In her latest Instagram story, Sonam shared a screenshot of a past chat with Sufi, pointing out a pattern of private politeness and public mockery. 'He DMs friends to give explanations, is all nice in private, but will mock you in public," she wrote. Sonam further mentioned that she had previously ignored it when Sufi made fun of her role in a web series. The rift between the two started when Sufi mocked Sonam's Cannes appearance, where she wore a white cape with the names and dates of major Indian tragedies printed on it: 2008 – Mumbai, 2016 – Uri, 2019 – Pulwama, and 2025 – Pahalgam.
