Valerie the dachshund reunited with owners after 540 days

The last time Georgia Gardner saw her miniature dachshund, Valerie, the dog cut a slight figure, barely 6in tall and weighing 8lb. Her pet's existence consisted of toys, treats and getting wrapped up in a little pink jumper with matching collar and lead when the weather turned cold. Then Valerie disappeared into the wilderness of an Australian island.
After 540 days of separation, Gardner has finally been reunited with her beloved pet, who is now 4lb heavier — a muscular and stocky dog who no longer fits into her pink harness.
'It was absolutely incredible,' said Gardner, 24, describing the moment she and her boyfriend, Josh Fishlock, 25, saw their elusive sausage dog in the flesh for the first time since she escaped from their

MAFS superfan Cara Delevingne messaged show star she's ‘obsessed' with after explosive row with ex husband aired

BRIT model Cara Delevingne is 'obsessed' with Married At First Sight Australia's standout star Jamie Marinos - and slid into her DMs to tell her. The reality star, 29, was a huge hit with British fans, with around a million tuning in most nights on E4 to watch her dish out no-nonsense, hard-hitting advice to fellow contestants. Many more viewers caught up on streaming. 5 5 5 Jamie was heralded as a 'voice of reason' during explosive dinner party bust ups that left multiple contestants - including Jamie - in floods of tears. But the reality star is buoyed by the support of the public, and her new A List fans. Jamie says: 'Cara Delevingne actually slid into my DMs and she still follows me. 'I should have this message printed and hung up somewhere, she messaged me: 'Obsessed with you!' 'I hope she was screaming at the TV - and I hope she was just as pissed off at my ex-husband as I was.' Jamie was left shocked and heartbroken when she told her husband Dave Hand that she had fallen in love with him, only to be told her feelings were no longer reciprocated. The couple still confirmed their vows at the end of the series, but their marriage had ended by the time the cast got together for a reunion. She says she endured a traumatic 'public humiliation', and she and Dave no longer speak. Cara, 32, has endured her own relationship dramas, having previously been linked to Harry Styles, singer St. Vincent, actress Ashley Benson. She told last year how one 'really horrible breakup' left her so distraught, she had to move in with pal Taylor Swift, telling Interview magazine: 'She looked after me so well." But Cara has happily been in a relationship with singer Leah Mason, known as Minke, since 2022. Jamie said she got through her hurt by 'trauma dumping into ChatGPT', as she says she appreciates the AI system's lack of judgement. Married At First Sight's Awhina breaks silence on Billy romance after pair went 'Instagram official' In a shock to viewers, since the show, she has also briefly dated another of the show's grooms, Eliot Donovan, who was married to two brides during the series. Jamie now says she could potentially see a future together - though their romance proved tricky as they live in different states in Australia. Jamie says: 'Of course I potentially could see a future with Eliot. We do have a really beautiful friendship - there are a lot of qualities that I would want in a future partner, and I think vice versa. 'We do have a lot of respect for each other but I also think there's probably characteristics that we'd want that we might not have in each other… 'I'm an intense person in a romantic relationship. I love hard and I'm not too sure if that's the kind of intensity that is in Eliot. 'I think this whole experience made me realise that just because they're better than the previous person, doesn't mean they're the person I am supposed to be with. 'I think that's my problem - I try to fit them in the mould. But this time, I'm so close to settling and being unhappy and not having my needs met, that I want to make sure I'm making the right decision the next time round.' But she is open to dating again, adding: "The only romantic interest I've had since Dave has been Eliot so it's been a very, very quiet time - I'm trying to break that habit." Jamie has been approached to appear on other TV shows, and would like to "dip into the cookie jar" of acting, next, too. While in the UK, she has hung out with Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and Taken's Liam Neeson at the Naked Gun premiere in London and appeared on ITV Daytime's Lorraine. 5

The very surprising short-odds favourite to win this year's coveted Gold Logie is revealed

A surprise frontrunner has emerged in the race to take out the coveted Gold Logie at this year's TV WEEK Logie Awards. Beloved Home and Away star Lynne McGranger, 72, is now the clear favourite to win Australian television's top prize, after a wave of public support and sentimental backing for her 33-year run as Irene Roberts on the long-running soap. According to betting giant Sportsbet, McGranger has stormed into the lead with odds of just $1.37 – far ahead of her nearest rivals. She's now well ahead of A Current Affair's Ally Langdon ($5.00), LEGO Masters host Hamish Blake ($8.50), ABC presenter Lisa Millar ($10.00), and comedian Julia Morris ($11.00). Meanwhile, MasterChef Australia star Poh Ling Yeow sits at $13.00, while 2023 Gold Logie winner Sonia Kruger has blown out to $17.00. The veteran actress, who earlier this year announced her departure from Home and Away, is being widely tipped to take home the Gold as a touching send-off from viewers - and it's not just fans backing her in. 'My son-in-law messaged me when the news broke about the Gold Logie. He said, "I just got you at $3.50 - I put $100 on you". Then he said, 'That's ridiculous... your odds should be much shorter than that!' she told Perth Now. 'But then within a week, I was $1.70, so now he is very chuffed. If I have to get up and make a speech, I'll make it known publicly he just made $350 off me!' McGranger first appeared on the long-running soap in 1993 and has played Irene Roberts for over three decades. Her exit storyline, which sees her character diagnosed with Alzheimer's, is currently unfolding on-screen and has struck an emotional chord with viewers. 'It's humbling and really overwhelming to even be nominated,' McGranger said. 'If I had known this was going to happen, I would have left years ago! But in all seriousness, I am loving the ride.' The veteran actress will be joined by her daughter Clancy at Sunday's ceremony in Sydney. According to Sportsbet, McGranger has stormed into the lead with odds of just $1.37 – far ahead of her nearest rivals At the ceremony, beloved rocker Jimmy Barnes is set to take the stage at The Star Sydney on August 3, bringing four decades of fan-favourite hits to Aussie ears. Jimmy, who has 21 number-one albums under his belt as well as a place in the ARIA Hall of Fame, revealed he couldn't wait to 'get the party jumping' at the annual awards ceremony. 'I am excited about playing at the Logies, television's big night of nights,' the 69-year-old said. 'It will be great to celebrate all the fantastic talent we have in Australian television, and to play some rock'n'roll music to get the party jumping.' The Aussie icon will be joined by the likes of Kitty Flanagan, Hamish Blake and Leigh Sales, who are just a few of the presenters expected to wow the crowd. It has also been revealed that Sam Pang will host the event for the third time. Sam's cheeky and irreverent comedy as host last year and in 2023 proved to be a big hit with audiences and TV's A-list, as well as a major ratings winner for Seven. 'It's been an honour to host the last two years. I'm looking forward to again celebrating the talented people and amazing shows that combine to make the Aussie TV industry something everyone can be proud of,' Sam told The Herald Sun. The ceremony will be available to watch from 7:00pm on Sunday, August 3 on Seven and 7Plus. 65th TV WEEK LOGIE AWARDS NOMINATIONS TV WEEK GOLD LOGIE – Most Popular Personality on Australian Television Ally Langdon - A Current Affair, The Olympic Games Paris 2024, 9Network Hamish Blake - LEGO Masters Australia, 9Network Julia Morris - I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Network 10 Lisa Millar - Back Roads, ABC News Breakfast, Muster Dogs: Where Are They Now, Muster Dogs: Collies & Kelpies, ABC Lynne McGranger - Home and Away, Seven Network Poh Ling Yeow - MasterChef Australia, Network 10 Sonia Kruger - The Voice, Dancing With The Stars, Logies Red Carpet Show, Seven Network Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter Hamish Blake - LEGO Masters Australia, 9Network Julia Morris - I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Network 10 Ricki-Lee - Australian Idol, Seven Network Sonia Kruger - The Voice, Dancing With The Stars, Logies Red Carpet Show, Seven Network Todd Woodbridge - Tipping Point Australia, Australian Open, The Olympic Games Paris 2024, Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, 9Network Zan Rowe - Take 5 With Zan Rowe, ABC New Year's Eve, ABC Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent Guy Montgomery - Guy Montgomery's Guy Mont Spelling Bee, ABC Hailey Pinto - Home and Away, Seven Network Jenny Tian - Taskmaster Australia, Network 10 Kate Miller-Heidke - The Voice, Seven Network Kylah Day - Territory, Netflix Sofia Levin - MasterChef Australia, Network 10 Ray Martin Award for Most Popular News or Public Affairs Presenter Ally Langdon - A Current Affair, 9Network David Speers - Insiders, ABC Michael Usher - 7NEWS, 7NEWS Spotlight, Seven Network Peter Overton - 9News, 9Network Sarah Ferguson - 7.30, ABC Tara Brown - 60 Minutes, Dangerous Lies: Unmasking Belle Gibson, 9Network TV WEEK SILVER LOGIE – Best Lead Actor in a Drama Lloyd Griffith - Return To Paradise, ABC Michael Dorman - Territory, Netflix Robert Taylor - Territory, Netflix Sam Corlett - Territory, Netflix Sam Neill - The Twelve, BINGE / FOXTEL Tai Hara - Return To Paradise, ABC TV WEEK SILVER LOGIE – Best Lead Actress in a Drama Alycia Debnam-Carey - Apple Cider Vinegar, Netflix Anna Samson - Return To Paradise, ABC Anna Torv - Territory, Netflix Ayesha Madon - Heartbreak High, Netflix Kaitlyn Dever - Apple Cider Vinegar, Netflix Lynne McGranger - Home and Away, Seven Network TV WEEK SILVER LOGIE – Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Aaron Chen - Fisk, ABC Ben Miller - Austin, ABC Clancy Brown - Good Cop/Bad Cop, Stan Luke Cook - Good Cop/Bad Cop, Stan Michael Theo - Austin, ABC Patrick Brammall - Colin From Accounts, BINGE / FOXTEL TV WEEK SILVER LOGIE – Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Harriet Dyer - Colin From Accounts, BINGE / FOXTEL Jenna Owen - Nugget is Dead: A Christmas Story, Stan Kitty Flanagan - Fisk, ABC Leighton Meester - Good Cop/Bad Cop, Stan Sally Phillips, Austin - ABC Vic Zerbst - Nugget is Dead: A Christmas Story, Stan TV WEEK SILVER LOGIE – Best Supporting Actor Ashley Zukerman - Apple Cider Vinegar, Netflix Darren Gilshenan - Colin From Accounts, BINGE / FOXTEL Glenn Butcher - Fisk, ABC Mark Coles Smith - Apple Cider Vinegar, Netflix Matt Nable - Apple Cider Vinegar, Netflix Sam Delich - Territory, Netflix TV WEEK SILVER LOGIE – Best Supporting Actress Aisha Dee - Apple Cider Vinegar, Netflix Chloé Hayden - Heartbreak High, Netflix Julia Zemiro - Fisk, ABC Marg Downey - The Newsreader, ABC Michelle Lim Davidson - The Newsreader, ABC Tilda Cobham-Hervey - Apple Cider Vinegar, Netflix Best Drama Program Bump - Stan Heartbreak High - Netflix Return To Paradise - ABC Territory - Netflix The Newsreader - ABC The Twelve - BINGE / FOXTEL Best Miniseries or Telemovie Apple Cider Vinegar - Netflix Critical Incident - Stan Fake - Paramount+ How To Make Gravy - BINGE / FOXTEL Human Error - 9Network Plum - ABC Best Entertainment Program ABC New Year's Eve - ABC Australian Idol - Seven Network Countdown 50 Years On - ABC Dancing With The Stars - Seven Network The Voice - Seven Network Vision Australia's Carols by Candlelight - 9Network Best Current Affairs Program 60 Minutes - 9Network 7.30 - ABC 7NEWS Spotlight - Seven Network A Current Affair - 9Network Australian Story - ABC Four Corners - ABC Best Scripted Comedy Program Austin - ABC Colin From Accounts - BINGE / FOXTEL Fisk - ABC Good Cop/Bad Cop - Stan Melbourne International Comedy Festival - ABC Optics - ABC Best Comedy Entertainment Program Gruen - ABC Hard Quiz - ABC Have You Been Paying Attention? Bachelorette star Lee Elliott seen moving out of marital home he shared with ex Georgia Love - as he's seen gathering belongings after split

Lee Elliott was all business on Saturday as he moved out of the Melbourne home he once shared with ex Georgia Love. The couple, who fell in love on the 2016 season of The Bachelorette, announced their split in May following months of speculation. But things were made official over the weekend as Lee, 43, arrived at their marital home in his work ute while wearing moving clothes. Rugging up against a chilly Melbourne morning, Lee wore a navy-blue hooded jacket over a similarly coloured T-shirt. He also wore a pair of mauve shorts and sensible white sneakers with matching socks. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. While Georgia, 35, was nowhere to be seen, Lee wasn't taking on the task solo, with a large moving van seen in the driveway. Lee was spotted carrying armfuls of collared shirts and jackets, still on their hangers, to his car. While Lee appeared in a relatively chipper mood as he gathered his belongings, it seems he became emotional at one point. He was seen accepting a consoling embrace from a pal who had shown up to help the former reality star move. It's certainly the end of an era, with the former couple's four-bedroom home in Hampton East going under the hammer in June. Their property passed in at $1.53 million after being listed with $1.5 million to $1.58 million price expectations. However, post-auction negotiations ended with the sale of the home for an undisclosed amount. Lee and Georgia, who first met on the 2016 season of The Bachelorette, announced their separation with identical posts to Instagram in May. While Georgia was nowhere to be seen, Lee wasn't taking on the task solo, with a large moving van seen in the driveway 'After nine wonderful years together, including four as husband and wife, [we] have made the incredibly difficult decision to lovingly part ways,' they wrote. 'Our relationship has been so special, and we will always cherish the memories, love, and laughter we've shared. 'There is no drama, no bad blood. Just two people who have grown in different directions while still holding deep respect and care for each other. 'We remain friends, and we'd really appreciate our privacy as we navigate this next stage. Thank you.'
