Hollands returns as Blues brace for heartbreaking news
O'Farrell suffered a suspected ACL tear after landing awkwardly from a marking contest in Sunday's 27-point loss to Fremantle.
The No.40 pick from last year's national draft had made huge progress at the Blues this season, and coach Michael Voss said he was shattered to see the 19-year-old cut down in just his sixth game.
The injury came just minutes after O'Farrell had kicked his maiden AFL goal.

"The highs and lows of football, it's got a great way of being able to lift you up, and it's got a very nasty way of being able to bring you down as well," Voss said.
"But that sort of resilience and grit over time. you learn through your career.
"Sometimes you get things when you don't want it to show up, and they show up, and this is what might have shown up for him.
"We'll support him. We'll wrap our arms around him.
"He's not a massive man yet, but his ability to be able to read the game - he's just a natural footballer.
"The players just love playing with him, because he's super reliable."

Hollands took leave in March for a personal matter, then returned for a block of five matches before taking another period of indefinite leave in May.
The 23-year-old former Sun will return to the AFL program this week with the view of playing in the VFL.
"He'll come back into the club this week," Voss said.
"He's been hovering around the VFL, doing a bit of that. He'll be back this week and playing VFL football this week."
When asked if Hollands could make it back to AFL level before the season ended, Voss replied: "Possibly, but we've only got three games left.
"He'll come back and play some VFL football. He's been training pretty hard, so he'll be ready to go."
Carlton (7-13) will be back in action on action on Saturday night against Gold Coast at Marvel Stadium, before rounding out their season with matches against Port Adelaide (home) and Essendon.

Summer McIntosh wins fourth gold of the World Aquatics Championships
Summer McIntosh won her fourth gold medal of the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore with a dominant performance in the 400-meter individual medley. The Canadian teenager finished in 4:25.78 to set a new championship record and cap off a near-perfect meet with five medals across her events. American superstar Katie Ledecky is the only other woman to win as many golds at a single World Championships, while only Sweden's Sarah Sjöström has matched McIntosh's tally of five medals. With her bronze medal in the 800-meter freestyle on Saturday, McIntosh fell just short of matching Michael Phelps' record of five gold medals at a single World Championships. 'Overall, I'm happy with this World Championships,' McIntosh told CBC News. 'I have to be, four golds is something that I've never achieved at the world stage before. 'I broke my kind of curse of three – everything comes in threes but now everything comes in fours, and hopefully, I can push for everything to come in fives.' In Sunday's 400-meter individual medley, the 18-year-old finished more than seven seconds clear of Australia's Jenna Forrester and Japan's Mio Narita, who tied for silver with a time of 4:33.26. China's 12-year-old Yu Zidi, who previously became the youngest medalist at the World Championships, was half a second outside the medals in fourth. McIntosh now has 13 medals from the World Championships, including eight golds. In Singapore, she also took victories in the 400m freestyle, the 200m butterfly, and the 200m medley. In the men's 400m medley, France's Léon Marchand won his second gold medal of the championships by completing a medley double. His winning time of 4:04.73 saw him finish ahead of Japan's Tomoyuki Matsushita and Russian Ilia Borodin in second and third respectively, claiming his seventh career gold at the World Championships.

Sean McVay says Rams hope to ease Matthew Stafford back to football in the near future
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is described as week-to-week as he deals with back issues, and head coach Sean McVay says the Rams hope they can get Stafford back, slowly but surely. Asked if Stafford might be capable of doing the jog-through practice the Rams have scheduled for Monday, Mcvay said he's not ready for that. "No, he'll be doing a workout on his own during that time period. He is able to do a little bit more, which is good, and things are progressing well, but he won't take part in the jog-through because he'll be doing some other stuff," McVay said. So what is Stafford doing while the Rams are in team work? McVay made it sound fairly basic. "It's static throwing," McVay said. "It's some of the unloaded running on the treadmill. Sometimes it might even be walking. He's able to do a little lighter cardio and able to do some good core work. It's more just functional strength surrounding the area, making sure you don't do anything to set yourself back based on the trajectory he's doing. We are looking forward to getting him and easing him back into football hopefully in the near future." The Rams open the season at home on September 7 against the Texans, which gives them five weeks to ease Stafford back to football.
