Officials here said that during routine searches, security forces busted a hideout in Thanamandi area.
They said that the joint team of police, SOG and army recovered 48 rounds of Pika gun, give pistol rounds, AK-47 round, IED material, a t-shirt and a tear gas from the hideout.

Police find missing man in Balrampur
Kanpur: Police successfully rescued a missing man from Bharthana area of Etawah. The man, missing since June 28, was held captive by unidentified miscreants in Balrampur. The victims was found with wounds on his face and a cloth tied around his mouth. The victim was unable to provide comprehensive details about the incident. One Sheela Devi lodged a missing case for son Manish at Bharthana police station on June 28. During police investigation, the surveillance and SOG teams received information regarding the victim's location. Following the lead, the police team travelled to Balrampur. On Monday, the police force carried out a search operation in Balrampur and located the victim. He was found under the influence of alcohol, with facial injuries and his mouth tied with cloth. The team left Balrampur with the rescued person on Monday night and arrived in Etawah on Tuesday morning. SSP Brijesh Kumar Srivastava confirmed the registration of a missing person case on a complaint filed by the mother of Manish. The SSP said that the victim was in inebriated condition and couldn't provide any information about the kidnappers. TN cracker factory explosion: Six killed, 5 critically injured
Chennai, July 1 (UNI) Six people, including a woman, were charred to death and five others critically injured in a major explosion at a fireworks manufacturing factory at Chinnakamanpatti near Sattur town in Virudhunagar district, about 540-km south of city, today. Police and Revenue officials identified the deceased as R Mahalingam (55), C Sellapandiyan, Lakshmi Karupasamy, R Ramamurthy (38), K Ramajayam (27) and G Vairamani (32). The injured, including a woman, have been admitted to the Sivakasi Government Hospital and the Madurai Rajaji Government Hospital. According to sources, the deceased as well as the injured were engaged in cracker manufacturing works in the morning when the explosion occurred at the private fireworks factory. Four concrete roofed rooms of the factory were heavily damaged, and smoke engulfed the surrounding area. On receiving information of the incident, Fire and Rescue Service Personnel rushed to the spot and put out the fire and retrieved the bodies of the victims and rescued the injured stuck under the debris. The Sattur Town police have registered a case and have arrested the foreman of the factory for further investigation. Expressing shock and grief over the tragic deaths in the explosion, Chief Minister M K Stalin has offered his condolences to the bereaved. He also announced a solatium of Rs four lakh each to families of the deceased and Rs one lakh each to the injured. The Virudhunagar district, a backward rain-shadow region, in southern Tamil Nadu is a hub of fireworks manufacturing units and frequent mishaps claim a heavy toll on human lives. A majority of the people depend upon employment at these cracker manufacturing units. UNI XC SS

Quack held for operating clinic in Changodar
Ahmedabad: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Ahmedabad Rural police on Monday arrested a man for practising allopathic medicine without a valid medical degree in Dholeshwarnagar on the Changodar-Tajpur Road. Acting on a tip-off, the SOG team detained Biswajeet Ghosh, aged around 40 years, who was operating a clinic and administering allopathic medicines and injections without any recognized medical qualification or registration with the Gujarat Medical Council. During the raid, cops seized allopathic medicines, injections, and medical equipment worth Rs 27,403 from the premises. A case has been registered against Ghosh at Changodar police station under Section 30 of the Gujarat Medical Practitioners Act, 1963, according to a release issued by Ahmedabad Rural police.
