Two Movie Icons Reunite for First Time in 24 Years at 'F1' Premiere originally appeared on Parade.
The reunion of Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise at the F1: The Movie London premiere was nothing short of a Hollywood moment 24 years in the making.
The two iconic stars, who last appeared together in 1994's Interview With the Vampire, couldn't help but show their brotherly love as they reconnected on the red carpet for the European premiere of Cruise's new film at Cineworld Leicester Square on Monday, June 23.
Cruise, 62, sporting his signature aviators and a gray suit, was all smiles as he greeted Pitt, 61, who was dressed in a green suit with a mint scarf and sunglasses. The duo exchanged laughs, shared a handshake, and even embraced in a few photos. It's been over two decades since the two were photographed together—last appearing at a 9/11 benefit in 2001.

Cruise arrived solo to the event, seemingly leaving rumored girlfriend Ana de Armas at home. However, Pitt opted to bring his girlfriend Ines de Ramon to the event, the two posing together on the carpet. The businesswoman looked flawless in a sparkly, floor length gown as she supported her husband at the event.
The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star recently expressed interest in collaborating with Cruise again—under one condition. 'I'm not gonna hang my ass off airplanes like that,' Pitt joked to E! News AUearlier this month, referencing Cruise's famous stunts. 'So when he does something again that's on the ground,' he clarified, suggesting he'd be along for the ride.
F1: The Movie is set to hit theaters in the U.S. on Friday, June 27.

Apple's F1 laps its competition with a $144 million opening weekend

Apple's film studio finally has a successful summer blockbuster to its name with its latest sports drama flick starring Brad Pitt. F1 the Movie saw an opening weekend that earned $144 million globally and $55.6 million domestically, according to Comscore numbers. Apple Original Films' feature beat out other highly anticipated releases like the live-action remake, How to Train Your Dragon , and the third installment in the post-apocalyptic horror film series, 28 Years Later. The action-drama movie follows Pitt's character, Sonny Hayes, who's tapped to support an up-and-coming Formula One driver. With reports of the film costing up to $300 million to produce and market, F1 the Movie was a risky venture for Apple, considering the lackluster performances with its other films' opening weekends like Argylle and Fly Me to the Moon . However, Apple's film studio gamble paid off since the opening weekend numbers for F1 the Movie shattered its previous records and is projected to continue its momentum. Despite the early success, Apple may have inadvertently soured some of its users on the movie, thanks to shoving an advertisement for F1 the Movie into its Wallet app.

Oasis fans being charged £480 per night to CAMP in a garden near Heaton Park

A 'pop-up campsite' was charging gig-goes an eyewatering £480 per night to camp in a garden near Heaton Park during Oasis' string of shows. The Prestwich home, which regularly advertises its garden on AirBnB around events at the beauty spot, asked punters to stump up more than it would cost to spend the night at luxury hotel Dakota while Oasis play on July 11. In return for their near-£500 spend, Oasis fans would receive secure camping space for four guests, parking for a vehicle, and access to loos and showers, according to the listing. In the description on its listing, 'superhost' Winston wrote: "Heaton Park Festival Campsite is a pop up campsite which opens for specific events in Heaton Park. "It provides a safe and comfortable space for guests to camp, right by the side of Heaton Park. The site is located within a secure walled garden of an 18th century Old Vicarage. "Access to the festival is approximately 10 minutes walk from the camp site. The price paid includes: Secure camping space for 4 guests (4 person tent provided by the guest), Secure parking for 1 vehicle, Posh loos, Shower." AirBnB later confirmed the listing had been removed from the platform 'in line with their policies' and was no longer available to book. The booking website said the average price of nights booked across all of the Oasis tour dates in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin is around £200 per night on average - a stark contrast to the £480 offered by the 'campsite'. Hosts of AirBnB rentals also determine and set their prices themselves, which must be agreed to by guests before they book. The Gallagher brothers are returning to Heaton Park on Friday 11, Saturday 12, Wednesday 16, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July. It comes after Research by Wonderwallets, part of the Barclays Consumer Spend report, revealed that fans of the Manchester-born band are expected to shell out more than £1bn of the reunion tour including tickets, travel, accommodation and merchandise. The data predicts each individual gig-goer will spend around £800 to attend the historic concerts. --- Day in day out, our reporters in the Manchester Evening News newsroom bring you remarkable stories from all aspects of Mancunian life.
