'Season Is Over' - NFL Fans Concerned About Justin Jefferson Injury
'Season Is Over' - NFL Fans Concerned About Justin Jefferson Injury originally appeared on The Spun. The Minnesota Vikings had some concerning news to share regarding All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson. At the start of training camp this week, Jefferson told reporters that he's looking to have the best year of his career. That'll be tough to do considering he had 103 catches for 1,533 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. "I feel like every year it's hard trying to outdo the previous year, but I also feel like that's what makes me, me," Jefferson said. "That's what makes me chase greatness." Unfortunately for Jefferson, he'll have to rehab a hamstring injury before he can terrorize opposing secondaries. "Head Coach Kevin O'Connell has announced that WR Justin Jefferson has a mild hamstring strain and he will be held out of practice. Jefferson will be re-evaluated next week," the Vikings said Friday afternoon. Immediately after the Vikings shared this news with the public, fans declared that the 2025 season is already over. "I am currently trying to remain calm," one fan said. "Seasons over, see y'all next year," a second fan wrote on X. "No way bro, why can't we have anything," a Vikings fan said. "Just scratch the season," another fan commented. When healthy, Jefferson is the best wide receiver in the NFL. Since entering the league in 2020, he has hauled in 495 passes for 7,432 yards and 40 touchdowns. If Jefferson has to miss time to start the season, Minnesota will lean on Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson in the passing game. Of course, we're hoping Jefferson is cleared in time for Week 1.'Season Is Over' - NFL Fans Concerned About Justin Jefferson Injury first appeared on The Spun on Jul 25, 2025 This story was originally reported by The Spun on Jul 25, 2025, where it first appeared.

Browns WR Cedric Tillman exits Friday's practice with leg injury
The Cleveland Browns failed to make any substantial upgrade to their wide receiver room, and now may be in hot water as a result. Wide receiver Cedric Tillman, who missed the back half of the season with a concussion, has once again left the practice field with another injury. Tillman injured his leg and did not return to practice. The Browns did not give an update on the status of Tillman, as he is likely undergoing further testing. This leaves the Browns incredibly thin at the position behind Pro Bowler Jerry Jeudy. The only substantial move that the Browns made was to bring in Diontae Johnson on a one-year deal, a player who burned through three locker rooms in 2024. David Bell has also started the season on Physically Unable to Perform. This means the Browns will get a healthy dose of second-year player Jamari Thrash, who has much to prove after essentially a net-zero rookie season. Tillman, while he had a miniature breakout in 2024, has to stay on the field for the Browns to be able to count on him. We'll know soon just how severe an injury that Tillman is facing, as the Browns will likely be cautious with him the rest of training camp. Austin FC's Brandon Vázquez Tears Right ACL, Hampering World Cup Chances
Austin FC forward Brandon Vazquez tore his right ACL, an injury that will hamper his chances of making the U.S. roster for next year's World Cup. The 26-year-old was hurt during Tuesday night's US Open Cup quarterfinal against San Jose. Austin said Thursday he will have season-ending surgery. Vázquez fell without contact in the 69th minute, four minutes after converting a penalty kick that tied the score 1-1. He was removed from the field on a stretcher. An MLS All-Star, Vázquez joined Austin from Monterrey in January and leads the team with nine goals in all competitions this season. He has four goals in 11 appearances for the U.S. but was not on the CONCACAF Gold Cup roster. Austin won 4-2 on penalty kicks after a 2-2 draw and plays Minnesota on Sept. 16.
