Angel Reese Lands Legendary Cover Over Caitlin Clark, WNBA Stars
Angel Reese has added yet another incredible achievement to her resume this Wednesday.
On Tuesday night, Reese learned that she'll team up with Napheesa Collier for her second All-Star appearance. They'll square off against Caitlin Clark and her star-studded supporting cast.

Less than 24 hours later, Reese showed off her signature sneaker with Reebok. She also revealed that she's this year's cover athlete for the WNBA Edition of NBA 2K26. That's quite the achievement for the second-year star from LSU.
"Being on the cover of NBA 2K26 and debuting my first-ever signature shoe with Reebok on thatcover, the Angel Reese 1, is more than a milestone — it's a statement," Reese said. "It's about representation and showing young girls they can be confident, bold, and take up space unapologetically."
The WNBA edition of NBA 2K has featured a legendary athlete on the cover over the years, such as Candace Parker, Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi. Last year's game had A'ja Wilson on the cover.

"To be cemented in NBA 2K history is a special honor that reflects not only my journey, but also all the veteran WNBA players who have paved the way before me and the growing impact of the league as a whole," Reese added.
As you'd imagine, WNBA fans had a lot to say about Reese's accomplishment.
"Online haters work hard but Angel Reese and her team work HARDER," one fan said. "2K26 cover in her signature shoe that she just unveiled today might I add I love good marketing."
"Angel Reese making the 2K cover before Caitlin Clark is a lowkey flex on her part," a second fan wrote.
"She's the face of the league," another fan declared.

NBA 2K26 will be released on Sept. 5, so fans won't have to wait too much longer to get their hands on it.

But the Lakers also need to plan for life without James. While the future Hall of Famer continues to play at a high level, he doesn't have many years left in the NBA. Even if the Lakers want to keep him around, the team can't really plan to have James for the long haul given his age. In a letter obtained by Golf Digest, club president John Lynch informed members that Clark is not allowed on the property and that he can be reinstated if he fulfills certain requirements, like paying for the damage, making a charitable contribution and attending "counseling and/or anger management sessions." 'Several of you have inquired about the situation involving Wyndham Clark and the steps being taken in response to his recent behavior. Following multiple discussions with the USGA and the OCC Board, a decision has been made that Mr. Clark will no longer be permitted on OCC property. "This decision will remain in effect unless formally reconsidered and approved by the Board.
