"Terrible form can barely get his chin above the bar @kendricklamar," one user commented. Another added, "Those pull-ups suck. I ain't gon lie lol," while others continued to mock his technique, with one stating, "Half reps for only weighing 130lbs is crazy."

Additionally, some fans doubted the authenticity of the video's timestamp, pointing out that Lamar has been living in New York, making them skeptical that it was filmed in California. "Couldn't be. We all know he lives in New York," an X user wrote. Others dismissed the claim about the weather, arguing that California isn't as hot in March as the post implied.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar continues to dominate the music charts. His album GNX, released in November 2024, has reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 for the third non-consecutive week. The album saw 90,500 units sold this week, outperforming Drake and PartyNextDoor's $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, which landed at No. 2 with 90,000 units.
GNX also generated buzz for its lyrical content, with Lamar calling out Snoop Dogg and Lil Wayne on the track waced out murals. "Snoop posted 'Taylor Made,' I prayed it was the edibles/ I couldn't believe it, it was only right for me to let it go,' Lamar rapped, referencing Snoop Dogg sharing Drake's diss track Taylor Made Freestyle. The rapper also addressed Lil Wayne, stating, "I used to bump 'Tha Carter 3,' I held my Rollie chain proud/ Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down."
Despite online chatter about his workout video, Kendrick Lamar remains at the center of the hip-hop conversation, both for his music and his public appearances.

Police investigate BTS record label for fraud

HYBE, the agency behind K-pop superstars BTS, was raided by police on Thursday in connection with alleged fraudulent trading involving its founder Bang Si-hyuk, investigators said. "We are conducting a search and seizure at HYBE's headquarters in Yongsan District," Seoul police said in a brief statement, as per AFP. Bang, the mastermind behind BTS, is under investigation over allegations that he misled early investors to reap illicit profits from the company's 2020 initial public offering. He is accused of gaining around 200 billion won (US$146 million) through the process, according to local reports. HYBE has denied Bang committed any wrongdoing. "We will dutifully clarify that the listing at the time was carried out in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations," the company said in early July, pledging "active cooperation" with authorities to get to the bottom of the case. Bang allegedly misled HYBE's early investors, who held pre-IPO shares, by telling them in 2019 he had no plans to take the company public. He then allegedly encouraged them to sell their shares to private equity funds when in fact IPO plan was in the making. HYBE went public in 2020, after the shareholders sold their stakes. The 52-year-old is accused of secretly striking a deal with the private equity funds to receive a portion of the profits they made from selling shares after the IPO. The investigation comes as all seven BTS members complete their mandatory military service and prepare for a comeback next year. HYBE announced this month that a new album and world tour were scheduled for 2026. BTS, known for championing progressive causes, holds the record as the most-streamed group on Spotify and became the first K-pop act to top both the Billboard 200 and Billboard Artist 100 charts in the United States. Before their military service, BTS generated more than 5.5 trillion won (USD4 billion) in yearly economic impact, according to the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute. That accounts for roughly 0.2 per cent of South Korea's total GDP, according to official data. There had been debate over whether BTS should be granted exemptions from military service -—sometimes granted to Olympic medallists and classical artists who win top international awards — but pop stars do not qualify under South Korean laws. With the lack of public consensus on the matter, the members enlisted individually, beginning in late 2022.

Drake pays tribute to Ozzy Osbourne in Birmingham during UK tour after metal legend's death at 76

Drake paid tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne in the heavy metal legend's hometown of Birmingham on July 23, 2025, following news of Osbourne's death at age 76. The Black Sabbath frontman passed away surrounded by family, prompting an outpouring of tributes from across the music world — including an unexpected one from the Canadian rapper. Drake, currently touring the UK and Europe with PARTYNEXTDOOR on his $ome $pecial $hows 4 UK EU tour, happened to be performing in Birmingham when news of Osbourne's passing broke. According to The New York Times, the rapper visited the Black Sabbath Bench, a local monument honoring the iconic band, where he joined fans in mourning. Drake reportedly poured tequila on the ground and said, 'I just came out to pay respects to someone who lived it to the fullest,' describing Osbourne as a 'cultural touchstone' — even for those unfamiliar with his music. Later that evening, still in Birmingham, Drake opened his final show at the Utilita Arena by walking onstage to Black Sabbath's classic track 'Iron Man.' Addressing the crowd, he declared: 'Hey Birmingham! Rest in peace to the legendary Ozzy Osbourne.' Speaking to ITV News, Iommi said the show 'meant everything' to Osbourne and speculated he 'held out' to perform one last time. The concert, which also featured Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Tool, and more, became the highest-grossing charity show in history. Tributes have also come from Billie Joe Armstrong, Elton John, Ghost, Jack White, and others — reflecting the immense influence Osbourne had across generations and genres.
