The Secretariat march that will begin from the State Central Library will reach the Secretariat at 11 a.m. It will be inaugurated by Left Democratic Front convener T.P. Ramakrishnan.
The KSTA protest will raise a series of demands, including correction of the Union government's 'anti-people policies, rejection of the National Education Policy (NEP), concerted effort for creating a new Kerala, strengthening pro-people alternative policies, kicking off pay revision procedures, and ensuring job security.
It alleged that the NEP undermined the democratic and secular content of public education. Implementation of the NEP would have far-reaching consequences.
The Chief Minister had announced that salary revision of employees will be done despite financial constraints, the association said, calling for speeding up salary revision, sanctioning DA, and ensuring job security.
It called for joint efforts to address issues related to teachers' service-salary conditions.

The father and son have announced separate general council meetings on August 17 and August 9 respectively, leaving party cadre in a tough spot. 'We will wait for the investigation. That will bring out the truth.' Anbumani has so far not issued any response to his father's allegations. Disagreements between the father and son over party leadership flared up in December 2024. The following day, Union home minister Amit Shah, during a campaign visit to the state, announced that the BJP and AIADMK had resolved their differences and would fight the 2026 elections together.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday called on President Droupadi Murmu separately within hours at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here. It was not known the reasons behind the subsequent meetings of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister with the President. There have been no words either from the Prime Minister's Office or the Home Minister's office about the meetings other than two posts on 'X' from the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
