Fan asks Rodrygo if he's 'joining Arsenal' as Real Madrid prepare for transfer
The Brazil international's future at the Santiago Bernabeu is in major doubt having been benched for five of their six matches at the Club World Cup in the United States.
The relationship between club and player soured towards the end of last season and while Xabi Alonso's arrival in the Spanish capital initially appeared to ease tensions, a summer departure is being considered.
Real are prepared to sell the 24-year-old, valuing him at €80million (£67m) with AS reporting Rodrygo has 'become more of a problem than a solution' at the club.
Arsenal have been in contact with the winger's representatives since May with Mikel Arteta a huge admirer.

It remains to be seen whether the Gunners are still interested in pursuing a deal with Noni Madueke set to arrive from Chelsea in a £52million deal.
Real Madrid crashed out of the Club World Cup this week after a 4-0 thrashing against Paris Saint-Germain in New Jersey.
On Friday, Spanish outlet El Chiringuito shared a clip of Rodrygo taking in the sights in New York City, with a fan approaching him and asking: 'Are you going to Arsenal?' in English.
Rodrygo did not reply, instead moving on to pose with another fan for a selfie.

The Brazilian's future will likely become clearer in the coming weeks but his persistent absence from the side in the US over the last month has fuelled speculation he will leave. More Trending
Alonso has previously described leaving the player out as a 'technical decision', repeating those comments after the 4-0 defeat to PSG.
But with remarks that only further fuelled speculation over Rodrygo's exit, the Spaniard explained he thought his side would be 'better off' without the Brazilian in the team.
'I didn't play Rodrygo for a technical decision,' Alonso said.
'We thought we would be better off with other players. It's not about his future'.

But he ignored that doomsday prognosis and after an operation to rebuild his Achilles — including having a skin graft from his arm to his ankle — he returned to playing after a 22-month absence. Oviedo's first La Liga fixture is away at Villarreal — another former club of Cazorla's — on August 15 before hosting Jude Bellingham's Real Madrid.

A champagne cork landed by the Italian's feet just as he was about to serve during his championship triumph at SW19 Jannik Sinner insists he was unfazed by a missle thrown onto Centre Court during his four-set victory over rival Carlos Alcaraz that saw him become a Wimbledon champion for the first time. The Italian - who lost to the Spaniard at the French Open earlier this year - fought back from a set down at SW19 to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4, serving out to win the Championship in style. During the thrilling showpiece final, a champagne cork was thrown in tennis star Sinner's direction just as the 23-year-old was about to serve. His opponent Alcaraz saw the object fly through the air and waved his arms in frustration before a Wimbledon official then urged fans in the crowd to refrain from throwing anything onto the court. But classy Sinner kept his composure to get the job done, securing his fourth major title at the age of just 23. And the South Tyrol-born star even joked that seeing a champagne cork land by his feet is only something that would happen at Wimbledon. Asked in his post-match interview by BBC Sport if he had ever experienced anything similar during a game, he replied: "No, only here at Wimbledon! "But that's exactly why we love playing here. It's a very expensive tournament also!" Sinnker also admits the victory was extra sweet having lost out to good pal Alcaraz in that epic Paris showdown last month. "I would say mostly emotionally because I had a very tough loss in Paris", he added. "But at the end of the day it doesn't matter how you win or you lose, at important tournaments you just have to understand what you did wrong and work on that. We tried to accept the loss and keep working. For sure that is one of the reasons why I am holding this trophy. Having this means a lot. "The last game I served very well, I had some tough moments in the game before, but in best-of-five matches every moment can change the match, so I'm very happy I held my nerve."
