CDPR has previously made a big show of the fact that it was moving on to Cyberpunk 2077's next iteration, the sequel codenamed Orion. That involved ceasing development 2077 shortly after its 2.0 Phantom Liberty expansion dropped, but that…did not turn out to be the case.
It's an ongoing joke at this point that despite the fact that CDPR says it's done with Cyberpunk 2077, they keep making new patches. And now a big one is on the horizon. CDPR has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 patch 2.3 will arrive on June 26. As a full 'point' numbered patch, it's going to be a big one. Here's what happened in the last two big patches:

There have been other patches in between these that are mostly technical in nature or adding somewhat minor new things. But the point being, the game has received significant updates since Phantom Liberty launched in 2023.
This 2.3 patch came up during a CDPR stream where they were asked about new DLC for the game. They revealed the patch was coming, but I believe they consider the above features to be technically DLC, rather than say, an expansion like Phantom Liberty. Still, there are recent hints that there may be at least some new quests in development for a future update, maybe this one, based on job listings.
Why now? Well, CDPR really didn't seem to need a reason before, but this new update will come a month after Cyberpunk 2077 has launched on Nintendo Switch 2, something of a technical miracle that they were able to make that happen on a handheld system with those specs. It's a potential new audience getting to play the entire game up to patch 2.2 from the start, which is awesome. But now, 2.3 will be here soon and I'm guessing it will be similar to the last two. I cannot wait to see what it brings, and I will be reinstalling just to check it out.

Rod Stewart says he backs Brexit leader Nigel Farage in wide-ranging political discussion
Rod Stewart got political this week, saying he supports Brexit leader Nigel Farage over current Prime Minister Keir Starmer. "It's hard for me because I'm extremely wealthy, and I deserve to be, so a lot of it doesn't really touch me," the "Maggie May" singer told The London Times in a piece published Friday. "But that doesn't mean I'm out of touch. For instance, I've read about Starmer cutting off the fishing in Scotland and giving it back to the EU. That hasn't made him popular. We're fed up with the Tories. We've got to give Farage a chance. He's coming across well." Farage founded the Brexit Party in 2019, which eventually turned into the populist Reform UK, which he leads. His party would be on track to get the most seats in parliament if a general election were held this year, according to new polling, Sky News reported this week. The next general election is scheduled for 2029. Earlier this year, Reform UK had a series of electoral wins after it secured parliamentary, mayoral and several local election seats in what Farage said is proof that Reform UK is "now the opposition party to this Labour government." "What options have we got?" Stewart replied when a reporter expressed surprise at his support for Farage. "I know some of his family. I know his brother, and I quite like him. "Starmer's all about getting us out of Brexit, and I don't know how he's going to do that. Still, the country will survive. It could be worse. We could be in the Gaza Strip." The 80-year-old had harsher words for American conservatives, especially when it comes to Ukraine. "Did you see the way [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelenskyy was treated for not wearing a tie when he went to the White House? I could have jumped on [President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance]," the singer, who temporarily took in a displaced family from Ukraine in 2022, said. "And it backfired because no one liked it. You've got the other d-------, the one with the motor car company, coming in wearing a baseball cap. … Mate, it's depressing." He was referring to Elon Musk, who has since left the administration. Stewart also had thoughts on the Israel-Hamas war. "It's depressing what's going on in the Gaza Strip," he said. "[Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu doesn't realize that this is what happened to his people under the Nazis, total annihilation. And Trump is going to turn the Gaza Strip into Miami?" On X, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) called out that Jeff Bezos shouldn't be spending $50 million on his wedding in Venice if he can afford to spend more on taxes. Warren wrote: "If Jeff Bezos can afford to rent Venice for a $50 million wedding, he can afford to pay his fair share in taxes." Bezos and Sánchez got married on a private island in Venice, and many wealthy guests arrived by private jets. The couple requested no wedding presents and donated about $3.5 million to local charities. Warren has been highly critical of billionaires like Bezos not paying their fair share in taxes. She has advocated for legislation to increase the tax burden on the wealthiest Americans, particularly those who accumulate wealth through investments that are not currently taxed as regular income. She is also a vocal opponent to the government's recent halt to some crypto investigations.
