Arsenal v Bournemouth
One of the most important factors to consider here is that the Gunners are in the midst of a Champions League semi-final.
The North Londoners will have to overturn a 1-0 deficit against PSG in the French capital next Wednesday and with little to play for in the league it would be understandable if Mikel Arteta viewed this weekend's game as a low priority.
That being said, Arsenal have lost three league games all season and just once at home.
Granted, one of those defeats came against the Cherries at the Vitality Stadium but Andoni Iraola's side have faded at the back end of the campaign.
In fact, only West Ham and the three relegated sides have taken fewer points than Bournemouth from their last ten games.
Only Everton have drawn more times than Arsenal in the top flight this term.
Our Prediction: 1-1 draw
5
Brentford v Manchester United
The Red Devils may also be distracted by their two-legged European semi-final this weekend.
If their Europa League tie with Athletic Bilbao hangs in the balance after the first leg then Ruben Amorim may even choose to rest key players at the Gtech Stadium.
Score Predictor users will get another chance to scout the Bees when they take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Thursday night but fans, rivals and neutrals alike should know what Thomas Frank's troops offer by now.
Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa are one of the most effective partnerships in Europe having scored 34 league goals between them - both are among the top six scorers in the Premier League at present.
Man United have won five of seven meetings with Brentford since the latter were promoted but will head into Sunday's match-up seven points and three places behind the West Londoners.
We may tweak our prediction after Thursday night's fixtures but for now...
Our Prediction: 2-1 to Brentford
5
Brighton v Newcastle
The Magpies are finishing the season in fine style with only Wolves above them in the form table (last six games) ahead of this weekend's action.
Eddie Howe's side have won seven of their last eight outings in all competitions and averaged three goals per game throughout April.
In contrast, the Seagulls late win over West Ham last weekend was their first victory since early March.
Like Bournemouth, Brighton's push for European qualification has stalled at a crucial time but they may yet snatch a place in the Conference League.
Newcastle have won more league games on the road then Fabian Hurzeler's side have managed at home in 2024/25 but this has been something of a bogey fixture for the Toon in recent times.
Brighton have won three of the last four meetings (plus a draw) including victories in both the league and FA Cup this season.
Even so, we're inclined to follow the form guide on this occasion.
Our Prediction: 3-1 to Newcastle
5
Chelsea v Liverpool
There's a danger that Sunday's main event may fall a little flat.
The Reds have already confirmed their league triumph and will likely bring a last-day-before-summer-holiday vibe to their remaining commitments.
But sometimes a release of pressure allows players to express themselves with great effect.
Chelsea can't afford to slack off as they find themselves firmly among the scrap to finish in the top five but if Enzo Maresca is to lift a trophy in his first year at Stamford Bridge then it will have to be the Conference League.
If the Blues make mincemeat of Djurgarden in the first leg then it will be easier to focus on the task at hand when Liverpool come to town but if the Swedish underdogs put up a fight then the hosts may have one eye on the second leg.
A tricky fixture, one easy to overthink.
Our Prediction: 2-0 to Liverpool
5
Crystal Palace v Nottingham Forest
The theme of this Matchweek seems to be teams distracted by other commitments as the Eagles will surely be prioritising their date with destiny in the FA Cup final.
However, that's still a fortnight away and so Oliver Glasner's side should be suitably focused on Monday night and they could do with a league win having mustered just two points from their last four outings.
As for Forest, they will be highly motivated to secure Champions League qualification - a win over Brentford this evening would help.
The two-time European champions are unbeaten against Palace since their return to the top flight with Chris Wood providing the winner in the latest encounter back in October.
This match-up has been a low-scoring affair in recent years with just six goals scored in the last five meetings.

Cole Palmer stars as Chelsea claim stunning Club World Cup victory against PSG
Palmer scored two fine goals and created another for Joao Pedro, all in the first half, as the Premier League side defied huge odds in New York to shock the reigning European champions. Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was also outstanding as the Blues, who had been clear underdogs at the MetLife Stadium, secured a jackpot in excess of £90million as the first winners of FIFA's new 32-team tournament. FIFA CLUB WORLD CUP WINNERS!!! 🏆 — Chelsea FC (@ChelseaFC) July 13, 2025 PSG lost their discipline in the closing stages and Joao Neves was sent off with five minutes remaining for pulling the hair of Marc Cucurella. FIFA, the world governing body, had been determined to make the occasion, which was attended by US President Donald Trump, a huge success. The pre-match programme, which included a performance from Robbie Williams and a US Air Force flyover, overran and led to a kick-off delay – but Chelsea all but had the game wrapped up before Doja Cat appeared at half-time. It was a remarkable achievement against a PSG side that had been chasing their fifth trophy of a glorious season. Palmer, the Conference League final match-winner, was at his dazzling best and many in the stadium thought he had opened the scoring after eight minutes when he curled narrowly wide from a Pedro flick. PSG should have made the most of that reprieve and taken the lead themselves after Fabian Ruiz played in Desire Doue, but he opted to pass instead of shoot and Cucurella cleared. Doue did get an effort on goal shortly afterwards but Sanchez reacted well. Palmer took charge of the match after 22 minutes when he placed a left-foot shot perfectly into the bottom corner after Malo Gusto had seen his own attempt blocked. PSG were left reeling when he repeated the feat just eight minutes later. This time Palmer created the opportunity himself, latching onto a long ball from Levi Colwill and cutting inside from the right, and the finish was every bit as composed. He was not finished there either, turning provider before the interval to slip Pedro through on goal. The Brazilian, who scored twice on his full debut in the semi-final win over Fluminense, showed equally great composure to lift the ball over Gianluigi Donnarumma. Mr Trump said he was 'having a really great time' when interviewed by broadcaster DAZN at half-time and the Chelsea fans in the 81,118 crowd would doubtless have said likewise after such a scintillating display. PSG rallied but Sanchez kept out a header from Neves and then showed brilliant reflexes to paw away a close-range snap-shot on the turn from Ousmane Dembele. Liam Delap had a superb effort pushed away by Donnarumma within moments of coming off the Chelsea bench and went close again soon after. PSG were beaten and frustration was evident as Neves clashed with Cucurella and earned a red card after tugging at the Spaniard's hair. There were further scuffles after the final whistle as Chelsea's squad and staff poured onto the field to celebrate and PSG manager Luis Enrique was involved in an ugly incident with Pedro.

Joao Pedro blasts PSG after Luis Enrique fight in Club World Cup final
Joao Pedro has accused Paris Saint-Germain of being sore losers after he clashed with Luis Enrique during Chelsea's Club World Cup final win on Sunday. Chelsea stunned PSG in the final at the MetLife Stadium as a first-half double from Cole Palmer, plus an excellent finish from Pedro before the break, sealed a 3-0 victory for Enzo Maresca's side. However, tensions boiled over between both teams moments after the final whistle and the main flashpoint occurred when PSG duo Gianluigi Donnarumma and Achraf Hakimi confronted Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos. Pedro, who joined Chelsea in a £60 million deal from Brighton earlier this month, stepped in front of Donnarumma and Hakimi to protect Santos but Luis Enrique approached the Brazilian forward and pushed him in the face, knocking him to the ground. Luis Enrique was held back by PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe but the Spaniard now faces serious repercussions over his clash with the Chelsea forward. When asked about the incident with Luis Enrique, Pedro told Sportv: 'I went to protect Andrey, I saw their players were crowding Andrey. 'Like a good Brazilian, I went to protect my friend. A lot of people were arriving and in that mess, I ended up getting shoved. It's part of it. 'They didn't know how to lose, but that's football.' Speaking to CazeTV about Luis Enrique's push on Pedro, Santos said: 'There's no way of knowing at the time. I don't bow down to anyone. 'Jota [Joao Pedro] and the guys arrived. What matters is that we were champions.' Meanwhile, Luis Enrique claims he was attempting to diffuse the situation and claims Chelsea manager Maresca was also involved in the post-match brawl. 'What happened at the end of the match was a situation that everyone could have avoided,' Luis Enrique said. More Trending 'I tried to separate the players, there was tension. 'We should have all prevented the situation from escalating. I have no problem speaking up. 'After the match, there was a lot of tension. Everyone pushed and shoved players, a result of the tension. 'I saw Maresca push players, and people pushed him. These are situations we should all avoid. What I did was separate the players.' For more stories like this, check our sport page.
