Brad Pitt needs to ‘try and be calm' on the road

Daily Tribune21-06-2025

Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles
Brad Pitt has admitted he needs to 'chill' while driving.
The Hollywood star - who plays racer Sonny Hayes in new blockbuster F1 - got to speed around racetracks for the movie, but he acknowledged he should learn to slow down when he's out and about.
Noting he is 'trying to be calm in traffic', Brad told Extra: 'I'm one of those that feels like I'm always on the racetrack and I need to, like, chill. 'I just need to chill. So that's this year, just trying to chill.
Enjoy the sights, don't sweat the traffic. 'I'm not doing very well, by the way.'
The 61-year-old actor's character in the movie is a retired driver making his return to the sport, and Brad has seen parallels with the film world.
He said: 'It's nice... It's a funny thing because I see the new generations coming in and it's really exciting what they're doing, and the movies are about a place in time, in our time, and they reflect our time…
'I really enjoy it, but I so enjoy what other people are doing, so it's less of a hunt and more of an appreciation, you know, as the natural evolution happens.'
Brad recently opened up about having to learn from his mistakes, as he appeared to reflect on lessons learned following his divorce from Angelina Jolie.
He told Entertainment Tonight: 'o matter the mistake, you know, you just learn from (it) and move on.'
Brad added about making an error: 'It'll lead to the next success.'
The A-lister and and Angelina concluded their divorce in December 2024, more than eight years after the actress, 50, first filed to dissolve their marriage in September 2016.
The couple, who starred together in Mr and Mrs Smith, share six children – Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.
Speaking about what keeps him grounded at this point in life, Brad said: 'At this age, you see how important it is to surround yourself with the people you know, the people you love, the people that love you back.'

Khloe Kardashian felt ‘more confident' before weight loss

Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Khloe Kardashian felt 'way more confident' before she lost weight. The 40-year-old reality star has opened up about her fitness journey and the public's reaction to her weight loss as she hit out at the 'gross' response from certain people. Speaking on her own Khloe in Wonder Land podcast, she told fitness influencer Whitney Simmons: 'The bigger I was, I was way more confident. 'I think because, like, what are going to say about me? I know all the things you're going to say. I would have my days that I would feel low and all of that. 'When I started my fitness journey and, like, becoming in shape, I felt such a need that I had to keep this up, like even if it wasn't for me. I felt like, 'Well, I can't get fat again, because everyone is expecting that to happen.' ' Instead, she found herself getting 'a different type of attention'. She added: 'It was also a different type of attention I was now receiving. 'And then once I got a little older, I was like, 'Wait, this is gross.' I hated that that's why I was getting more attention because I looked a certain way.' Khloe insisted she had the 'same amount of people' sending her abuse regardless of her weight. She explained: 'I've learned, no matter what, I'm never going to make people happy because I was once bigger, I was thinner, and I had the same amount of people, but from different ends. 'When I lost weight, I was 'a traitor to the bigger community'; I'm 'not myself'; I'm 'not funny anymore.' I'm 'not all the things' that I still am at my core. 'I just aesthetically look a little different, or a lot different, whatever you want to say.' Although she has been through lots of ups and downs in her own life, Khloe is determined to achieve something positive using her 'platform'. The star - who has daughter True, seven, and son Tatum, two, with her ex-partner Tristan Thompson - recently told PEOPLE magazine: 'I feel like I was given this opportunity, these platforms, for a reason. 'And it's really easy to sort of believe the hype and forget really where you came from and just believe the BS because so much of it is filler. 'We have to have some sort of core and heart and moral compass.'

Gina Gershon almost broke Tom Cruise's nose

Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Gina Gershon almost broke Tom Cruise's nose when he tickled her during a love scene. The 63-year-old actress appeared opposite the Top Gun star in 1988 movie Cocktail and she's revealed she accidentally kicked him in the face and left him covered in blood while they were filming a romantic scene in bed together. She told the Guardian newspaper: 'I almost broke his nose. I had never done a love scene before and it was going to be with Tom Cruise. I thought: God, I get paid for this. He was so cute. I had a crush on him immediately. He was very protective and very much a gentleman, saying: 'Let's keep you covered.' He was very concerned ... 'I'd told him I was very ticklish, because he had started to tickle me earlier. I said: 'Just don't do that. I lose control because I was tortured as a child by my brother'. 'Right before the take, he was down there and grabbed my waist in a tickly, sweet manner. I didn't mean to, but I had a kneejerk reaction right into his nose. 'It was full of blood. I thought: I just broke Tom Cruise's nose.' Gershon admits she felt terrible about the accident and feared she'd never work in Hollywood again - but Cruise was very 'kind' and 'sweet'. She added: ' I [thought I] will never work in Hollywood again. I was mortified because I really kicked him good. I didn't mean to. 'He said: 'Nope. My bad. You warned me.' I remember thinking: this guy is a movie star. He deserves everything he gets. 'He was just so kind and so sweet with me in a situation where I was quite vulnerable.' Gershon also starred in 1995 erotic drama Showgirls and she previously admitted she was terrified for her career after the movie bombed at the box office. She told The Independent newspaper: 'I realised I have a lot of PTSD around that movie ... They were like, this is gonna be huge – but I knew it was going to be a disaster.

Sarah Jessica Parker has struggled with ‘mean' comments about her appearance

Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Sarah Jessica Parker struggled to cope with 'mean' comments about her appearance. The 60-year-old actress noticed a shift in how people spoke about her after she landed the role of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City back in, and she admitted the sudden attention was 'a real test of my coping mechanisms'. Asked what she struggled with most, she told the Call Her Daddy podcast: 'Just discussions of my physical person. 'Like stuff that I couldn't change, and wouldn't change, and had never considered changing, or even still after hearing something that was like, 'What? Somebody would say that?' 'Even still… no interest in changing it.' The actress, who has reprised the role of Carrie in spin-off series And Just Like That star, noted that the initial backlash was tough in a time before social media without a chance to response. She added: 'I didn't feel like I could sit in a room, and someone would say to me, 'You're really unattractive.' 'And then I could say, 'Wow, um, well first of all, that's hard to hear. But second of all, why do you seem angry about it?' 'Or, 'Why do you feel it's necessary to say it?' ' Sarah recalled ringing her friends in tears after one unnamed magazine made a 'really meal' comment about her appearance. She said: 'It was like a kick in the rubber parts. 'I was just like, 'Why is this a problem? Why is this deserving of your time? And why do you seem to delight in saying it?' 'I was sobbing because it felt so purposeful. And I think that's the only time I really cried about it.' Meanwhile, Jessica has opened up about the double stand in the way people judge female characters like Carrie.
