across her driveway. A second clip showed the three men making their way across the yard on the side of the house, before quickly returning to the front of the house and fleeing the property. "We are grateful that everyone is unharmed," she said in a statement shared with Fox News Digital. "While we are shaken, we are fortunate to have the latest in home security systems which scared off the intruders. Authorities were alerted and swiftly responded. We appreciate everyone's heightened concern in light of recent criminal activities in our area, but we are safe." When speaking with NBC News Los Angeles, the former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star's estranged husband explained the suspects broke in through a door on the side of the house, but fled after only a few seconds, as they set off the alarm system. He added that while he and Mellencamp were home at the time, the intruders had already run out by the time they came downstairs. Fox News Digital confirmed that the Los Angeles Police Department responded to two burglary calls in the immediate area that evening, one of which was from a neighbor who experienced a break-in prior to the attempted burglary at Mellencamp's home. Both calls were made at around 10 p.m. local time and within 10 minutes of each other. "While we are shaken, we are fortunate to have the latest in home security systems which scared off the intruders. Authorities were alerted and swiftly responded. We appreciate everyone's heightened concern in light of recent criminal activities in our area, but we are safe." News of the break-in came amid the former real housewife's announcement that metastasized tumors in her lungs and brain had significantly shrunk or disappeared completely. The daughter of singer John Mellencamp was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer earlier this year after melanoma metastasized in her brain and lungs. She underwent surgery to remove several masses and has been receiving immunotherapy and radiation. "I'm feeling good," Mellencamp said on her Instagram in April. "I have two more sessions of immunotherapy, and then hopefully I am done and I will be cancer-free. I'm going to keep a positive outlook, because that's how my doctor just spoke to me — he said, 'You did this. You got this.'" Shortly after, Mellencamp urged her fans to take charge of their own health and shared that she felt doctors may have overlooked symptoms prior to her Stage 4 diagnosis. Mellencamp explained that since her highest-stage melanoma didn't exceed a Stage 1 diagnosis, doctors chose not to go through with a full-body scan. "When I finally followed up on it, they were like, 'We didn't do the scans, because you didn't have anything above a Stage 1 on your body…' But look what happened," she told Glamour. Bears' full squad arrives at Halas Hall ahead of training camp
The full squad arrived at Halas Hall for Bears Training Camp Tuesday ahead of the first practice on Wednesday. Jaylon Johnson came to Halas Hall too, but the pro Bowl cornerback will miss a couple of weeks of practice after suffering a leg injury while training on his own. As veterans report to Halas Hall, players are already saying there is a sense of urgency before their first practice on Wednesday. But new head coach Ben Johnson knows his first training camp as a head coach will include twists and turns, and learning curves for all. "There's going to be bumps, there's going to be ups, there's going to be downs. It's easy to have bad day or two, and go ahead and be all panicky. That's not going to be us. It's going to be a little bit more of [a curve], but there's certain benchmarks along the way," Johnson said. "The first couple weeks is going to be a big installation, so the guys are going to be thinking. Mistakes are going to be made." Quarterback Caleb Williams is headed into his second year with clear goals, including to be the franchise's first 4,000-yard passer, and to complete 70% of his passes while learning under the new offensive head coach. "It's been growing. It's been awesome. You know, we're having fun. You know, he gets on me, and it's greatly appreciated that he does — being tough on me, and realizing and understanding that nobody is above anybody — all of us are one," said Williams. "That's how we're going to march this season." Also Tuesday, Bears general manager Ryan Poles said Braxton Jones and rookie tight end Colston Loveland are healthy to start camp, but they will go through a ramp up period.

Dodgers place left-hander Tanner Scott on IL with elbow inflammation
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Dodgers placed left-handed reliever Tanner Scott on the 15-day injured list on Tuesday with left elbow inflammation, yet another blow to an ailing bullpen. In a corresponding move, right-hander Alexis Diaz was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City. The Dodgers already are without late-inning relief options in right-handers Blake Treinen (forearm), Michael Kopech (knee) and Brusdar Graterol (shoulder), who has yet to pitch this season. Treinen is close to a return. Just under 24 hours after Scott was removed from Monday night's game with a forearm injury, manager Dave Roberts expressed optimism that the issue is not as bad as initially feared. Scott underwent an MRI on Tuesday, but the club did not immediately reveal the results. 'Just right now, (Scott) talking to the training staff, we feel good about it,' Roberts said. 'That's better than what we thought last night and hopefully we get some good news from Dr. (Neal) ElAttrache.' Scott, who turned 31 on Tuesday, is in the first year of a four-year, $72 million contract and has struggled to a 1-2 record with a 4.14 ERA in 47 appearances. He has 19 saves and seven blown saves. Diaz, 28, was acquired in a trade with the Cincinnati Reds on May 29 and has yet to make an appearance with the Dodgers. The 2023 National League All-Star has a 6.20 ERA in 14 combined appearances at Triple-A for Oklahoma City and Louisville.
