The club serves only vegan food in the players' canteen and to fans on match days.
And Robbie, 50, says he has aligned with the club's stance and has given up eating meat and replaced dairy with oat milk.
The ex-Leicester City and Derby County star won his first pre-season game, beating Slimbridge 3-0, and is determined to get his team, based near Stroud, Gloucs, back to the football league.
He added of the Cotswolds: 'It's a beautiful place, though I have a little French bulldog and I'm not sure her legs will get over the hills, I'll have to carry her.'
Meanwhile, the club's owner, eco-warrior Dale Vince, has been told he needs permission to fly a giant Palestinian flag hoisted on his firm's HQ - as it is not recognised as a country.
The Ecotricity boss was ordered to get planning consent for the banner, which has been hung from his offices in Stroud, Glos.
Vince, who owns Forest Green Rovers, said: 'We are flying the flag out of solidarity with Palestinian people.
"The council got in touch and said 'Oh, you can't actually fly that flag without planning permission because Palestine is not recognised by the British government'."

Viktor Gyokeres says Ruben Amorim's style ‘suits me perfectly' despite snubbing Man Utd for Arsenal transfer

VIKTOR GYOKERES reckons Ruben Amorim's football suits him perfectly, despite trying to force through a move to Mikel Arteta's Arsenal side over Manchester United this summer. Gyokeres, 27, appears to be on the brink of sealing a switch to the Emirates after the Gunners have been locked in advanced talks with Sporting Lisbon this week. 3 3 Man Utd had been interested in the deadly striker with boss Amorim formerly in charge of Sporting during Gyokeres' blistering form over the past two campaigns. But Gyokeres now has his heart set on Arsenal, reportedly even deciding to waive almost £2million of his future salary to help boost Arsenal's bid to Sporting and threatening to go on strike at his current club to make the move happen. With the transfer now coming closer to completion, Arsenal fans will be shocked to learn that Gyokeres had told French outlet L'Equipe that Amorim's football fits his style of play perfectly. The Swedish striker said: "We won two championships in a row, for the first time in 71 years. It's an incredible achievement, and of course, Ruben Amorim played a big role in that. 'I can't thank him enough. The style of play we had under his orders suited me perfectly.' Under Amorim's guidance, Gyokeres scored an astonishing 66 goals and registered 23 assists in 68 games. However, Arsenal fans need not worry that their incoming frontman won't be able to find the back of the net, with Gyokeres still putting up 31 goals and 12 assists in the 34 games that followed Amorim's exit from Sporting. Arsenal and Sporting still remain in negotiations over a fee for Gyokeres as the Portuguese champions hold out for their £68.9m asking price. SunSport understands that the Gunners are still £4.3m away from Sporting's demands of £60.3m up front and £8.6m in add-ons following face-to-face meetings in Lisbon. But personal terms with Gyokeres are already in place on a five-year deal with Mikel Arteta 's title-chasing side. There is thought to be optimism that an agreement can be reached but, as SunSport reported earlier, Gyokeres will consider a loan move away from Sporting should the deal fall through. It comes after Gyokeres told Sporting he will never play for them again in an attempt to push the deal through, and will boycott pre-season training, which begins on Friday. 3

Tottenham overhaul their medical department AGAIN in another summer of change - as Thomas Frank's side make two key appointments

Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to overhaul their staff – with the club's medical department the latest to undergo major surgery. In April, Mail Sport reported that Ange Postecoglou was likely to leave at the end of the season, regardless of whether the club won the Europa League, as part of a major, cross-departmental summer restructure. And, with the Australian subsequently replaced by Brentford 's Thomas Frank, Spurs continue to ring the changes. Following a horrendous season with injuries, Adam Brett and Nick Davies have now departed. While Mail Sport understands that Davies, head of sports science, is set to rejoin David Moyes at Everton having worked with him at West Ham United, director of performance services Brett appears to have shouldered the blame for a campaign blighted by the lack of availability of a series of key players. Two new starters have arrived from Brentford, in the shape of Nick Stubbings and Tom Perryman. However, it is understood that they are not like-for-like replacements. Stubbings will be the medical lead and Perryman the head of strength of conditioning. Replacements for Brett and Davies will be sought. Last month, Joe Newton, Justin Cochrane and Chris Haslam followed Frank from the Gtech Community Stadium to join the coaching staff. Upstairs, the highly-regarded ex-Arsenal official Vinai Venkatesham has stepped in as Tottenham's new chief executive while long-serving executive Donna-Maria Cullen stepped down. Chief football officer Scott Munn also departed after two years with the club. The Australian led a previous review that ended with the exit of long-serving head of medicine Geoff Scott last year – a move which appeared to backfire spectacularly.
