Suzuki e-Access first ride impressions: Can it pose a threat to TVS iQube?
Suzuki showcased its first electric two-wheeler at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The e-Access is the brand's first foray into the electric mobility segment. While the name of the new scooter is borrowed from the Access 125, the new electric scooter is not just an electric counterpart of the ICE version. There is a whole lot of new with the e-Access. Suzuki invited us to Bangalore, where we got to take a short test ride of the new electric scooter at a go-kart track.

After a slight delay owing to the geopolitical unrest in the country last month, Classic Legends has launched the 2025 Yezdi Adventure in India with prices starting at ₹ 2.15 lakh (ex-showroom). There are six colour options available, with the most expensive priced at ₹ 2.27 lakh (ex-showroom), and the manufacturer has opened bookings for the motorbike. The updated Yezdi Adventure arrives with a host of changes, most notable of which is the new design language. The new face not only gives the model its own identity but also comes with new features.

Hyundai has introduced a new variant for its Verna sedan, the SX+. The new Hyundai Verna SX+ is priced starting at ₹ 13.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The new SX+ variant of the sedan will be offered only with the 1.5 MPi engine mated with either of two transmission options, a manual and an iVT. The higher spec iVT variant is priced at a premium to the manual at ₹ 15.04 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Harrier EV production commences in India, deliveries to begin this month
The new Tata Harrier EV will reach dealerships soon with deliveries set to begin later this month Check Offers Tata Motors has commenced series production of the new Harrier EV at its Pune facility in Maharashtra. The new Tata Harrier EV is the brand's new flagship electric offering and is priced between ₹ 21.49 lakh and ₹ 30.23 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant. Tata says it has received an 'overwhelmingly market response" and has a robust booking pipeline for the new Harrier EV. The model will start arriving at dealerships soon while deliveries are set to begin later this month. Tata Harrier EV Production Begins The new Tata Harrier EV is based on the architecture, an optimised version of the same platform as the ICE version. The electric SUV is available in Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Quad-Wheel Drive (QWD) configurations. Check details Tata claims a real-world range between 420 km and 490 km on the Harrier EV, depending on the variant and battery pack Tata Harrier EV: Power, Battery & Range The Tata Harrier EV RWD variants get the single motor churning out 235 bhp and 315 Nm, while the QWD dual-motor setup produces 391 bhp and 504 Nm of peak torque. The SUV is available with two battery options. The lower variants get the 65 kWh battery pack offering 538 km (MIDC) on a single charge. The higher variants get the 75 kWh battery pack with a range of 627 km (RWD) and 622 km (QWD) on full charge, according to MIDC testing. Tata Harrier EV: Features On the feature front, the Harrier EV is packed to the gills with a digital console, a Samsung Neo QLED display from Harman, Dolby Atmos sound system, and a 540-degree surround view system minimising blind-spots while parking. The model also gets a digital IRVM and even a transparent feature that allows you to look beneath the vehicle, when tackling rough roads. The Harrier EV gets a feature-packed cabin with a host of as well as connected systems, and infotaiment tech The Harrier EV is available in four colours - Nainital Nocturne, Empowered Oxide, Pristine White, and Pure Grey. Bellad seeks electric buses under PM's e-Drive scheme to North Karnataka cities
(You can now subscribe to our (You can now subscribe to our Economic Times WhatsApp channel Deputy leader of Opposition in the assembly Arvind Bellad (BJP) has written to Union Heavy Industries Minister HD Kumaraswamy urging him to allocate electric buses under the PM's e-Drive scheme to North Karnataka cities like Hubballi-Dharwad , Belagavi, Kalaburagi, Ballari and Bengaluru has rightly received 4,500 e-buses, other regions also deserve attention. These cities have growing transport needs, existing KSRTC infrastructure, and in some cases BRT systems—making them ready for an efficient e-bus rollout, Bellad, who represents Hubballi-Dharwad West in the assembly, has said in his letter. Such a move will reduce regional disparities, curb emissions, create local jobs, and boost the EV ecosystem in underserved areas. A more balanced approach to green mobility will ensure true inclusive development across Karnataka, the BJP leader has had, in May, announced that Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Surat cities will get 10,900 brand new electric buses under the PM's e-Drive Scheme over the next two PM e-Drive initiative aims to deploy 14,028 electric buses with a total financial outlay of Rs 10,900 crore over a two-year period from April 2024 to March 2026. The scheme represents one of the world's largest national efforts to electrify public transport at scale.
