Anwar arrived at the palace at around 11 a.m., shortly after the special aircraft carrying him landed at Terminal Two of Kota Kinabalu International Airport at 10.35 am to begin a one-day working visit to the state.
He signed the guest book before holding a four-eyed meeting with Musa in the Special Visitors' Hall.

While in Tawau, the Prime Minister is also scheduled to hand over the completed Tamu Desa Sabah project, present the Sabah Entrepreneur Excellence Awards and launch the Solar MADANI Programme.
Anwar and Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor are also expected to conduct a walkabout to observe the services provided by federal agencies and departments participating in the programme.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to return to Kuala Lumpur later this evening.

PM: Asean must remain united, principled to address regional, global challenges
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has emphasised the need for Asean to remain united, principled, and focused on dialogue in addressing both regional and global challenges. He said this matter was discussed during a phone conversation with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. after his return from Jakarta, Indonesia, last night. "We talked about recent developments in the region, including his visit to the United States, and Asean's crucial role in strengthening regional cooperation," he said in a social media post. Anwar also noted the positive progress in the ongoing peace efforts between Cambodia and Thailand, despite some challenges. "Malaysia appreciates the constructive contributions from major powers like China and the United States, as well as Asean partners, in supporting these peace talks," he added. On Monday, Anwar announced that Thailand and Cambodia had agreed to an immediate and unconditional ceasefire to ease tensions along their disputed border. This was the outcome of a special meeting he chaired in Putrajaya. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Thai acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai attended the meeting, along with United States (US) Ambassador to Malaysia Edgard Kagan and Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing. The US co-hosted the meeting, with China participating as an observer to support a peaceful resolution to the situation. The two neighbouring Southeast Asian countries have a long-standing dispute over their 817-kilometre border, which remains partially unmarked. Tensions flared on May 28 when clashes between Thai and Cambodian soldiers near the Preah Vihear border resulted in the death of a Cambodian soldier. The most recent conflict erupted on July 24, with additional clashes reported in northern Cambodia, causing casualties on both sides. – BERNAMA

PM Anwar to table 13th Malaysia Plan in Parliament tomorrow
PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be tabling the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) in the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday (July 31). According to a media invite from the Economy Ministry, Anwar will be tabling the 13MP at 11.30am until 2.30pm. Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul said on July 19, the tabling of the 13MP will be the main focus of the Second Meeting of the Fourth Session of the 15th Parliament. The 13MP, which sets the direction for the country's development for 2026 to 2030, is the first by the Madani Government under Anwar's administration as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia. Anwar previously said the 13MP was formulated with a focus on the economic empowerment of the people through increased income, inclusive and sustainable economic structural reforms, as well as strengthening governance and efficiency in public service delivery. Apart from that, it also emphasises regional justice, human capital development, and policy reforms to strengthen Malaysia's competitiveness at the global level in line with the principles of Madani Malaysia. In this regard, Johari said this Dewan Rakyat session would provide adequate debate time for Members of Parliament to discuss the contents of the 13th Malaysia Plan while calling on all elected representatives to be professional and use the debate space well. The Star in its front page in July 25 highlighted that the (13MP) is expected to enhance Malaysia's competitiveness by promoting high-value manufacturing through business and investor-friendly policies, according to experts and economists. The Prime Minister had previously said the 13MP was being formulated with a focus on the economic empowerment of the people through increased income, inclusive and sustainable economic structural reforms, as well as strengthening governance and efficiency in the delivery of public services.
