Marks & Spencer's 'stylish' £50 bubble hem dress garners 'so many compliments'
Marks & Spencer is back taking online orders after the cyber attack, and as always, their current spring/summer collection is filled with stylish and elevated pieces that will really up your fashion game. One dress in particular that caught our eye was the Pure Cotton Bubble Hem Midaxi Dress.
With summer basically here, plus the races and weddings looming, finding the perfect dress you can wear to these different occasions is no mean feat, but we think this midaxi is the versatile summer dress to get your hands one. And at £49.50, this dress definitely isn't breaking the bank.
Combining two trends in one, this black dress features a stylish bubble hem detail, as well as a flattering drop waist. Despite featuring more micro-trendy elements, the sleek black colour and classic silhouette mean this dress will last in your wardrobe for years to come.
To style this midaxi, we suggest keeping it simple with a pair of gold or silver mules (depending on which you prefer), and a matching clutch or grab bag, and minimalist jewellery. Additionally, if you're more of a maximalist, you could team leopard or zebra print accessories to make the look pop.
We're not the only ones who are loving this versatile dress, shoppers are already leaving their reviews, praising the piece for its high quality and flattering fit. One shopper wrote: "Couldn't resist this dress despite having to try on several sizes before finding best fit (it's on the small side). The design quality becomes apparent once on with a drop waist, great if you are tall and long in the body, and the bubble hem. It's also nicely lined and the cut out back still enables you to wear a bra. Please continue to provide such design quality please M&S."
While a second shared how the dress got them heaps of compliments when they wore it. They added: "So many compliments wearing this dress. The dress is beautiful, I felt really nice in it, and lots and lots of women asked me where it was from."
As briefly mentioned above, a few people criticised the sizing of the dress, claiming it runs rather small, so we suggest sizing up from your usual size, especially if you are in between.
If black isn't your thing, we think we've found another stylish but low-key summer occasion dress you can wear to every event. The Butter Yellow Puff Sleeve Zola Midi Dress, £120, from Nobody's Child is in one of the biggest colour trends of the year, butter yellow. This stylish midi features a flattering empire waistline, which can help to balance the silhouette and elongate the torso.

Give your kids an immersive dino experience as Jurassic Earth comes to Scotland
The show stars a giant T-Rex, triceratops, brontosaurus, and other lifelike dinosaurs like spinosaurs, velociraptors, and baby dinos As Glasgow continues to embrace dinosaur fever this summer, a prehistoric spectacle is gearing up to storm into Braehead Arena for the September weekend, promising a jaw-dropping experience for families. The hit show Jurassic Earth is set to take over the arena on Friday, September 27, bringing lifelike animatronic dinosaurs to the stage for a thrilling 75-minute interactive adventure, Glasgow Live reports. Two performances will take place on the day, at 12 noon and 3pm, with tickets now available through the Braehead Arena website. Featuring an extraordinary cast of creatures, the show includes a 22-foot-long, 14-foot-tall walking Tyrannosaurus Rex, reportedly the largest in the world, alongside an 18-foot triceratops, a towering 26-foot brontosaurus, and a range of other species. Dinosaur fans can also expect to meet characters like Spencer and Stevo the spinosaurs, Rocky and Richie the velociraptors, Dash the carnotaurus, Tank the triceratops and a host of baby dinosaurs. The show promises up-close encounters, audience participation, songs, dances and even dinosaur ranger training for the younger crowd. Russ Smith, CEO of Braehead Arena, said the upcoming event is a perfect fit for the venue's future vision. 'We have big plans here at Braehead Arena so what better way to kick them off than with the biggest show of all – literally,' he said. 'These dinosaurs are incredible, I saw the show with my kids and they loved it so it was something I definitely wanted to bring to the arena. 'Apparently space is sometimes an issue for the larger dinos so this is the perfect venue – we certainly don't have any concerns on that front so let's go BIG. 'We want to be everything to everyone here at Braehead Arena, so this amazing modern marvel of a show is perfect for us… you'll have a roaring good time.' At the centre of the action is Ranger Danger, the audience's guide through the experience. Children will take part in a special training session to prepare them in case of an unexpected dinosaur escape, all part of the immersive fun. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Organisers say the event offers a great way to 'keep the kids occupied and burn off a LOT of energy to make the September bank holiday fun for parents too'. Jurassic Earth adds to the wave of dinosaur-themed events sweeping Glasgow this summer, following on from the popular Lost Kingdom trail and exhibitions throughout the city.

Piers Morgan's ex wife 'fighting for her life' following freak accident
Piers Morgan's son Spencer shared an update from hospital Piers Morgan 's wife was left fighting for her life following a freak accident. The former couple's son Spencer posted photos from hospital of himself alongside his mum. Sharing with his followers what happened to his mum, Spencer explained how she had a freak accident several months ago, writes The Mirror. He wrote on Instagram: "Seven months ago our mum was involved in a freak accident which left her fighting for her life… We were told on more than one occasion that there was little hope if any but against all odds she hung on in there and thanks to the two heroic surgeons in the third pic and countless others at @chelwestft she left hospital today after 218 days on the ward.' He went on: "The staff labelled her a minor miracle but they are the miracle workers. My family are eternally grateful for their incredible work. Never give up." However, he didn't explain exactly what happened. In the photos, Marion could be seen in a green dress as she stood in between two of her children, Spencer and Bertie, in a hospital ward. In another she stood between doctors. Spencer also shared the moment that she left hospital to nurses clapping her as she walked through the ward doors. And another snap showed Marion walking out of hospital main doors while using a crutch and having her son at her side. Many of Spencer's followers and friends flocked to the comments to send Marion well wishes. Among those sending their best wishes was Denise Welch, who simply sent five red love heart emojis. Piers' former Good Morning Britain co-presenter Susanna Reid also commented: "The best news," along with a love heart emoji. And George Lineker, son of former Match of the Day host Gary Lineker, penned: "Buzzing for you all." Marion and Piers were married between 1991 and 2008. They share sons Albert, Stanley, and Spencer together. After they split, Piers went on to marry Celia Walden and they welcomed daughter Elise in 2011. Despite their split, Piers remained fiercely protective of his ex wife. Speaking to the Daily Mail in 2009, he explained their divorce had been a "pretty horrendous experience". "The day Marion and I got divorced, I said, 'You know what? We can both go away feeling awful about this, but let's never mention it again'," he said. He also admitted his ex had supported his Good Morning Britain exit. And he added of their good terms: "I don't regret it because these things happen, but I'm pleased that we've stayed good friends, because it's important for your kids. "I produced three fantastic children with my ex-wife. The best advice I ever got was to speak to them every day - that's when you need your ex to be very accommodating. "I've spoken to my kids, with just a handful of exceptions, every day in the last nine years." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
