Jack Osbourne's 10 words of comfort to sister Kelly at Ozzy's funeral
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's son, Jack, reportedly whispered 10 comforting words to his sister, Kelly, during the procession down Broad Street in Birmingham for the Black Sabbath star's funeral. The Prince of Darkness died aged 76 on July 22, just weeks after performing his farewell concert.
Huge crowds of fans took to the streets of the singer's hometown on July 30 to pay their respects. Meanwhile, his family accompanied the procession in a car.
In moving scenes, the procession stopped outside the Black Sabbath bridge, where the frontman's wife and children stepped out of their cars to lay down roses wrapped in black paper among the sea of tributes left by fans. It comes as Sharon Osbourne broke down in tears at Ozzy's funeral in heartbreaking scenes.
As she broke down in tears, Sharon was comforted by children Jack, Kelly and Amiee. The grandchildren of Sharon and Ozzy were also close by for the family moment.
Lipreader Nicola Hickling revealed what Jack whispered to sister Kelly in order to comfort her during the emotionally-charged day in Birmingham.
Nicola told The Mirror US, Jack spoke 10 words to his older sister: "Come on now, Dad wanted us to celebrate his life." Jack and Kelly featured in the reality programme, The Osbournes, on MTV in the early 2000s alongside their parents, bringing them into the spotlight.
Sister Aimee didn't want to take part in the show and wanted a private life so left the home at a young age. Sharon moved fans to tears when she emerged during the procession this week.
The music manager and talk show host, who was married to the musician for more than four decades, became emotional as she stepped out of a car to view the hundreds of floral tributes and balloons laid around the Black Sabbath bench.
The former X Factor judge, 72, was helped out of the first vehicle in the cortege by her and Ozzy's son Jack, who joined her at the event along with their daughters Aimee and Kelly – who all raised their hands in a peace sign while paying their respects.
The family members wiped away tears at the bench as they inspected tributes, with members of the crowd shouting 'we love you Ozzy'.
Sharon and her children carried a pink rose, wrapped in black paper tied with a purple ribbon, that they laid on top of the many other floral tributes that sat next to a poster of the star, which said 'Birmingham will always love you'.
Sharon kissed the flower she was holding before laying it in the middle of the tributes.

My dad wants to propose to his young girlfriend — but she's flirting with me
Knowing your mum or dad is out on the dating scene can feel pretty weird— but this week's reader has even more reason to feel uncomfortable. This 21-year-old got in touch because his dad's girlfriend, who is just 29, keeps flirting with him. From inappropriate touches to flirty jokes, he thinks she's crossing a line —but should he tell his dad? Read the advice below and make sure to read last week's column, where one reader is starting to doubt his girlfriend's far-fetched stories. My brother and I were still quite small when our mum sadly died of cancer. Since then, Dad's been involved with a few women but after one moved in and it all ended in disaster, he has tried to keep his love life away from us. However, now that we're adults – my brother 19 and me 21 – he's decided that it's safe to be open about his 'lady friends'. About a year ago, he met a woman at the cycling club he goes to, and in the last six months or so he has started bringing her home. She is only 29, my dad 47, so she's nearer in age to me than him. I've got to be honest – she is fit in every sense of the word. Maybe if I met her in a bar I'd be attracted to her, but she's my father's girlfriend so there's nothing there. I don't look at her in a romantic way. X Factor icon Diana Vickers and Metro's dating expert Alice Giddings dive into your wildest sex, love, and dating dilemmas – every Tuesday. Every time we're alone together, she flirts with me – cracking inappropriate and suggestive jokes, putting her arms round me, rubbing up against me – to the extent that it's embarrassing. She even said recently that if she'd met me before Dad, she would definitely have picked me instead. My dad worships the ground she walks on, and thinks I'm just jealous if I say anything against her. Recently he has talked about popping the question, which is an awful prospect. I definitely don't want her as my step-mother or my dad's wife. Unfortunately, you have no control over the behaviour of your dad's girlfriend, but you do have control over how you respond to her. You really need to have an honest chat with this woman when your dad isn't around, and make it clear that you're not attracted to her – even if that involves a lie. She needs to know where the boundaries are, and that you're the offspring of her partner rather than a potential boyfriend. Tell her you'll speak to your father if her inappropriate behaviour continues. If she really is so thick skinned that she carries on flirting with you, you're going to have to tell your dad. He'll probably be annoyed at first, but I bet he'd rather know than not – especially if he's thinking of proposing. Don't lose your cool – just tell him in a calm, measured way, what has been happening. More Trending This woman is clearly one person to him and another to you, but from what you say, she's not the sort of woman he needs in his life. That said, there's nothing you can do other than tell the truth. After that, it's up to them to sort out. Laura is a counsellor and columnist. Got a sex and dating dilemma? Ozzy Osbourne's cheeky nod to controversial career moment in his final farewell
Black Sabbath star's 'last laugh' with the burial plot on his Buckinghamshire estate Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne has proved just as batty in death as he was in life. The Prince of Darkness has created a light-hearted moment from beyond the grave because his final resting place is surrounded by bat boxes. Heavy metal singer Ozzy caused the most controversy in his colourful career by biting off a bat's head. On Wednesday, thousands of fans in Birmingham paid their respects to Ozzy as his cortege passed through the streets of his home city. The next day, the 76-year-old was laid to rest beside a serene lake in a private ceremony at his Buckinghamshire country estate. Alongside the lake was a giant floral tribute saying: 'Ozzy F***ing Osbourne'. It comes after wife Sharon broke down in tears at Ozzy's funeral in heartbreaking scenes. A family friend said the bat boxes in trees by the lake, installed a few years ago in an estate upgrade, had provided moments of humour as they grieved. The insider said: 'This was like a classic Ozzy move. The man loved humour and this sure would have tickled him pink knowing how close friends reacted to this bat situation. 'After all those decades caught up in this drama around bats and animal rights groups, here at his final resting place there are bespoke bat boxes to help encourage the animals thrive in the UK countryside. It has prompted quite a few laughs and funny reactions. It is just like Ozzy had the last laugh.' Ozzy bit the bat during his Diary of a Madman tour in Des Moines' Veterans Memorial Auditorium in January 1982 thinking it was a toy. The infamous incident outraged animal charities, but cemented his place into rock and roll history as the craziest artist of all time. In 2010 memoir I Am Ozzy, the star insisted that the bat was already dead, but regretted his action after needing daily rabies shots for months. Buckinghamshire has focused on improving the 'conservation of bats and their habitats' and encourages many planning applicants to include bird or bat boxes in schemes. The region is home to many brown-long eared and pipistrelle bats. Ozzy and wife Sharon, 72, spent more than £1million upgrading Welders House estate for their return to the UK in 2023, including a new wing to the mansion, a gym, recording facilities and lift giving the rocker, who had Parkinson's disease, access to the upstairs bedroom. The lake was doubled in size with fish added. Sharon and Ozzy's children – Jack, 39, Kelly, 40, Aimee, 41, and Louis, 50 – were joined by music stars for Thursday's ceremony at the250-acre estate near Gerrards Cross. Among them were his bandmates, including Zakk Wylde, Metallica frontman James Hetfield, rock star Marilyn Manson, Sir Elton John and singer Yungblud.

Rylan Clark says 'once was enough' as he battles 'sharp pain' in love life insight
Former X Factor star Rylan Clark has opened up on his love life, candidly admitting that he 'couldn't imagine going through it twice' following a devastating break-up Getting over a relationship can be difficult, it's a mountain range of emotions on a turbulent sea as both parties attempt to heal following the split. Whether there has been a marriage or not, break-ups can be agonising ordeals, meaning that moving forward can be challenging and take considerable time for all involved. This was one topic former X Factor contestant Rylan Clark, 36, explored with his guest Vanessa Williams on his podcast 'Rylan: How to Be In Love', during which they shared their romantic experiences. Rylan has been wed once, for six years to Dan Neal, between 2015 and 2021. Meanwhile, The Devil Wears Prada Musical star Vanessa, 62, has walked down the aisle three times. She was first married to Ramon Hervey II, then to Rick Fox, and finally to Jim Skrip. What both Rylan and actress Vanessa share is that the timing of one of their marriages coincided, with Vanessa tying the knot with Jim in 2015 before their divorce in 2021. Reflecting on their divorces, Rylan confessed that it wasn't something he would wish to endure again, due to the immense anguish it brought him. Rylan revealed he continues to experience excruciating reminders of his heartache to this day, sharing: "I've had to do it once and once was enough for me. "You still get that weird sharp pain every now and again. "It'll be something so stupid like, 'Oh that glass looks like...' and it's, like, that little. I couldn't imagine going through that twice, I don't know how I'd fare." Rylan has previously opened up about his marriage to Dan Neal, with the BBC Radio 2 presenter confessing he experienced certain feelings he wasn't familiar with post-divorce. Speaking on the same podcast, he admitted: "I have found that, since the breakdown of my marriage, if I've gone on any dates or started seeing people, when I've had sex with them, I lose interest pretty quickly. "I actually got pretty worried about a year or two ago, because I thought, hang on a minute, I don't remember this from BM I call it, before marriage. "I don't remember having sex with someone, or orgasming with someone, climaxing, and then after that thinking, 'Oh, I'm just not bothered now'."
