ITV Coronation Street's Farrel Hegarty teases Lou Michaelis return and shares her one desire

Farrel Hegarty has revealed that she was 'really sad' to film her final scenes as Lou Michaelis in Coronation Street and has shared her dream storyline for the character.
Coronation Street 's Farrel Hegarty has opened up about her hopes for character Lou Michaelis should she make a comeback to the Cobbles.
The actress is set to depart from the ITV soap just a few months after her first appearance as Lou, who arrived in Weatherfield in February alongside her husband Mick, quickly becoming known as the new 'nightmare neighbours'.

They took up residence on Mawdsley Street, behind Chesney and Gemma Winter-Brown's home, marking the first time Corrie has expanded its drama across the ginnel, with the couple immediately causing a stir.

The plot thickened dramatically when Mick shockingly murdered PC Craig Tinker while on duty, in harrowing scenes broadcast in May which left fans devastated, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.
As viewers reel from Mick's incarceration, it's been revealed that he will stage a daring prison escape leading to a tense hostage situation as he desperately seeks freedom.
While Mick's fate on the show seems sealed, either through fleeing or returning to prison, the details surrounding Lou's departure remain uncertain.
Farrel, also known for her TikTok fame, has shared her feelings about shooting her last scenes, telling Inside Soap: "It was really sad.
"On your last day on set, they give you a little round of applause. Julia [Goulding, aka Shona Platt] is one of my best mates and she popped round the corner. You know when you see your mate and it just makes you upset? I saw her little face and I burst into tears!" Farrel recalled, opening up about her emotional farewell on the set.

When questioned about her ideal storyline for Lou if she were to return, Farrel expressed her wishes: "I would love to see what she's capable of without Mick. They were so dependent on each other, and it was so toxic.
"There's a lot of joy and fun in her and also mischief. Obviously, it wouldn't be strait-laced, would it? She'd go on a rampage!".

Elsehwere, Coronation Street's Mikey North has spoken out about the uncertainty surrounding his character Gary Windass, as fans continue to speculate whether he might be written out of the popular ITV soap.
Mikey, who has portrayed Gary for almost 20 years, expressed concerns over his potential departure. Speaking on This Morning regarding Gary's intense current storyline, Mikey made a light-hearted confession about his time in Weatherfield.
He shared with presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard: "Gary's walked out and has gone missing. We find him in hospital in a coma."
Sharon Marshall humorously remarked that Maria often seems to be a 'black widow' on the street, given her history with men. Responding to this, Mikey quipped: "I think I've been with her five or six years counting, so I've probably got about six months left."

Tammy Hembrow calls up her ex-fiancé Reece Hawkins for a 'goodnight' chat following split with Matt Zukowski... and everyone's saying the same thing

Tammy Hembrow has played a cheeky prank on ex-fiancé Reece Hawkins amid her split with husband Matt Zukowski. The couple, who share two children – Wolf, 8, and Saskia, 6 – ended their engagement in June 2018. And Tammy took to social media this week to indulge in a spot of phone pranking, that is currently going viral on TikTok. She shared a clip with her 2.2 million TikTok followers that showed her calling up Reece unannounced to say 'goodnight'. The clip began with a voice off-camera egging Tammy on with: 'Oh my gosh, call Reece. Do it.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Laughing at the prospect of surprising her ex with an unsolicited call, Tammy giggled before dialling the number. 'Hey, I'm just calling to say goodnight,' Tammy said down the line to a confused Reece. 'What do you mean?' Reece replied before Tammy answered: 'Can't I just say goodnight to you? What do you mean? 'I'm the mother of your children. I can't say goodnight? A friendly goodnight?' Struggling to get his head around the call, Reece asked again why Tammy was calling, and she replied: 'Goodnight, see you later.' Neglecting to reciprocate the sentiment, Reece ended the phone call with an abrupt: 'Yeah alright, loser,' which elicited a hearty laugh from Tammy. Tammy's cheeky post sent her fans into overdrive, with many pleading with the influencer to get back together with her ex. 'They broke up years ago and I'm still in denial. Tammy & Reece, come home,' one fan wrote. Another pined: 'I can't be the only one that is praying for this reconciliation,' while a third offered a hopeful: 'Please let this be the start of the reunion we have all been waiting for.' It didn't end there, either, with one fan admitting they would 'never get over' the former lovebirds reuniting. 'I can't handle this if they don't get back together,' they wrote, while another fan replied: 'Still in denial. If you guys got back together it would break the internet.' It comes after Matt Zukowski announced the couple's separation in a sombre Instagram Story last month, telling fans the decision was not taken lightly. 'It's with a heavy heart I share that Tammy and I have decided to separate,' Matt began. 'Both of us have struggled with making this decision, however we need to do what is right for ourselves and her three children. 'This wasn't a decision we took lightly. Our time together will always be cherished and never forgotten,' he added, before thanking fans for their support and asking for privacy. Despite their short-lived marriage, both parties have asked for privacy as they adjust to life post-breakup. 'We appreciate everyone's support and space at this time as we navigate the split,' Matt concluded in his emotional post. Tammy later addressed the split in an emotional TikTok video, telling fans she would be getting a divorce. 'I don't want to get into the details, and I want to be sensitive to everyone involved,' she told fans. 'Obviously, when you marry someone, you do it thinking that it is going to be forever, and I blame no one but myself,' Tammy continued while breaking down in tears. 'I've made not the best choices when it comes to relationships. I'm good at putting on rose-coloured glasses. 'Obviously, the worst part for me is that I have kids. I don't care about me – I know I will be okay – but I feel awful.' After splitting with Tammy back in 2018, Reece moved on with American model London Goheen, whom he married in 2020. The couple welcomed a son, Stone, in 2021, before calling it quits a year later.

Bruno Tonioli 'leaving Britain's Got Talent', reports say

The Italian-British TV star has been a part of the ITV talent show for two series, but is now going to quit. He missed some episodes in the latest series of the show and was replaced by guest judge KSI. With his exit rumoured to be coming, here's who is lined up to be the new judge, and who fans want to see. Last series was not short of scares, and this lot certainly kept us in suspense with their danger-filled auditions! Check out our most dangerous acts from #BGT Series 18: Do not try these acts at home! An insider told The Sun that Tonioli would not be able to film the show due to prior commitments in the US for Dancing with the Stars. They said: "The filming schedule in 2024 meant that Bruno could get away with not being present for filming one week of auditions. 'But it would be virtually impossible for him to miss two weeks, because in the final edit, that equates to half the episodes in the new three-month run of BGT, which will air from February of 2026. 'There is absolutely no ill feeling about the situation, it's simply down to changes in the schedule making it incredibly difficult to remain as a full-time judge. 'The only hope is if his long-time friend and fellow panellist Simon Cowell steps in to make it clear that he has to be a part of the show, no matter how difficult it proves to be.' According to the report from the publisher, the frontrunners are KSI and Alan Carr. KSI, being the guest judge on the last series, could make for an obvious choice, with many enjoying his brief appearances on the show. Alan was one of the previous favourites to replace former judge David Walliams before Tonioli was chosen. Reacting to the news online, fans of the show have had their say on who they would like to fill the soon-to-be-vacant judging chair. One said: "Alan Carr would be the right choice." Another said: "I beg BGT bring in Alan Carr. KSI didn't work, I might actually watch this abysmal show if Alan Carr was on it." "Alan Carr every single day," said a third. Some, however, backed internet personality KSI to take on the role fully. Recommended reading: "No KSI no party," one joked. A second said: "Alan Carr would be good but I've gotta go with my guy KSI to be the next judge." Other names that were thrown in the hat by fans included Harry Hill, Sam Thompson or Pete Wicks, or bringing back David Walliams.
